He said on many occasions that he'd never read Project 2025, nor what it was or even never heard about it. That was a lie. You're being played, and all you care about is that he's going after things you hate. He's not even attempting to bring us together as a country, but instead, preying on your emotions and fears. Where has this been done before? Even now, ICE raids are being held at court houses to take into custody migrants who are playing by the rules and reporting as directed to their appointments with attorneys. People doing it "the right way" are being arrested. There's already talk of going underground and the government losing track of millions of migrants who are trying to find legitimate work (we need their help) on farms. These aren't criminals like he's talking about, but people easier to take into custody and claim they are keeping campaign promises. How is this making us "safer?"

  22. 1 out of every 20 dollars goes to roads and bridges in your state too, but the rest goes towards High speed internet, ports, airports, investing in high speed rails, etc. You people are going to vote against everything the President proposes even though it helps most red states with less then 4 million people and where modern day infrastructure is sorely lacking. You just don't want to make big money donors to your coffers to have to pay for it.

If she is a failure, then what does that make the police officers who work for her? Maybe, just maybe it is the police officers who are the failures and failed that young officer who died. Who trained her? Where are the evaluation reports from her supervisors? The training manuals up to date? Where were her team mates when she was killed? How does any of this make the Mayor at fault? It sounds to me that this Mayor is taking some responsibility for anything that happens in her city. Guess that makes her much different from some other (former) politician who took responsibility for nothing, huh.

Many people don't want police officers in their communities for obvious reasons! They perceive the police as an extension of certain people (white people in particular) who use them at the drop of a hat to persecute, harass, intimidate, and execute "others" who don't look like the majority of police departments in this country! Why aren't there more police recruiters going into the inner cities and actively trying to hire more people who look like the community their serve? Why don't officers live in the places they actually work? Many law enforcement officers live in the suburbs yet work in the inner cities. They have no idea how people survive in those environments, yet they get to administer "justice" the way they WANT it to be, not the way it is! If you want to pray, then pray for the homeless, the downtrodden, the orphan, the widow and the refugee! THAT is what Jesus said and would want!

  35. if only that were true. I haven't done a thing to "keep" our country divided when it's been divided so long and the election of Donald Trump put that on steroids. I would love to talk to former friends of mine who didn't have this extreme ideology prior to Trump (or they felt they had to suppress it) before he came along and gave voice to the bitterness in millions of Americans. For that I despise him, but it's up to us to decide if we want to live and let live, or tell others how they should live. If you believe we should bring ourselves along without anyone else or if you belive you are better then others or that they "don't belong" then, no. We will stay divided and I'll stand up in your face and tell you that you are wrong.

I actually watch fox entertainment just to see what their spin is on national and world news. I don't think you've answered my direct question yet about the reasons I do vote for candidates like Lightfoot and the reasons you don't, which is did you NOT vote for her for those reasons. Of course policy is important, it just isn't in cases where people of color are concerned. If you don't believe that then go read some of the comments from many on this thread who don't address policy but her gender, sexual orientation and race. I commend you if you only vote because of policy, but, if you can, name what policies she was running on when she ran for office? What policies were former President Obama? VP Harris? I'll go so far as to say even Donald Trump didn't have a specific policy to run on other then insults and how beautiful everything was going to be. I am wrong. Much of the time. I don't believe I am all-knowing in any event. If I gave that impression obviously I was misunderstood or misquoted. That being said, can you answer any of my questions?
