  16. This is far more complicated than anyone can understand (over stand?) unless they know very well the laws and the lawmakers that the police agencies are sworn to "serve and protect." It actually goes to the "Supreme" Court and the judges and "people" that decide guilt/innocence from there. Many officers join the academy believing things that they soon unlearn, others still remain ignorant of their true power structure for years if not entire careers. It's even as serious as being able to compare them to a much larger policing force like an army. Who do you take orders from? What Who do they take orders from? Who ultimately gives the orders and who is the highest judge? That's the big one. Who is the ultimate authority? Answer that for your particular scenario and therein lies the answer to your question.  In current times, corruption and greed seem to be more in charge than justice and equality. A Supreme court judge who worked for Monsanto? Hmm? Why did he leave? Is he just? If you want to know the answer you must first ask the correct question. Are cops good or bad is a start, but not quite the ticket. Just my two cents... this shit goes deeper than I care to dive on a public forum.

TheWimmse you might be right...but she's from Switzerland so might have the courage to ask more hard hitting questions like: "Don't you think that able-bodied men from your country should actually stay and fight like countless other nations have done in the face of war? And if not, why not?" or maybe "Out of all the refugees, how many are actually genuinely seeking asylum rather than the potential financial benefits and increased standard of living that most of the countries have had to fight very hard for?"

All I got out of this was that she had an opportunity to move up the ladder and clearly failed at feeding the intelligent viewers the bullshit that the now irrelevant Vice News instructed her to spoon feed us. This wasn't a show, it was an interview, and although she is attractive enough to warrant an opportunity to sell out to, she was not convincing enough as a paid shill pretending to take Vice' stance so she will be returned to her cubicle and replaced by another hipster who can lie more convincingly. Positive note: We Are already solving these issues together all around the world, partly by taking our power back from the supposed power structures including the media.
