I once though Chinese people are great at saving money and don't beleive in mortgages. BUt they were brained wash by the western, by their peers in that: everyone should have a car everyone should own a house everyone can live happily with 1 income in the family etc They were following those that have the ability and resources to buy. They were too confident that by taking out 20-30 yr loans, that they are able to pay it off, easily. I thought Chinese ppl are wizards at Math with their finances. It seems that we judge them wrong. Chinese people are short sighted. They see other buys house and car, they follow suit. They see other borrow money, they follow suit. They want what others have, and confidently borrow money, even with a low interest. They believe the housing price will NEVER fall. They have no back up plans or save for raining days. When they fall, they fall hard. When they fall, they cry and become losers of the society.

  26.  @shadowmod3  International school is for the rich, costing upwards of 80-200,00+ a year. A family combine income of 10k (without any mortgages on house/car payments) is difficult. Parents with international kids knows they don't want to go to the Chinese system, due to BIG classes, and weak English systems. It can be true that it is useless, but those parents who have the funds want their kid to have a western education system, as their goal is to go aboard for school. It is mostly buying experience. Once their kid has a foreign degree, they can brag to their friends, who make less than them and/or their kid will take over the family business.

  28. That is why, during interview, l ask: can l meet the leader of the team, before l even accept the offer being offered. If it is a man, l'll accept. If it is a women, l would like to chat with her, before accepting. For example, in all my teaching position, there was one TC l quit (started looking for a new job after TWO months) because it was ran by CHINESE women. I was not happy how she manage the foreign teachers, thinking she and them are better than us. Without us foreign teacher, there will be no TC/business. The center only had business bc of foreigners. So, basically, we are the ones earning the money for THEM. They only had the physical building, a brand and resources. What good are these things, if there was no foreigner teachers to teach their client. I too, can get resource, build a brand and get a building (rent). So the TC has no value. The only value was us foreigners. We were the ones servicing the students. Their job was to get them in! I can do that as well. All other jobs l had, l had finished the contract and renewed bc they were ran by foreign females or males (chinese and foreigners). My point is: I do not want to by lead by a Chinese women leader in the dept or company!!!

  33. I still don't understand how these "recent" graduates, have such high demands. As a employer, if you want 8k, l want to see your past work experience, during ur uni yrs. I want to see volutunteer work experience or intership, paid or not paid. I don't want you to brag or talk about what classes you took, how you write your essay, projects, etc. I want to hear your work experience, skills you obtained, how you problem solved that is not textbook. If you can answer all these questions well and have worked during university during time off like summer and winter and etc, yes, lll give you the 8k rmb because I see the value you bring. But these b**** has no value, only a useless piece of paper, a peice of shit and want 8k. They are lucky to get 4k and maybe 8k after 3-4 yrs of work experience based on performance. They demand and demand, believing they are so valuable. As a employer, lm looking for the cheapest labor, if you only have a sh***y paper from university.

  48. Raising children in CHina in 1st tier city is too expensive. Not only cost, and time. Once a child is born, both the couple is anchored for the next 5-8 yrs. Couples can't do the things they want to do. Energy and time and cost is spend on raising the child. Only rich people who can afford full time aiyi and tutors can afford to have many chidren. Then, when the child becomes an adult, he/she will feel alot of pressure from society; school and job and etc. A couple with a boy child, parents have to start saving up for a house. WIthout a house, chances of marriage is low.
