  2. Yes he's a sell out but I think he realised that he has to win over the middle ground voters to win an election. Staying to the right of the tories and putting everything in to being anti immigration will limit potential voters. They need those tory voters who moved to liberal democrats (they exist, lib dems made big gains last election)

  6. It was the media who decided on Huw Edwards and I seem to remember it was the Express, Sun, GB News, Talk TV etc who were all over that story but now it's one of their own it's all "innocent until proven guilty"

  7. British steel has been propped up by the tax payer for decades. They have only been making a very limited range of grades and sections for a very long time now, you couldn't build ships with what they make. To make steel we have to rely on imported coke and imported iron ore, manganese, silicon, phospherous and nickel. Jobs were lost but they need to be replaced with jobs which don't require billions per year from the tax payer

  8. The illegal migration bill is pointless. It's been proven it won't work and it'll be defeated the first time it's challenged in the courts. Labours plan to re-open the Calais asylum office makes far more sense. With that re-opened we don't have to accommodate anyone, there's no point crossing the channel and no one steps foot in the UK unless already accepted. It's the system we used to have, it was far more effective than anything since and Boris was an idiot to close it. He was warned it would lead to exactly this situation
