I feel sorry --- and concerned --- for any white patients that psychiatrist might have.

Those cheering the social media bannings haven't figured out yet that they'll be the next ones banned.

Biological man walking around insisting he is Napoleon: get that man some mental health help! Biological man walking around insisting he is a woman: stunning and brave!
50
Worse, intolerance is being spread by people who genuinely believe their intolerance is actually benevolent tolerance.
26
As James Lindsay has observed numerous times, medical Lysenkoism is on the rise. (Rapidly, it seems.)
24
Apparently, there is a section of academia for whom the word 'research' is spelled p-e-r-v-e-r-s-i-o-n.
23
I suspect many problems could be solved if such sacrifices consisted of politicians.

Woke medicine and woke law are going to be disastrous. Both fields are being rapidly penetrated by the ideology.
18
@josephk.4200 <--- desperately wishes he had lived in 1930s Germany, Italy, or Soviet Union so he could be the one in authority stomping on the faces of others
17
I foresee malpractice cases soaring in the next decade or two.
14
Look, the occasional knife fights between teenagers is nothing to be alarmed about. Just some kids working off their precocious energy.
14
Newspeak is proceeding well. Syme would be most proud.

Over $600 million spent on an election which ends up with results almost identical to two years ago. Trudeau is the reverse Harper: while Stephen Harper had two minority governments before finally getting a majority, Justin Trudeau started with a majority and followed that up with two minority governments.
12
There should be an option to say on that application,: "I accept NO pronouns of any kind. You must ONLY use my full name in all communications."
11
@josephk.4200 <--- found the corporate "news" watcher
11
"The country can survive Trudeau for one term, but our country may not survive if these same fools elect him again." Uh, he's already had two terms. The first was a solid majority; the second was a minority. (A downward trajectory, and the opposite of Harper's.) At this point, I'd say it's a coin flip between a Liberal minority and a Conservative minority. I don't think either is popular enough to get a majority.

That beeping sound heard during parts of the video was the "progressive" wokesters quickly backing up when they realized they were about to engage with Professor Saad.
10
@josephk.4200 <--- probably thinks 50% of COVID cases are hospitalized

@AndyFromBeaverton About half the people walking around outside in Toronto wear a mask. It would be funny if it weren't so sad.

Engineering, law, medicine, all are falling in universities. It's going to be a rough couple of decades.
9
@bluecollarcanuck Great. You just made me think of a bit from Family Guy. "Hello, China? Yes, that's right -- ALL the tea."
8
@nycgweed That's the hard part. Hence why it is always, "Communism --- not even once."
8
Groucho or Karl?

The general description of the Lebanese civil war sounds a lot like what happened in (the former) Yugoslavia after that country fell apart in the aftermath of the collapse of the Soviet Union. Tribalism to the point of deadly violence knows no national boundary nor is limited by time period. It is an all-too common part of human history.
7
She is still trying to atone for the guilt she feels over her very politically incorrect The Sarah Silverman Program. It's similar to the way Jimmy Kimmel is trying to atone for his part in The Man Show.
7
We also need SEVERE punishments for corruption and ethics violations. Right now, the politicians know they can be corrupt and face almost nothing in the way of consequences. They are unaccountable for their decisions at present.
7
Olivia Wilde is, to use an old term, a trollop. (At least, that's what she is based on her personal history.)
7
What about 'Son of Castro'?
7
Tear down academia and rebuild. What exists now is probably beyond salvation.
7
@Beau Lijah Which is why moving to alternatives such as Locals or Minds becomes increasingly important. People only stick with Facebook or Twitter because of inertia -- they don't want to change. At some point that change will become necessary.
7
And the worst thing of all is that Legault will likely will re-election handily.
6
With human minds two things can be true at the same time. Even if there are completely opposing ideas. Orwell coined a word for that: doublethink.
6
"Forget it, Gad. It's Harvardtown."
6
It amazes me that she can speak with such conviction about something she is completely ignorant about. The above applies not just to actors but politicians as well.

in no way it can be applied to mask wearing (just a simple act that has no negative consequences unless you believe the BS about masks blocking oxygen or stuff like that) Please point to the correlation in the real-world data between the implementation of mask mandates and subsequent case counts. Guess what? You can't, because there is NO such correlation. Of course, correlation is not causation, but if there is NO correlation, there CANNOT be causation. If anything, the use of masks correlate to HIGHER case counts, not lower.

5.88% = percentage of 2020-21 COVID deaths in Canada aged 20-59 5.76% = percentage of 2015-19 influenza & pneumonia deaths in Canada aged 20-59 84.36% = percentage of 2020-21 COVID deaths in Canada aged 70 or older 86.44% = percentage of 2015-19 influenza & pneumonia deaths in Canada aged 70 or older 880 = number of Canadians under the age of 50 who died in transportation accidents in 2019 574 = number of Canadians under the age of 50 who died from COVID in 2020-21

On the other hand, anyone who is either hopelessly incompetent or horribly corrupt absolutely sees themselves represented in Parliament.
5
The brittle are easier to control.
5
@ha-jd7wl <---- Probably an avid "news" watcher. It's the only thing which can explain being so poorly informed.
4
I listened to his podcast once, became a horse and died at least twice so far But you got better, right?
4
Public enemy #1 = "journalists" Public enemy #2 = public "health" officials Public enemy #3 = politicians
4
Biology will soon be removed from text books.
4
Was there any serious question as to Ted Bundy's guilt?
4
The Hippocratic Oath died during COVID.

Can you clarify, Dr. Saad: Did you indeed use a vaccine passport to enter the cafe? You went along with this rather than refusing to use such 'papers, please' and not go into the cafe? If this indeed the case, then by such use you are supporting the government's draconian response and making it possible for such discrimination to continue.

@futureseeker1163 Minds and Locals are Twitter/Facebook alternatives. There are choices out there. Once a critical mass is reached in people switching to these other options, things will thereafter move quickly. AOL was once king of the hill; so was MySpace. It is not inevitable that Twitter and Facebook will forever rule the roost.
4
@kellyprice1024 And maybe you ought to familiarize yourself with how Canadian federal elections operate, because the rules and procedures are entirely different from that of American presidential elections.
4
"Gender is a spectrum" And yet there is a better than 99% correlation between a person's biological sex and their gender. That is, you can predict with better than 99% accuracy what someone's gender is by just knowing their biological sex, and you can predict with greater than 99% accuracy what someone's biological sex is by just knowing their gender. Doesn't seem like much of a spectrum to me.

or vaccination (a simple little puncture, safe and 95% effective). Vaccines DO work and work amazingly well. Someone hasn't looked at the latest data out of Israel, Iceland, U.K., or even Canada. Someone hasn't looked at VAERS, EudraVigilance, or Yellow Card.
