  3. Well, I would point out the inconvenient fact that the original 1992 film was heavily fictionalized. The AGPBL did not play something which resembled baseball until 1948, and even then was still rather different from standard baseball. Pitching was underhand until 1946; overhand pitching started in 1948. The pitching distance was just 40 feet in the league's first two seasons; it didn't reach 60 feet until the league's last season in 1954. The basepaths distance was only 65 feet in its first season; for most of the league's history it was 72 feet. (Standard baseball, for reference, has a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches; basepaths distance are 90 feet, and pitching is overhand only.)

  14. Too many people aren't blaming the right person. You should be angry at Kevin Fiege. He is the captain of the Marvel ship. He is the one who hired Gao. He is the one who let her do the show that way. He could have stepped in but didn't. It should be clear to everyone at this point that Kevin Feige is no genius. It should be clear that others were the ones responsible for Marvel's success earlier on, and Feige just took the credit. It should be clear that Feige actually has no idea what he's doing. Kevin Feige is the Marvel equivalent of HBO's Benioff & Weiss, the duo that ran the final seasons of Game of Thrones into the ground.
