  1. once upon a time (this is true.) a computer sent a man a bill for no pounds, no pence. He ignored it. 30 days later he got a reminder to pay no puunds and no pence. He phoned the company and the operator said that it would be fixed. After 60 days, he got ANOTHER bill for no pounds and no pence....he phoned again, and they reassured him that the computer would be fixed. 90 days after the original bill, he received a stern letter from the company demanding their no pounds and no pence, and if he didn't he would be put into collection. So he sent them a cheque for no pounds and no pence, and received a thank you for paying his bill.

  2. ooo guess what? That cemetary in L A is CLOSED on Saturday and Sunday. Also, the weather was very cloudy and rainy that weekend....the weather doesn't match the photo op. Plus Harry wanted to lay a PRIVATE wreath from himself.....NONE of the other Royals do that. Charles lays the wreath from the Nation, Philip lays the Consort wreath, Wills lay the Air force wreath, Edward Earl of Wessex lays the Yeoman wreath, Princess Anne lays the Navy wreath. NOBODY lays a personal wreath....it''s all on the behalf of the Nation. ps Megs NEVER touches him anymore in most pix....and he MUST walk a few steps behind Megs.

  4. the French subs had to be recharged every 2 yrs. Australia had nowhere to recharge them.....the US /UK subs are permanent. Those subs stay charged for 35 yrs.

  5. my best friend from high school died the day after Betty White did. She was diagnosed with colon cancer just before covid broke out...after a treatment or 2, her chemo was suspended. By the time they started up again, the cancer was all over her abdomen.

  9. yup, that's the main point....Orban is extremely pro Hungarian. I remember when there was the surge of Syrian and African refugees in '16. The EU announced that Hungary was to take hundreds of thousands of them. Hungary announced that they ween't taking anyone, in fact the refugees had to go around the country, because Hungary couldn't afford to take care of them.

  17. Harry should have been nominated. He got TWO jobs this wk... the Chief Impact Officer of BetterUp....a mental health start up.....aka mascot. A billlionaires' group has also hired him to be the misinformation police...(he should start with the Megs interview with Oprah) starting about a week ago. On Easter saturday Harry announced that he was about to take a LONG holiday.....over 6 weeks....due to the stress of his jobs

  18. we noticed. At the walk from the Church after the Christmas service, the year that the Fab Four went together, she was caught making sheep's eyes at Wills and trying to talk to him. It took him 5 mins to adjust his scarf without looking at her for her to get the message, and go away.

"We would take money from the Devil himself to do God's Work" This company is idiotic....i wish they could force the CEO to make up the difference to the charity Except for the loopholes, the Americans have the right idea....charities there are only allowed to spend 8% of donations on salaries and expenses. 92% of the donations MUST go to the beneficiaries. The problem is that they let foundations keep 95% of donations for salaries and expenses....and that's the way all the rich are going. It's a rich man's tax dodge.

  22. oh yikes!! In Canada, we have Amber Alerts....the phone makes a racket when children go missing. The problem is that the Alert goes off hours after the child has been found and almost always in the middle of the night. 3 AM seems to be the preferred time. Ppl who actually work, are not happy.

  23. in Canada, a friend's dad got elected to Federal Parliament by his riding. He and his wife went to Ottawa for orientation. My friend got a call from his mum...."never mind the salary!!" she gasped (this was in the '80's....they were getting $96,000 a year) "you should see the PERKS we get!!!" Suspect the UK isn't far off that....

  27. rumour is that Harry and Megs clapback to the Queen re service PUT Philip in the hospital. They found the other problems while he was there. They had to re record the interview after they lost their patronages. If you watch Megs' shoulder with the white on it, sometimes there are white flowers behind it, sometimes there's not.

  28. Rock didn't know that Jada had alopecia...it was the mildest of a bunch of the jokes on the Smiths that night. I still think Will was doing a publicity stunt....he was laughing for awhile, then suddenly "snapped" Ppl with a marriage who is THAT open don't hit ppl to defend his wife's "honour" Smith needs to be punished to teach kids not to hit others and drop a few f bombs at a posh event.

  29. "Leaders" i've forgotten what the other part of the title was. H&M bought it and voice overed it. Invictus is in trouble because all the frames had Megs in it.....Netflix said "more soldiers, less Megs" When they went back over the footage they had, they DIDN'T have much film without Megs....not enough for a whole show.

  34. The media has said that Harry got a standing ovation. It was a STANDING concert...there WERE no chairs. The speech was virtually identical to every other Harry speech..thank the health worker, compassion, give vaccines to poor countries, kindness, thanks to the Health workers.

  37. in a Trudeau the cartoonist's cartoon, one pointed out that the UN wears baby blue helmets....the person thought that may be part of the problem. The Canadian soldiers in the UN were in Bosnia, and many came back with PTSD. From doing nothing as Bosnian girls were being raped to death outside their HQ's. They couldn't do anything without phoning UN HQ's and the UN HQ closed at 5...they could never get anyone on the phone. so they just let the Bosnians die.

Eventually the A&E ppl will raise a ruckus with the physicians' overseers and they;'ll put their foot down. ps we were ALWAYS taught that you canNOT diagnose over the phone....we can be charged with MALPRACTICE.. The client ALWAYS forgets something important, or doesn't know WHAT is important. And i'm a VETERINARIAN.

  45. in Chicago, the CDC said that opening schools is perfectly safe. Teachers swore they would go back to work if they could jump the line and get vaccinated. They were all vaccinated. And then they all refused to go back to work. (why work when you can sit at home on full pay?)

  49. dunno if they're doing the same in the UK, but when they calculate inflation in the USA, they don't count FOOD or GAS for the car....they're too volatile (that means that the prices have skyrocketed.) iN cANADA they pretend that inflation isn't really happening (they DO include food there) but they're ignoring the fact that the packages are getting smaller and smaller, even though they're the same price.
