6:16 why let him leave when he's the one responsible? He also had the audacity to argue back which means he should get in trouble. Nothing I hate more than someone who can't take responsibility for their actions and if you let people be then why do you have a dash cam?
9
@mashintotters858 He had the right of way. Entitled Benz driver got shut down.
9
The second you get out of your car to rage at someone the recipient should be automatically allowed to bear spray the rager.
9
@StevenPenny Well trucks can't be maneuvered like a go kart especially when loaded up with up to 80,000lbs. You can take the side of the car driver but legally he did everything wrong not to mention he blocked traffic and proceeded to approach the truck driver in a threatening way.
9
In the second clip the cammer should have kept stopping and going. Eventually the rager would have been so far from his van it would have been hilarious.
9
@theBear89451 Read the law. He has to yield to the person already in the lane. Giving up your legal right of way is stupid. Stop trying to act like some sort of angel, that has NOTHING to do with what happened here.
9
3:39 so the guy is underinsured and still has the audacity to lie. I would take him to court just to inconvenience him and make him at the very least pay for a lawyer. Had he been honest I wouldn't do anything and leave it up to insurance but since he wants to lie and be an ass I'll fire back.
9
I feel for the kid and the dog in the first clip. At the very least he'll hightail it out of the house at 18 and not make the same mistakes Karen did.
9
5:50 get you car appraised after the repairs are done. If the insurance claim diminishes the resale value of your car versus a non accident model with similar age/mileage you can submit that claim to the other party's insurance company and they (after some fighting of course) will write you a check for the difference. You can also sue the driver for at least your deductible if you had one. I did just that and got money back. Took a bit of effort though.
8
3:53 don't try to play innocent. The Jeep driver may have gotten a little angry but you did cut in front of them.
8
Well the laws clearly state that the person merging must yield so this is on the Tesla driver and anyone else who commits such a dumb act.
8
@DiogenesOfCa Wrong. The law states that anyone wanting to change lanes must yield all while signaling to show their intent. It doesn't matter that the van's lane is ending or blocked. It's still their job to wait until it's clear to change lanes. Drive within the law. Right of way belongs to the cammer.
8
I wonder if the vehicle pulled to the left when the cammer slammed on the brake.
8
A $100 dash cam does a far better than that Tesla cam crap. How is video from the 90s considered good?
8
Read up on traffic laws. The traffic acts of each state or province clearly states that anyone merging has to yield. There is 0 legal obligation on the cammers in this case, or any driver, to let someone in especially if it mean giving up their legal ROW and potentially getting rear ended via slamming on their brakes to let an entitled driver in.
8
@StevenPenny Even if that's the case the car driver does not have the right of way and there is no legal obligation anyway on the part of the truck driver to let anyone in. What is so hard to understand about that? There is clear proof it's the car driver's fault bar none.
8
Even when Australians are angry it sounds so pleasant. Greetings from Canada!
8
5:51 that's exactly the problem. Police are quick to pull you for doing 5 over the limit but are nowhere in sight to catch the real baddies. 30 minutes to show up for a drunk driver. Great.
8
4:02 both of you. You for getting into the turn lane before it officially begun and the sedan driver for not checking blind spot.
8
4:12 was a satisfying PIT.
7
@StevenPenny The ONLY thing applying here is legalities. Driving is about following the law.
7
@dumbassdriversofdenver9113 Since when does the law have to do with ego? The law clearly states that the one merging has to yield to the drivers already in the lane they wish to go into. Drive within the law. I don't have to let a merger in especially if they're an entitled fool that think I have to give up my right of way and slam on my brakes just to let them in. I risk getting rear ended if I slam on my brakes.
7
@Ryan-yu5kt Or they're driving within the law and doing things right so they get pissed when they see someone do something reckless and get away with it.
7
Well she did far worse. She needs a little humbling if she wants to laugh at her being dangerous. People get shot for less.
7
@donnash5813 Ego? What about the ego of the pickup driver and his wife? They feel like the world has to stop for them. Their actions caused the hold up, not the cammer.
7
@legion7478 Just because the law exists doesn't mean they actually enforce it. Also, if the gun is an illegally acquired weapon then he needs additional jail time. Also, we're having a civil conversation so you can stop with the "calm down already". I'm willing to listen to other perspectives.
7
7:22 the cammer is an idiot. It's not the sedan's fault and they weren't speeding as their lane was clear. The pickup is 100% at fault here.
7
@avega2792 So then instead of understanding her frustration you decided to go the smug route and judge her. She has every right to be pissed as something as simple as an automated car wash shouldn't be difficult or end with a problem. I would be absolutely furious with the car wash employees and the Audi driver.
7
Then put your hazards on or just maintain your car so it doesn't give problems. Roads are for moving and a vehicle sitting still in a live lane of traffic poses a danger.
6
7:17 why is the Officer telling the cammer to stop when they're trying to get out of her way? I don't want be stopped on the freeway in a live lane of traffic and risk getting rear ended. I want to get moving.
6
Ummm don't you know how right of way works? The fact the were yelling at the cammer all while blocking the road tells you of their personality. They are entitled and deserved to be honked at. If you read traffic laws you'd see the cammer and everyone on the road has the legal ROW. What if an emergency vehicle was coming through? Should they just wait too?
6
Yep. Too bad an innocent driver had to have their car and day ruined. Hopefully they weren't hurt.
6
@HiltownJoe You're reaching there Skippy. The pickup driver not only pulled a dumb move (cammer had the legal right of way) he decided to be a petty loser. Even if the cammer was laying on the horn the pickup driver should have went when the light turned green. Good thing he pulled that in Owen Sound, had he tried that in Toronto he would have definitely would have been attacked or shot and heck, he deserved it.
6
He was changing his lane. Debris shouldn't be in the road.
6
@michaelmay7917 Zipper merge is NOT law. She deserves her come uppins, not the cammer. Read up on traffic laws.
6
@jaylipinski1443 Ummm he has the legal right of way and the Hyundai driver cut in front of him. If he were to slam on his brakes to let her in he would run the risk of getting rear ended. The laws are clearly written and the person who wants to change lanes but yield to whoever is already in there. I don't blame him for getting mad as it is literally the law that he has the legal right of way.
6
How so? I see people upholding their legal right of way. Nothing wrong with that.
6
@Skank_and_Gutterboy Cammer does, by law, have the legal right of way. The Escape driver should have yielded. There's no proof here the cammer did anything afterwards.
6
@donnash5813 That's not being considerate. The idiot in the truck should have turned right. Given how he was behaving along with his cow of a wife he didn't deserve the courtesy. You want to be a pushover in society then fine. I wouldn't have moved. The cammer had the legal right of way which means just that, they have the legal right of way.
6
@glasshalffull2930 imagining things doesn't equate to reality. The real reason people drive like assholes is because they are assholes.
6
Yeah if it were me already in the lane I would have not let the cammer in. People seem to think zipper merging means driving as fast as you can and bully your way in once the lane ends but that's not how it works.
6
6:05 possible insurance fraud? They're turning into a driveway and indicated on doing so. Just because you have crap brakes and tires doesn't make the other driver at fault.
6
The truck driver had a clear lane ahead of him so he changed his lane for no reason. Had they hit the truck driver would be at fault.
6
Regarding the first clip. "Well gee Officer the man approached my car in a threatening manner and it looked like he was reaching into his pocket. I feared for my life and my wife's life and floored it to get out of there running him over in the process".
6
@MaxZomboni How so? The truck driver has the legal ROW. Camaro driver is just an impatient douchebag. Right of way is right of way.
6
First off the zipper merge is merely a technique and not a law. Legally the cammer has the legal right of way and control of the lane. Whoever wants to change lanes has to yield to the cammer or anyone who may already be in the lane. From a fairness standpoint why should the cammer let the driver in? It only enables the bad drivers to commit future infractions so they might as well learn the hard way. I do not let people in especially traffic cheaters and last minute merges. Law is on my side anyway and my car has battle scars already so what's one more?
6
@rp7773 You're shoving race where it does not belong. Some people are just plain angry douches. Nothing racial about that.
6
Derek might be one of the dumbest cammers I've seen in a while. Sure, the Civic driver did something dumb but driving over the median, speeding, cutting off, blocking, driving in the wrong direction and engaging in a chase is far more dangerous. Cops should be paying the cammer a visit, not the Civic driver. Also, why risk damaging the trim, suspension and even oil pan on your car by pulling such a dumb move?
6
Daniel Drader Yeah. One time I called the Police because I noticed a toddler in a hot car in a Wal Mart parking lot. I called 911 and they actually refused to send out Police, fire or EMS. The second I said that I will smash the window then they suddenly dispatched Officers. Within about 5 or 6 minutes 4 Officers showed up in 4 separate cars to lecture me on saying such things instead of smashing the window. Once everyone in the parking lot started yelling at the Officers to do something then they smashed the window after radioing to dispatch to get the kid out who was fine. The worst part is that this is a large city police force with 5500 full time Officers yet they're so mickey mouse at times.
6
That's what happened in Toronto earlier this week. We got over a foot of snow and tons of EVs were stuck on the highway. They couldn't run the heat because they had no battery charge and had to wait for a DIESEL tow truck to come get them. At least with a gas/diesel car if the battery is flat you can boost it and get it running because the alternator will take over but good luck doing that in a car that's more of a smartphone than a car.
