But it's subliminal. It plants memes in our mind, like seeds that feed on BS and propaganda. Both the US election and the UK Brexit referendum were very close votes. Only a percentage of people need to be influenced to alter the outcome. What if it's true? What if the democratic process in both countries has been manipulated? Surely it should at least be investigated. And the only reason for saying no is if you have a vested interest or your brain has been frazzled.

Oh by the way, I just saw that the investigation into Cambridge Analytica has intensified and a warrant about to be issued. Now it really gets interesting. I wonder if they got paid in roubles?
2
pinkie perky . The WA is an internationally recognised document. And it was made law in our own parliament. And Johnson want to change it, not cancel it.
2
pinkie perky . Look at what it says. Minister admits changes to Brexit deal would break international law. And you can't unilaterally alter an agreement. That is just obvious. The WA can torn up, but not altered.
2
@6thi874 . The government can vote to cancel the agreement. But we'd only be screwing ourselves. I can't stop it. Everything is too mad now. But don't blame the EU when Brexit goes bad.
2
And Daly.

May's replacement could well be the last ever Conservative PM. You'd have to be a mug to take that on. Grayling is my favourite.
2
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7NFfUOJwDE Go to 1:21. "Ireland has a great deal. They keep the single market and freedom of movement."
2
@jonathanhammerton9418 . They are still in the EU, as are we, so there is. The question is why Boris thinks they have a great deal because they will keep the single market and freedom of movement after Brexit. Video. 1:21.
2
@jarednovel QAnon BS!
2
@bjj9711 . You'd better go and build up some immunity. Try licking a few doorknobs.
2
@bjj9711 . Being younger and fitter is a statistical advantage. But not a guarantee. And anyone can be a spreader. Consider all those Trump fans.
2
@bjj9711 . Not all are as fortunate. And it's still naive to be flippant about a virus that has already killed so many.
2
What did Soros fund exactly?
2
@lesigh1749 . I trust my ability to evaluate reality based upon observable truth. Do you seriously believe that anything meaningful is going on? Or are you just desperate to make others believe? But just to clarify. Boris lied as a journalist. He made empty promises as the mayor of London. And lied again in the Vote Leave campaign. So he has lost all right to trust. Beyond that what does he have to offer? He needs a practical alternative to the backstop. What could that be? And if he really had anything at all he would have presented it. The obvious truth is that he's been running down the clock. But Parliament has acted to block a no deal and his options are few. The only hope no deal zealots have now is that the EU will itself block an extension. A finial absurd irony in a catalogue of craziness.
2
@lesigh1749 . The flaw in your logic is that Brexiters themselves voted against securing a deal. The problem is that the Conservative Party first set a deal red line that broke up the four freedoms, Something that the EU said all along was unacceptable. Your problem is that you are caught in a dilemma, The Brexit that was promised in 2016 bears no resemblance to Brexit reality, which is Yellowhammer and utterly negative. Even Trump recently said that the WTO was "broken" and a "rip off" Yet you'll still scream that Brexit WTO must be delivered and that "No deal is what I voted for." Do you really want Yellowhammer? Y/N If you want something else can you provide evidence that refutes Yellowhammer? Merely saying it's wrong will not do. Saying that "it's made up by remainers" won't do. Yellowhammer is the report on which the government is basing its no deal mitigation strategy. And it will now be released after Boris lost his sixth vote in a row.
2
@clairduffy60 . Perhaps it's some vile fetish. These Brexit believers are disturbing in many ways.
2
@ancietman . Clearly all the country doesn't want to remain. Neither does all the country want to leave. We all know the result in 2016, but that was based on the arguments made at the time. That we could be like Canada or Norway. That getting a deal would be easy. That they needed us more than we need them. That Fox would settle 40 trade agreements by 31st of March. In addition, Canada has refused to rollover our exiting arrangements and GATT has been refuted by the WTO itself. So what is actually left? What are we going to get out if Brexit?
2
@garrybastow1930 . "Small minority" ??? If it's so small why not have a final say referendum? It's probably the only way you'll get the nightmare Brexit you're desperate for. What happens if parliament thwarts the undemocratic proroguing scheme? Brexit will be buggered.
2
@blackphilip8936 . Why are you using an American style insult? You from Alabama? You certainly aren't black.
2
Even the Tory detective in charge of the investigation?
2
Hope he loses everywhere.
2
@sumawidana234 .Rallies are dumb in the midst of a pandemic. Biden is responsible and doesn't have them, where Trump is utterly irresponsible.
2
@SX_Tifosi16 , Surrey had a referendum last week and Labour won with a 52% majority. So Free World is the appointed voter for the whole county. Makes about as much sense as anything else in the last three years.
2
@Russian Troll so Im told. A union of sovereign member states. Regime?
2
@Russian Troll so Im told. Do you mean like our own government's Universal Credit or Blair's decision to join the invasion of Iraq? Do you mean like Dominic Cummings determining Brexit strategy without being elected? Do you mean like Mark Carney having control over interest rates? Governments and councils are elected. They then make decisions and appoint agents without consultation.
2
@Russian Troll so Im told. No, we can't "sack" the government. Neither can we sack Mark Carney or permanent secretaries. Those appointed by the EU or our own government can be replaced though. Ursula von der Leyen, OUR new EU president was elected in by the way. Not directly by us, but by MEPs. Boris Johnson was elected as OUR new PM. Again not by us but by members of the Conservative Party. At least Ms von der Leyen's selection wasn't influenced by children.
2
@Russian Troll so Im told. You have a peculiar definition of sacking. Do employees get a set 5 year period? Can I only get kicked out if all my colleagues take a vote? (I'm retired though) You seriously need some better arguments. Bit hard when something like Brexit is so based on feelings rather than facts.
2
I wasn't before and I still won't.
2
This outcome was certainly predictable. But only because it was a blatant smear campaign.
2
@googlebarbaralernerspectre2581 . Who are you trying to convince? us or yourself? What a load of.
2
Ben Chorley . I hope you're right Ben but Brexiters are still surfing a wave of bullshit and having fun. Reality is still coming though, and all waves crash. Boris will inevitably be faced with the choice of killing Brexit or running us off the cliff. There will be consequences either way, and both will be very bad for the Conservative Party. Let's just hope that Boris doesn't do a Nero on us all.
2
Oke Micco . Wow, you really are triggered. Has something upset you, like reality maybe? Biden closer by the minute. Trump is finished.
2
@jasondevon481 . How are lies about Turkey and Facebook manipulation in any way democratic? How is illegally closing parliament democratic?
2
@wasatrumpvoter7929 . I still think it's you Gasping.
2
@wasatrumpvoter7929 . Don't forget the warning that you cannot serve two masters. Clear your mind and have a think. Do the Republicans serve God or mammon?
2
It's crass and robs society of diversity.
2
Unlikely. Not many will fall for the Tory spin this time round. And no amount of propaganda can disguise the scandals and the smell of sewage.
2
And the nation stands in silent reverence.... Or perhaps not.
2
So find us another forecast to balance the view. What have the ERG come up with as proof that a no-deal will be beneficial? NONE!
2
@TheDailyGroov . You are trying to argue that Mark Carney doesn't know what he's doing. That the CBI haven't a clue. That the institute of Directors are just guessing. That the IMF are fools. So tell me Groove, where does your insight come from? I hope it's more than just blind optimism.
2
@martynfenton4862 . So do we ignore all expert advice? If a mechanic tells me my brakes are unsafe do I just dismiss his opinion because I don't want to use my credit card this month? Turn it on its head. The ERG must prove that a no-deal is practical and productive. Where's their expert advice?
2
Can you PROVE that "Foreign money from Geoger Soros, Goldman Sachs, J P Morgan." was funelled to the Remain campaign? And who are the "others"?
2
For remain all I got was Lord Sainsbury. Can you prove that Soros funded anything? Or is this just somethong you believe?
2
Oh just saw this. I'll have a read. But I've studied this business quite a bit now and the Leave camp were definitely the wonkiest. We're almost at the wire anyway and we'll all know the truth before too long. Unless May hangs it out even more of course. She may even cancel the whole thing. LOL.
2
Starmer said that Rayner had done nothing wrong from the start of this nonsense.
2
Right. And we should respond by never buying another Dyson. I'm off to buy a Henry.
2
I wonder why your comment has attracted such attention? So many trolls and Brexit zealots active tonight. I wonder if they're getting double pay to spam for Boris? Many of the paragraph structures seem oddly disjointed to me. Robotic even. Odd that.
2
Gun laws in America are bonkers. You'd think that "Are you a Nazi?" would be on the checklist.
1
Where's the "we"? The country was divided in 2016 and still is. The only question is what is the ratio now? The rest of your comment was just the same old mythology you guys were spouting two years ago. YAWN.
