  11. National introduced the brightside test. It is good to hear this MP acknowledged action by labour slowed the house market at the upper level. Recall in 1973, labour introduced the property speculation tax. It slowed things, but National removed it in 1975.

  14. I just watched a speech by Mr Luxon. In his speech during Indian trade mission. He said we need to make more wealth. I thought generally there has been a continued movement of wealth a group within NZ.

  24. I just read an Otago Daily Times article about Health NZ and its IT upgrades. It tells a story of the current government putting things on hold . It points out how putting on hold has reduced productivity gains. Money was allocated by Labour to do this work, but three party government stopped the work. Cabinet need to own up to the effects of the choices it makes.

  27. See, he avoids answering the tax evasion . Recall Act issued an alternative budget. Serious Fruad office and IRD have money budget to look for evasion and avoidance. So Act must have included money for the serious fraud office and IRDs output for tax evasion. The MP for Epsom again did have information! He could not even say yes we should spend the same on tax evasion and avoidance with IRD and Serious Fruad.

  29. If the new duties and taxes fall short of expectations and the fact will stop other taxes ( designed save for Auckland's spending needs ( recall National stopped the Auckland Habour bridge toll, it would have funded so must since 1979) ) . It clearly they will borrow!

  30. Housing and shortage of accommodation. State houses were introduced a long time ago to help bridge the shortfall. In the period 1993 to 2000 the number of state houses decreased from 69,000 to 59,000. In the period 2009 to 2017, state housing decreased by 2,000 again. Nationals track record. Labour added 5,000 during 2000 to 2009. Also Labour added 12,000 during 2017 to 2023. If National had not reduced the number of state houses, we would have 12,000 more homes now. If they had constructed half the 17,000 built by Labour. Their would be close to 20,000 more homes. This shows a difference between Labour and National/Act.

  31. I read a story about a person who was convicted of failing to forward $500,000 to IRD , employees money. They got communitee service. This is a serious offense. No mention this crime?

  32. The period 1950 to 1984 National was the government for 28 years . But they did not build a rail network from Orewa to City, Howick to the city , Avondale to Airport (via Onehunga,Mangere bridge .... Airport then on to Papatoetoe).

Budget services are an extension the Social Welfare services. A government that speaks with many WORDS but often does not follow its narrative.

  50. The State Housing manager stated that they have progressed well over the last year in getting planning permission. So the rate construction is increasing now compared before.
