West Africans are one of the few peoples to never have travelled anywhere, especially across a large ocean. The only time they ever reached the Americas, was in the hold of a European ship. As for your DNA results, they are meaningless. They are just approximations as to where some of your ancestors may have come from, possibly thousands of years ago. Also, why is your non-European heritage less important than your African. Is that because the European part, isn't asking for a handout? Are you also part of the "one drop" club. Does somebody with 1% West African DNA, get the same handout as somebody with 100%?
