  3. because it fits the woke narrative. Almost all are economic refugees...they're here for a job or the free welfare. Sweden let everyone in who applied, and they've gone from one of the most peaceful law abiding countries in the world to having the 2nd highest crime rate in Europe (Germany isn't far behind...they let everyone in too, until they hit a million ppl) All the best to you!

  6. well, we've heard all the stories about what happens if you use the App. If you pass someone in the street, you're quarantined for 2 weeks. If someone is in the same building as you, but on the floor above or below, and they have covid, you're quarantined for 2 weeks. If there's a positive person in a grocery store, you're quarantined for 2 weeks. NO one wants to spend most of the rest of the year, quarantined for 2 wks time after time.

  16. yes, but there have been about 10 MILLION essential travellers allowed. There aren't that many essential jobs. If you're rich enough or you know someone, you can easily get an exemption.

  18. the other reason for the breakthrough cases are the mRNA vaccines' antibodies, fading fairly quickly after 4-5 mos, especially in older or ill ppl. AstraZeneca seems to keep it's antibodies....there's only a slight decrease. If you've HAD covid, your antibodies are still strong after more than a year....some who were tested had covid in March 2020. so if you're older or ill...get a 3rd booster in 5 mos or a bit less if you had Pfizer or Moderna.

  19. Pfizer shots are providing immunity for shorter and shorter periods. The 3rd shot lasted 4-5 mos then immunity dropped off. the 4th dose lasts 10 WEEKS before immunity drops off.

  20. i remember the "wretched weather " visit. They were actually way up North in the territories and were way underdressed...Not only did they get to shiver from the wind, but it was raining and then a chopper landed near them, spraying them with water and mud. They laughed.

  21. the skyrocketing infections in England have resulted in only 29 deaths with Omicron. And the ICU's aren't filling up. They're having over 120,000 new Omicron cases per day, but almost all are having the sniffles and a headache at home. It's estimated that 50% of the colds in England are Omicron covid.

  23. yes, it's hard to think of much worse you can do to the environment besides taking rocket ships into space for 10 mins. Bezos should maybe instead concentrate on his workers in their boiling hot Amazon warehouses (none have air conditioning) who have to work with no bathroom breaks.

  27. it's not as drastic as ppl think the new abortion law is....there's nothing in the Constitution about abortion. It just sends the question back to the individual states... about 35 states have pro abortion laws. I'm not sure what the US decision has to do with other countries.. New York and the West coast will keep their abortion laws....so will most of New England. I expect Americans will stop there.

  34. oh grow a pair. I've had covid, i'm 67 and have Terrible lungs (asthma not smoking) Harsh cough and SPLITTING headache for 10 days, and SO tired!! Not my most fun 10 dys in life, but i didn't need to be hospitalized. That's what will happen to over 90% of the guys the age of the one you interviewed....sure they could POSSIBLY end up in the hospital , but tomorrow he could step out in front of a bus and end up in the same place....the 70 and 80 yr olds are ending up in the morgue.

Not only is the price of concert tickets crazy.....especially when there's no guarantee that the star will show up....but paying 95,000$ for a dress...any dress! and thousands for a purse that's a dull brown colour (sorry, Louis Vuitton) is also nuts. Ppl are starving and homeless.....there's better ways to spend thousands of dollars.

  49. as a former child, i was taught the same thing. It's a wonder kids haven't been squished outside Hamilton.....there's a fairly sharp curve in one place and kids are always running across the main track line to smack the train that's almost stopped on the 2nd line. The train on the second line is waiting for an express to pass, of course....and you can't see / hear it coming because of the other train. Someday.... All the best to you!

  50. at the end of the '80's, i was visiting a friend in Toronto. I mentioned how YOUNG the police seemed to be. "oh yes" he said, "they're mostly just out of college. They work in Toronto for a few yrs for experience, then move to a smaller town outside the city. Better working conditions, a law abiding community that's happy to see them, a little less pay but WAY less living expenses...."
