Just the body count alone is higher than any religious led blood shed, you might be thinking of, combined. I happen to know because I did the math. The bloodiest it ever got, arguably, was the crusades and historians are not 100% sure how many died but typically depending on who you ask it's going to be anywhere between 2-5 million people the cultural revolution in China by comparison is estimated between 200,000 to 20 million people. And the great leap forward was even bloodier that was between 15 and 50 million. See the difference? The crusades was a series of conflicts that lasted almost a century and a half and Chinese communist party under Mao Tsedung out did that one war within 20 years of it's own existence by more than 10 times that number. Care to restate that clearly BS statement?

This goes back to the differences between unity and assimilation. The Bible favors unity because according to scripture a person's very being is sacred that's why God grants us free agency and will not violate that sacredness. Where true religion plays a role is that it gives direction and shows us what we do with it. That's why I say true religion because if you pay close attention then you should be putting religion on par with law. Religion teaches how one lives with humanity and law commands us to live with humanity. So in all actuality you have it backwards. You seem to think one learns to live by worshipping himself when law shows us nothing is further from the truth. If this were not true then prisons would not be filled with the selfish, the arrogant, and the narcissist, and fact if the matter is these are the most likely to commit crimes because they chose their own way.

  12. For anyone wanting to use the Christianity is a White European religion argument this one's for you. Ok, first of according to both history and the Bible where was Jesus born? Doesn't it say Bethlehem? And where is Bethlehem isn't it in the Roman Province of Palestine? And where is Palestine isn't that in the Middle East? I guess that doesn't make it white European religion now does it? In fact wouldn't that make it an Asian religion adopted by Europeans? Look up the Greek word for East before saying no you will be surprised what it translates as. Did you translate it, yet? Mind-blowing isn't it? So here is your whole problem and where you went wrong. It comes right down to historical facts and actual biblical writing. So we got the obvious out of the way now the less obvious Christianity wasn't adopted into Europe, starting with Rome until the 3rd century under Constantine the 1st and even then it wasn't entirely and whole heartedly accepted. Among it's chief opponents were the Germanic and Celtic tribes who followed variations of polytheism much later in 800 the Vikings were next to make their stand against Christianity. Now I can go on about the wars this triggered but the punch line is calling the religion a white European religion is like calling communism a Chinese Philosophy. Just as communism was never a Chinese invention Christianity was never a white European religion. In fact it was one of the first religions that actually wanted to be non ethnocentric.

If you work hard you get a lot if you choose to be lazy or you work but with no effort to excell then you get little. Communism maybe on paper is a distribution of wealth but in reality it's the opposite. The way Communism works is that the party reaps the rewards and the people, which looks like wealth distribution but isn't, gets the leftovers. Haven't you ever thought it odd that if it really was a distribution of wealth then why is it it's typically the party members who live like kings while the people of those same systems live in rundown buildings? But even if we laid that aside Communism is still a western ideology and not Chinese which i find hypocritical. In fact it was a Chinese philosophy, confucionism, that promoted Christianity and it was Buddhism, an Indian religion, which first began persecuting Christianity.

And if you think Jesus was part of some dominant class you might want to look up some facts about Nazareth because there is a reason why Nathaniel the Canaanite asked the question, "Does anything good come from Nazareth?" John 1:46. Nazareth was in fact a backwater in the tail end of nowhere, and even his fellow Galileens, the region Nazareth was in, kept their distance from. Kinda like today in the US where unless you are from the deep south or you have family there no one really goes to. No offense to any readers who are southern just making a comparison. I don't know what the Chinese equivalent for such towns would be in China but if the image strikes a chord well there you go that would be Nazareth.

All of these are people highly revered by Christians so as you can see who came before Christ is irrelevant since Christian teaching is both from the new testament as well as the old testament and in the old we learn that God is a God of justice. A God that stands up for the oppressed and crushes the wicked and whose laws govern both the just and unjust.

What does this have to do with religion, or Christianity for that matter? Easy exodus 20:12 honor your father and mother. In fact the 10 commandments even Exodus through Deuteronomy establishes healthy relationship between people, society, family, law, and authority. So if religion is in constant conflict with authority then what's this doing in the Bible? Let me propose an alternative it's the opposite that's true in the case of China. It's authority creating conflict with religion? Why? What's the motive? Because Christianity is not a religion the CCP can control and it has this really bad habit, I suppose you can say, of creating perfectly content people who are arguably more moral due to a diety that is beyond the party's sphere of influence. Just take a look at truths that are impossible to deny like the sun being Yellow, obviously I am not talking philosophical ideas i am talking about ideas, things and places we have no choice but to accept. This is because Christianity is based in history and the Bible teaches us to test truth even to test religious leaders and their interpretations. So it's quite blatant that to the Christian just something being called good isn't good enough. This too goes back to the differences between unity and assimilation, a religion that seeks unity is more inclined to seek truth not a subjective truth but an objective truth. Assimilation however seeks to make everyone agree to it even if it's blatantly wrong. Hence, why you don't see too many violent groups associated with Christianity. Marxism and Islam however, no matter how peaceful they try to be, it has violent groups are all over the place or policies that go after anyone that will not be controlled by the state.

Except besides internet I do have firsthand knowledge of China. Making your assertion even if accurate still false. What makes it false is you do not take into account the fact the evidence comes in 2 forms. These are direct, which are eyewitness statements, and indirect which is everything else. I had learned of many of China's illicit and even illegal activities through coworkers who escaped China's persecutions i have also learned of China's illegal dealings throughout Asia in illegal trades such as human trafficking and organ harvesting. Yes, i am aware of these dealings. I learned about them through both direct and indirect evidence. This just further proves your statement is false. This has always been the reason the moral argument never amounted to much of a damning argument because you are essentially calling upon a moral standard to attack itself. It violates what in logic is called the Law of Noncontradiction, which can best be explained as you can't use standards to attack themselves because it negates the argument. Now you can try to attack the argument of compromises for free will in order to maintain a moral argument except you run into an entirely different problem, an entire science in fact, called Criminology because Criminology studies the relationship between free will societies and legal systems and many criminologists including 14th Century Criminologist Cesare Beccaria concluded that for a people to truly exercise any degree of free will there has to be a compromise between the law abiding, those who are for love and mercy, and the law breaking, those for misery, torment and suffering. In other words, a compromise for free will isn't at all an absurd argument because if you live in a free society then the proof of its truthfulness is everywhere and at every level of whatever Criminal Justice system you are under. Thus, proving the point that if it is an absurd argument then why are these free societies choosing to legislate as if it was the best way to run a society? Now you may hate that as a counter argument but it is a valid point and the fact that it is true you see the proof of it in every free society just makes it that much more valid.

If that much was true Slave owners would not be threatened by the full version of the Bible. In fact it shows that these scriptures did in fact challenge slavory as an accepted practice because they were frequently used by the Christian Abolitionist movement by members and important figures such as William Wilberforce, and Frederick Douglas. So Don't even bother going there.

I can even tell you that I have noticed similar persecutions in Burma, Laos, even Thailand to a degree. I hear that recently it's lightening up in Vietnam but given the fact I have not been there I can't tell you which side is true in regards to that particular country.

  47. General George Washington once stated that what separates the Christian from all other peoples is that he would rather die on his feet then live on his knees. In case you are thinking it's because we fight or make wars or whatever the counter argument may be, no, it's actually because we know heaven awaits us when we die. If someone handed you a fully paid ticket to Hawaii, or whatever your dream vacation is or the place you want to retire to or whatever just the place you feel the happiest, with hotel and everything do you honestly think threats and intimidation, or actual violence is going to bother you? Thats just a place on Earth now imagine the promise of heaven. The Bible repeatedly teaches us to not be afraid. If persecuted pray for our persecutors and if we are put on trial use it as an opportunity to preach God's true message but when it comes to death do not fear. That's what George Washington is really describing about Christians. You can intimidate us, you can threaten us, you can even kill us, but we have nothing to be afraid of because we know where we will be. If you want to correct that with belief, fine makes no difference to me that's still our attitude. Doesn't it ever strike you as odd that Christian history is filled with martyrs so willing to go to their deaths for their beliefs? And I don't mean in battle although that has happened too, I mean being executed for their beliefs.

Except, and I am assuming you are Chinese correct me if I am wrong, didn't your ancestors for the longest time worship an all powerful God named Shang-ti and to some degree there are still worshippers of this diety? And wasn't this belief originally monotheistic? Here is my point how do you know that what your ancestors worshipped isn't the same God worshipped by Christians? Keep in mind the God of Christianity created the world and the universe, the Prime Mover to use the language of Aristotle? I think even if you were to say no, and you are entitled to that opinion, you couldn't guarantee with any degree of certainty that it isn't true.
