  1. Renault makes the best small diesel engines in the world. So there's no shame. And FWD can be as good and better than RWD when done properly. Again...Renault, which makes FWD cars that wipe the floor with proper sports car with more power and RWD, in fact, a 265hp Megane RS is as fast around Nurburgring as a BMW M3 with 420hp and RWD. How about that...

  2. Jaguar costs half as much, but is better in every single way, considerably. Acceleration? No. Who cares, it's more than fast enough.

  3. @vix121 What they should have done with new mondeo, if they want to make a global model so badly, is lend the RWD system from Taurus and put it on Mondeo/Fusion. It would be much more competitive then. Even though, Mondeo with FWD has been tuned almost to perfection, cant get much better for a FWD car in terms of driving dynamics.

  4. What I don't like about DS cars is the ride, even when they were still sold as Citroens, they were too stiff and overly sporty, instead of going for the expected comfortable approach. I remember test driving the DS5 when it came out expecting it to be a super comfy car, only to realize it had a ride like it had wooden stumps for springs, terrible ride compared to the C5 which was far cheaper. I think that's a big mistake, because someone who wants a stiff and sporty premium car will buy a BMW or an Audi instead, but there's no premium car for someone who wants something super comfortable and soft.

  5. @razioth Depends what you want. In a real proper sports car that would be used on a track, manual transmission is always more fun, but in every day situations, when driving normally, a automatic is much more relaxed to drive. There's no point having a manual in dense traffic when you driving like 40-50 km/h, or on opened roads where you constantly drive 100-110 km/h.

  6. @atami210 True. And in most cases, competition STILL needs more power to be as fast, even though they already sacrificed comfort, quality, luxury...nothing beats a M car in the saloon world. Even the AMG's and RS's Audis are no match. They equal BMW in terms of quality, every day usability, luxury, but they still cant offer then handling and balance that BMW's have, even the regular 3 series or 5 series drive better and handle nicer than some performance models out there.

  7. @derbigpr500 To conclude, its simple to make a car go fast around track if you ignore luxury, comfort, build quality, everyday use, driving in wet/cold/off track, etc... and merican car makers make sports cars like that. Thats why Mustang GT will never be as good as lets say Jaguar XKR, because XKR is a car, it does EVERYTHING well, and its still fast, probably as fast around track as GT500 if you put the same semi-slick track tires on it, despite having 100hp less and infinitely more luxury.

  9. That because you probably never drove the Insignia. Its not even in the same league as the Passat or Superb. Passat is a much better car in every single way. Insignia looks great, but you quickly find out its a low quality heap of junk. Its not nearly as refined, quiet or comfortable as the Passat, has no room in the back, low roof, poor visibility, interior build quality is horrible, boring to drive. Insignia is a car which gets worse in your eyes as you spend time with it. Passat is opposite.

  10. 500kg less, 30+ hp more and 0.3 seconds faster to quarter mile....yea....fuck the diesel. Its superior in every way. Lets not even compare their in gear performance....like 80-120 km/h, which the diesel will do twice as quickly.

  12. Um....the 320d was designed from ground up to be a turbo engine, its not like someone tuned it. And it can has freaking 10 turbos, it still weighs 500kg more and has far less HP.

  14. Also, interior is pure kitch. 2 screens one above the other....with totally different actual screens, and different graphics on each. Looks like one is aftermarket. All that black glossy cheap plastic is not popular in Europe. In fact, the whole interior is just plain ugly.

  16. The reason why A class lost a drag race is the following: Its only a 1.5l with 109hp. 1 series is a 2.0l with 143hp and Golf is a 2.0l with 150hp. A3 is a 1.6l with 105hp, BUT it is much lighter than the A class. So how the fuck is A class going to win? It didn't lose because its engine is made by Renault, it lost because its heavier than A3 and 40hp weaker than 1 and Golf. Its sad how a reviewer in such a magazine is so ignorant and twists facts to make fun of someone, while being clueless.

  18. @vix121 Yea but, Ford in america should have the decency and admit that the cars they're selling were not developed by them, but by european ford division, which is entirely separated. And they dont do that. Same as buick doesnt do that even their Regal, which is a 100% copy of german Opel Insignia. They say its an american car, which its not. Thats why i dont like this type of car making. Also, you cant make a car that will be equally good for EU and US markets, since they're different.

  20. And if people don't like how Audi looks, then don't buy it. There are plenty of those who can appreciate clean timeless design which is sporty and elegant at the same time, without shouting about it. Even the LED's (which looks kitschy on most other cars) look clean and purposeful on Audi's.

  21. Darius Andrey Well he's wrong, this is NOT a Golf competitor at all, not the same class. It's actually a T-Roc competitor, which does share a lot with the Golf, but is not the same.

  24. @derbigpr500 The point is,american cars are still one-purpose cars. Its easy to make a car that will go fast around track if you ignore everything else. Give it loads of power, give it sports suspension, huge brakes, limited slip diff, aerodynamic kit, strip out any luxury, use light materials (cheap plastic) in interior to save weight and at the end give it track tires, and you have a very fast car for a track. Thats what Ford did with GT500 (and Boss302), thats what they did with Camaro ZL1.
