  2. @derbigpr500 While I don't hate american cars, I do hate american car shows who are always extremely biased, and I already see them write nonsense like they did when Boss 302 Mustang came out...car reviews named like "Boss 302, the M3 killer", where they strip out the Mustang (even take backseats out), put road-illegal tires and front air splitter on it, and then they compare its lap time around Laguna Seca to that of a stock M3...at the end Mustang is only 0,5 sec faster and wins in review.

  4. There's no way in hell a Fiesta is more comfortable than 208 or Clio. Even a regular Fiesta is a harsh, unrefined mess. It has no noise proofing, its hard, uncomfortable...very cheap inside. Seriously, regular Clio or 208 feel like twice as expensive cars compared to the Fiesta. This is just a biased review. Clio 4 RS being 1 sec slower than old one? Right...how come in all other tests its 2-3 seconds faster than old one?

  5. @razioth Cars with DSG are incredibly fun to drive. Even driving a VW Golf with 1.4 TSI engine and DSG gearbox feel like driving a car from a computer game. Manuals are fun to drive sometimes, but most of the time they're pain in the ass. Try driving in some city with a manual car, driving for 100 meters, then stopping for a traffic light...and doing that on a 20 km's long stretch of road, and doing that every morning when going to work. Manuals are fun only when you're driving quickly.

I really dont like the interior of S60, since everything except the aluminum central console looks old and outdated. And if you think thats the most comfortable car you've ever sat in, then you wanna try Citroen C5.

  14. @vix121 I dont like this new Mondeo very much. Old Mondeo was nicer inside, it looked more modern than this "new" model. It had many details that made it special. In this new one too many buttons, which is what US Ford likes obviously, because they've done the same thing in new Focus. US Ford division only developed infotainment system for new Focus, and thats the part of the car that got the most critique in EU. Different market, different preferences.

  15. @JELH I'd put it like that probably as well. I like the Insignia , its has the best interior of the 3 in this video, best engines, and feels like a more expensive car. Passat is just below average today. Mondeo is very cheaply built inside, and Mazda is typically japanese, drives good, looks good on outside, but interior is filled with plastic and designed in 10 mins.

  18. And lap times don't mean shit in cars like this. You won't notice 1 second per lap...you won't notice 0,2 sec faster 0-100 time or 2 mph higher/lower top speed. What you will notice is car balance, behavior of chassis on the limit, sound, feel, feedback....

  19. They're not even cars from the same league.... M6 is a big grand tourer 4 seat coupe / convertible, SL63 is a luxury roadster. M6 is a much bigger car, its 30cm longer, 2.5 cm wider, 7cm taller and over 200kg heavier. They both have same power, and Merc has more torque. So...its not really well done Merc, because M6 SHOULD be much slower, but even driven badly with lots of oversteering it was only 1 sec slower.

  20. @Oggoel Funny how you look at things so blindly. First of all, 1.8 v-tec achieves same MPG as 1.4 TSI only on paper, in real world, no. Also, 1,4 TSI has much more torque, and is actually faster in any acceleration test and it feels more powerful when you drive it. Its also much smoother, quieter, and it also revs freely to almost 7000 rpm if you want to. If you drive the 1.8 v-tec normally, it will consume MUCH more fuel than 1.4 TSI. I test drove both, I know.

  22. @paskowitz Yea and thats why regular Mustang is all you need, because in this one you wont be able to cruise around. About value...I wouldnt agree. Even though Mustangs dont cost much, they still feel too cheap and disposable for anyone who's serious about his car to even consider. Screw a car that costs $30000 if it feels like you've been ripped off every time you sit inside or every time you're not flooring it in a straight line.

You forgot to mention in the comparison that Jaguar will do 7:50 time on road tires, while being comfortable, refined, quiet, you will sit inside surrounded by luxurious materials and top notch build quality, you will be inside a luxury car, and still go extremely fast. In GT500, you will be surrounded by cheapest plastic, no luxury at all, car will be extremely uncomfortable and unrefined (as even the normal mustang is)...not to mention it did 7:30 on SEMI-SLICK track tires, which cut lap time.

  28. I just dont see why so many people assume that winter tires are made for snow or ice only, which is completely not true. Winter tires are made for all conditions, and summer tires will suck even on dry road in very cold conditions. Its just surprising how many people dont realize that and why they are surprised with these facts presented in video.

But they wont tell you WHY its faster (road-illegal modifications, stripped out - useless in every day, and 40hp more), and they wont tell you that M3 humiliates Mustang in every other aspect, and EVEN performance when Mustang is stock. No, they wont tell that, because that would make you think that an american car is worse than an import car, which is not good.

  36. Because the competition of cars on EU market is much stronger than in the USA, especially in the hatchback segment. So in order to compete, you see Honda, Toyota, Kia, Hyundai, etc. making different cars for EU market than for the US market. But if I told you how much the european Civic costs, you probably would not want one. A 2.2l diesel with 150hp (which is the most popular version) and some nice equipment (not top of the line) costs more than $42000.

  37. Actually we know more about american cars than most americans do, who are mostly clueless about cars. And what do you mean Top gear keeps dumping them? Number one, Top gear is not the only car show, and there are literally thousands of magazines and online portals with car reviews of all sorts from all over the world. And two, they did test pretty much any american car thats worth mentioning, so I dont know what you're talking about.

Color has nothing to do with luxury, and there is no cadillac on the market which can be described as luxurious, well, at least not remotely comparable to what is considered luxury when it comes to cars likes Audis, BMW, Mercedes, etc. Lots of fake leather on dash, fake wood, fake plastic chrome and aluminium, or carbon fibre, and nowhere near the build quality of an A7 for example, means its not even a premium car, let alone a luxury one.

The reason why all Audi's look the same is because they've perfected the design and proportions of various elements to the point where its almost impossible to improve it without ruining the signature Audi look that combines elegance with sharp lines. To all those who complain it looks too similar to other Audi's....what would you change about it to improve what it looks like? Exactly, you can't come up with anything. Audi's design quality is on a whole different level compared to most others.

  45. @derbigpr500 And at the end, Peugeot has the best built interior, has great engines (developed together with bmw), best comfort/handling combination in class (feels like Audi A4, while being more comfortable and smooth), loads of room inside, loads of equipment....etc etc...its just feels like a far better car than almost anything in class. Passat literally looks like crap next to it, especially if we look at interiors. I think that 508 is a proper premium car to be compared with A4 and BMW3.

Currently in class: - Peugoet 508 - Citroen C5 - Opel Insignia or Ford Mondeo - Honda Accord - Mazda 6 - VW Passat or Toyota Avensis Passat is just too old to compete with any of newer cars in class, and Peugeot 508 and Citroen C5 are just too good to be beaten by any of the cars in class. They are by far the most comfortable, have by far the best interiors (especially 508), handle great (especially 508), have great engines, best equipment and overall feel like better cars than others.

  48. Honda needs to ditch the V-tec engine if they want to compete with the germans, in other words golf, focus and astra. V-tec engines are weak in every day use, inefficient, noisy, consume lots of fuel...its basically the technology that died out. Nobody wants an engine that needs to be revved to 6000 rpm to get any power. They need to make some small turbocharged engines.
