@MrDwright550 All they did was tell him he had to move to a standard Natwest bank account. He no longer qualified for the account he had so they offered him another one. Whats wrong with that? If the bank had done anything worn Farage would be suing them, he has past for for doing so. If Farage is telling the truth he has a very good case against them and the potential for a decent payout and a public apology. Lets see him put his money where his mouth is, then I'll believe him

Funny how the accusations against her went quiet isn't it? Almost as if there's nothing in it
2
Useless waste of space would be a huge improvement over the current lot. For me, the fact that they've spent the last 14 years making themselves and their mates considerably richer from our money and have sold off our public services (we owned them) with no benefit to us means they have to go no matter what other wise it's like staying with an abusive partner just because there might be someone worse out there
2
@michaelsrowland What have the tories made better in the last 14 years? Name one thing which is better now than it was under Labour
2
The regulation which ensures everyone has a right to a bank account already exists BUT it's an EU regulation so it's one of the EU regulations that Farage want's scrapped. A touch ironic
2
There's no point rushing. Labour have such a big majority that the tories can't effectively oppose anything
2
The tories seem to be determined to become the Reform Party. The problem with that is we've already got a party who are REALLY good at being Reform so the tories can only be a Reform tribute act and no one wants that. They need to offer something different. At the moment, no one is offering conservative economics without the culture war nonsense. Thats where there tories should be. Culture wars only benefit Reform, it's what got Reform where they are and it didn't benefit the tories at all
1
Why would an islamic party be supporting pro lgbt & trans policies? Doesn't really add up does it?
1
It generates money in tourism and tv broadcast rights.
1
She's not standing in the next election
1
The PM is the man at the top. If he didn't have the right advisors then it's up to him to make sure they are replaced. Even then, advisors only advise. The actual decision is made by the PM. Since the leader of the opposition was pressuring for earlier and shorter lockdowns, that suggests that another PM could quite likely have done things differently.
1
Depends whether they turn up to parliament. Reforms MPs have the lowest average attendance of any party.
1
I wonder how many of the British Trump supporters have seen Trump's latest economic proposal, a universal 10% import tarrifs on all imported goods. That will include the UK so is potentially very bad for us since we were relying on Trump giving the UK free trade. He's effectively said he will screw us if he gets in to power
1
He's backed himself in to a corner here. Farage will have to sue Coutts or face his supporters forever asking why he didn't. If he's telling the truth, then he has a solid case against them
1
Labour MP's all either abstained or voted against this bill. The tories had an 80 seat majority, they didn't need anyone elses help to pass it
1
@notjustforhackers4252 No, none of the Labour MP's voted for it. Even quite a few tory MP's voted against it which is why it took three attempts to get it through
1
Yeah but they've written their pledges on the side of a bus......
1
He can't have one if he doesn't exist
1
Cutting immigration? It's going up. I thought immigrants were all on the dole according to tories, they can't be on the dole and stealing jobs
1
@@garethhenshaw The polls suggest that Labour are on for a huge win. There's currently no other effective opposition. Lib dems will never be forgiven for being Camerons bitch Greens only have a couple policies other than the environment Reform still haven't published a single policy and only seem interested in migration. They also seemed to support Truss's budget which crashed the economy
1
Labour have been in power for three months after fourteen years of tory leadership. Who do you think created this mess? Who decided to close the Calais asylum center and start the boat crossing problem? Who then decided to just leave them in hotels and not process them? The problem is not Labour, not yet anyway
1
Andrew Tate has never been right
1
Farage has past form for this in UKIP and Brexit party, He's booted out popular member who were building power and reported them to police for violence or abuse of some kind. Farage has always been a slime ball
1
Why do people talk about "the muslim vote"? Generally, muslims don't vote. They have a really low voter turn out, mostly because no one represents them. Labour are too liberal, tories and reform are anti immigrant and lib dems are asleep
1
I's a major tourist attraction for the city. It makes a profit. If you want to see a waste of money in London, take a look at Boris's £1.5bn garden bridge to nowhere
1
If Biden has any balls, he'll start the process to scrap the presidential pardon but do it so that he also doesn't have it, that way he's avoids any accusations of hypocrisy. It shouldn't exist anyway. The US booted out the British monarch but for some reason kept the royal pardon. It shouldn't happen, no one should be beyond the law and I don't care whether they're republican, democrat, nazi, communist or f*****g jedi. Anyone who breaks the law should be punished
1
Jenrick's strategy is all wrong and will never win an election. Why make reform voters the big target when you lost a far greater number of seats to Lib Dems? It's a stupid strategy which cannot work unless we have electoral reform first
1
There's absolutely no evidence for your theory. These were people living in poverty so an old, second hand, faulty appliance doesn't seem unlikely at all
1
It's a prime ministers job to meet other world leader and attend global summits, that's how relationships are built and trade agreements made. MP's on the other hand are employed to serve their constituencies. If Farage is too busy to hold surgeries in his constituency then he shouldn't have taken the job. When you are paid to do a job, you do it whether you like it or not
1
Not a single mention of the cost of living crisis or inflation. Just vague promises for "change"
1
Thoughts and prayers for the gingers
1
How much was spent by tourists and Londoners out for the celebration?
1
It already exists. It's just different police forces supplying officers to each other
1
@johnfisher7587 Do you disagree with free speech? Ask yourself this, if there was a protest for something you believe in and someone, say Donald Trump decided to speak at that protest, would you disapprove? Did you disapprove of Nigel Farage speaking at anti Biden events in the US? I will never argue against anyone protesting anything whether I agree with them or not because in doing so I am arguing against my own right to protest
1
Lighter touch but they closed their borders and reacted faster rather than waiting to respond to rising cases
1
And how much did your house cost relative to your salary? I bought for the first time in the early 90'swhen rates were approaching 10% and a 2 bedroom house cost me the equivalent of 3 years wages and I was only a welder, not a stock broker. Now a person working in that same job would need to spend around 9 times their annual pay to buy the same house

Asbestos is only harmful when disturbed
1
Starmer is personally quite unpopular but the Labour party itself is currently very popular, especially with the under's age groups.
1
That's easy to tell. Was it written using the blood of Putins political opponents or crayon?
1
I personally can't wait to "go back to square one". I can't believe he was promoting Labour as a way out of the tory mess
1
@keithsaville6091 Is it selfish to punish the PM who has let the country down?
1
A man of the people like Farage can't use the same banking service as normal people
1
I'm in the center. I like some things he's doing and I dislike some things. Pretty average really. The only reason I can see that the right wing media is losing their minds is that their side isn't in power
1
I'd much rather Corby but the choice we have is Starmer or Sunak and to me it seems that Starmer is by far the less bad of the two
1
I think that Reform have tied themselves too close to the Trump government. We'll be effectively ruled by Trump and Musk if we vote for Reform and that's a very bad thing
1
You know Farage has dual citizenship with Germany?
1
That would depend on the price
1
Those at the top don't need to be experts in anything other than management BUT they do need to have experts heading up technical departments. I work in a company which employs civil and mechanical engineers as well as scientists, architects as well as accountants and sales people etc. No single CEO can be an expert in all of those fields which is why they put experts at the head of each department and take their advice and under UK law, they are legally responsible if they don't take that advice. If they suddenly decide we can make foundation piles from plasticine and overrule everyone else then the CEO goes to prison when it fails and kills people
1
Do you not think councils are short of money because they no longer have rental income? That used to be their biggest source of money and now it's all but gone
1
@MrDwright550 Farage had been offered a standard Natwest account so it's not like they were leaving him without an account. There is actually a regulation which guarantees every adult the right to a bank account, ironically, it's one of the retained EU regulations which Farage is campaigning to have scrapped. Maybe he should reconsider his calls to scrap all EU regulations without a case by case review
