  1. The number 1 problem is buying a house with mortgage. Mortgage breaks family. When the man loses the job, the wife always believe it is the man's job to pay off the mortgage. Imagine there wasnt any mortage, there will be no finanical pressure to pay the mortgage with interest. It is a HUGE burden by having mortgage. If one can not pay 80% of the down payment for a property, the risk is very high. Why play such high risk game. Pay 80% down, and mortgage 20% is doable. Not pay 20% down and mortgage 80%. Those that have huge mortgage are gambling their future, especially family with kids and wife.

  2. This is what happens when Chinese hold on to their old traditions, wanting males as children. But when they grow up to become adults, they have so much pressure, job, buying a house or car, etc. Having a daughter, she doesnt need to worry about owning a house, it would be optional. But for me, it is a nearly 100% "a must have."

  3. I do respect these women; getting higher education, working and etc. THese are great accomplishment. But, do men really want these qualities in China? Even a CEO for a big company, wants a young wife. Even a well off financially stable man of 30+ yrs old, wants a young wife of less than 25. These career women choose the path of being independent, earning money and spending their money how ever they pleased. Why not continue on that path. Continue on that career path. If she is lonely, how about adopting a dog? Men don't want these successful and mature woman. If ptes aren't your perferrence, you can adopt a child from anywhere in the world, especially African countries or other poor nations. You can save a life, give your adopted son/daughter the best life you can give. And now they are complaining that successful and well off men dont' want them. Well, ya. Chinese men has choices too. They want young and beautiful, non career women, the less education the better. To those independent Chinese women, I congradulate you for your success. You acheive equal right and equal opporunities, the same as a man. But don't complain why successful men don't want to date or marry you. Continue on your path of being a career women.

If one can find a higher salary, and the company/boss is willing to pay higher, than that is what the company/boss think your worth. But if not, then, keep looking. She fresh, not much life experience and therefore, should have less strong opinions compared to the 33 yr old mature women. A 25 yr old should be more obedient and easy to influence, therefore, less chance of divorce. A 33 yr old with more life experience and strong opinions can lead to more arguements. That is why a mature man wants a wife (the younger the better), easy to manage and controlled. The auntie should relax the economic requirement. Not age. It makes no sense. The 33 yr old daughter value has decreased. In a few yrs, she can't bear children for the man.

Do they need degrees to deliver, drive, clean tables at restuarant? Those working in the service industry with any degree might have a higher chance to get a little more pay, and higher change to be hired. But as employers, do they need their degrees to do their job? If a HS gradulate can work at a resturant by cleaning tables, take orders, and has working exprience, it would make sense for the employer to hiring a HS graduate with real working experience and pay them less. Why would the employer pay more with someone with a paper, when he/she can do the same job? If that HS gradulate is a capable worker and can add value to the restaurant staff, he/she deserve higher salary over time. Having a degree over the life time, still yield higher salary. But with current China's economy, many with masters can't secure the job that they study. What do you say about that? China's economy may not recover from this. Look at the Evergrande and housing policies. Together, they made the perfect storm. Housing bubble burst. Unfinished housing construction, too many university graduates, all factors are related.

Chinese men can show respect by taking care of their daughter. Show daughter respect and love is like showing her parents love and respect. Furthemore, a man buying a house shows respect. It shows that he has the financial means to raise a family with the daughter. So, l don't agree. It is buying a wife. If the daughter's parents say, "I spend money on her education." Man: I didn't ask her to have a high education. Her education won't be useful when she becomes a mother and taking care of the household. Her primary job are: raising children, keep the house in order, educating the children, cook and clean, help with the elderly.
