  2. ​ @pmscalisi  Yes, it is solid. You'll know we are in a real recession when the FED starts dropping interest rates back under 2% rapidly. But there is no point trying to convince people of anything nowadays. They only believe what "their party" says is true. No convincing them otherwise. Party loyalty over common sense. Go look at the major assets in the country and you'll see where the money is being spent.

  3.  @sharepoint1800  Yea, I checked the area and there is nothing that interests me in that price range. Oh, there are some condos, but the HoA fees were over $700 and they were a bit to close to the ocean for me. Looks like I'm 100% avoiding the southeast. That means my top choices are Arizona, New Mexico, or southern Illionois by the Mississippi river.

  4.  @ccryderer1265  I already lived in Montana (Miles City). No thanks. No urge to go back. And yes, I traveled across the whole state of Montana. The east side is rather bland. Manhattan? Where can I get a small vacation home for under $100k in Manhattan? Southern Illinois is still on the list because there are some areas that have beautiful biking routes around the Mississippi and affordable 2 bedroom (1 or 2 bathroom) homes under $100k. Just need to worry about the potential flooding. Heck, I might move to that Southern Illinois area permanently. And unlike Arizona, you'd still experience a full four seasons of weather.

If this is true (still not sure), then it should be negative for risk assets Monday when USA markets come into full swing.

The most prominent one I remember was located on Commercial Blvd and University Drive in Tamarac, Florida on the southwest corner. Now? There is an overpriced condo development there.   34.  @georgedoolittle7574  Trying to think of ahem "mom and pop retail in Florida" I'm sure if you look back before the 80's, it was very feasible to find excellent mom and pop retail locations that covered important niches bigger retail outlets like Sears wouldn't bother with. But nowadays? Are they really needed? What could they offer other than more personal service? Are working people going to pay 20% more for something to get that type of service? Economies of scale and fast delivery times made most mom and pops irrelevant.

  40. Heh.... this video reminds me why I'm looking for a small house with 2 bedroom (1 or 2 bathroom) in Southern Illinois. Preferably one with a small lawn easy enough for me to maintain myself. I found a few good places but I'm not ready to move for a few more years. But it never hurts to get an idea ahead of time 🙂 It will most likely be the last move in my life. When I'm to old to maintain it myself it will be affordable to pay a lawn service.

Here's an idea... go to a simple internet search on all the benefits electric cars (not hybrids) offer over gas powered vehicles. One of the main ones is upkeep costs. Much fewer parts in an electric vehicle.

  45.  @ArcticAnalysis  True, but the mother board is starting to fail: The computer frequently crashes, freezes, and reboots on its own without warning. This happens during regular usage or even during bootup. Also, the on/off switch only works sometimes. And I know it isn't a power supply issue cause I tested it. Honestly not worth fixing the computer at this stage. Not sure how much longer the motherboard will hold out.

  48. Energy prices came down because Wall Street was pricing in the new administration getting more American oil and gas on the market. Wall Street makes their bets months in advance, so when the actual policy is implemented, they can make a bet in the other direction and catch all the "weak" traders who trade on the news of the moment. It had little to do with the current administration suppressing prices LOL.
