When something happens anywhere in the city they put the small intersection that it takes place at but when something happens in Scarborough they put "Scarborough" in the title and say it as many times as they can. Little baby just died under suspicious circumstances and all they provided was the building address. If you don't live anywhere near the building you wouldn't know where in the city it took place. But something (anything no matter how minor) happens in Scarborough it is Breaking News with "Scarborough" repeated as many times as they can This isn't really in a larger part of Scarborough. This is closer to Markham then it is most places in Scarborough.

  6. It is sad so many people are blaming the police for this. This criminal chose to rob a liquor store then run like a coward the wrong way down the highway. As soon as he got on that highway going the wrong way it was inevitable he would crash (don't believe it then just look up a guy in Guelph that went the wrong way down the 401 the other day with the same results---no police chasing him). The same people crying the police are at fault are the same people that would be crying the police didn't do enough if they stopped chasing the guy. Nothing makes these whiny babies happy. The criminal is completely at fault and it is pretty sick and twisted that other people seem to want to justify his behaviour and condone him murdering three people.

  13. how can they not recover overpayments? When someone that received an overpayment fills in their income taxes just deduct any overpayments from any income tax refunds. If a person owes more on their income tax forms just add the overpayment to the total and collect more. If they can collect income tax they can easily collect the overpayment.

  21. Why do they always say "Scarborough" when something happens in Scarborough implying that all of Scarborough is some kind of violent place with crime happening all the time. But when something happens in any other part of the city they only give a tiny intersection that you would never know where it is unless you lived directly in that area? And why do they prioritize anything that happens in Scarborough as the top story? Example there was a stabbing in Scarborough that the person survived and on most days wouldn't even make it into the news. On the same day two people were shot and killed in one incident and another person was shot and killed in a different incident in another part of the city but the stabbing in Scarborough was headline news with the word "Scarborough" repeated over and over. Meanwhile the shootings were barely mentioned and when they were only a tiny intersection was mentioned. Also When things happen anywhere east of downtown they also say "The east end" implying Scarborough. Why don't they ever say "East York" or the neighbourhood it is in instead of "the east end". Scarborough is the east end of Toronto not anything east of downtown. CP24- you need to represent the city better. Scarborough is a large area just a large as any other part of the city and it is not all one large violent place. It is just as safe as anywhere else in the city. It has the same amount of crime (or less) then any other part of the city.

When something happens anywhere else in the city they only say the small intersection where it took place. You have to live in the immediate area to know where it is. Why can't CP24 say any other part of Toronto? Why are they not capable of saying "York" or "East York" or "North York" (they will sometimes say Etobicoke but not as often as Scarborough). If you going to say the borough when it is Scarborough then say the borough for all other areas of the city. Report it all the same or stop saying Scarborough. Scarborough is the largest borough and the safest one to live in. Your reporting is biased BS to try to make Scarborough look bad.

An incident took place this morning near Morningside and Military Trail and CP24 had to put "Scarborough" in the title of the video and repeat it as many times as they could. But when an incident like this took place all they report is "on the Gardener Expressway".....where on the Gardner? Why didn't you say something like "downtown Toronto on the Gardiner" or "on the Gardiner in Etobicoke" etc.

Now when they have to do what they are paid to do....insure a car....it is "too expensive" and they are hiking rates. Just another excuse to take more money out of your pocket.   40. The Constitution already has a clear division of powers. It clearly outlines what belongs to provincial govt and what belongs to federal govt. And when provincial laws conflict with federal laws the Constitution clearly states federal law takes precedent and over rides provincial law Funny Alberta wants the feds to follow the Constitution and wants them out of provincial areas but will ignore the parts of the Constitution they don't agree with But fine...if they want that independence and want to make full provincial decisions then immediately cut off the $68 billion a year the feds send them If you want to make your own decisions great...then fund them yourself. Why should the rest of Canada be forced to fund decisions if you won't let them have input on how that money is spent. Can't ask for money or fed input when it is taking money but reject fed input when it involves decision making. You can't have your cake and eat it too.
