  3. Should I replace the seals around the doors with OEM rubber or should I add extra after-market seals next to the original factory ones? I have a 2 door Yaris and I hear wind noise coming from the driver's door, even though the rubber strip looks fine and it's not broken nor dried up.

  6. There is a video on You Tube, showing an assembly line in Japan and one in France, both making Yaris. The French one seems noisy and kind of hectic, while the one from Japan appears more quiet and focused. Even down to the outfits worn by the workers.

  12. My local Mazda dealer makes a video showing the inspection of the car, including measuring brake and tire wear, condition of fluids and filters. If anything is needed they report it and wait for your approval.

  13. The Celica was basically a sporty, 2 door version of the Corolla, Toyota could do a modern version, but they fear that it will not sell very well at all. They won't even import the Yaris GR to the US.

  15. Do you recommend re moving all covers from all engines? Doesn't hat help keep heat from escaping? Especially in hot climates.

  21. Seats must have been covered at one time or another. Seats wear out from normal use. Although I bet this has mostly highway miles,, such was the case with that famous Volvo with over a million miles. Owner spent a lot of time driving it long distance.

  24. I got my eyes out for a Corolla hatchback, made in Japan with the 2.0 engine. I don't trust the 1.8 and it's oil burning pistons.

  27. I had a 98 Corolla, first engine (oil burner) died at 240k miles, I put in a used motor, that had just under 100k miles, it did not burn any oil for the first 3 yrs. After that it became even a bigger oil burner to the point where i had to add oil every day, so I just junked the car.

  36. My first Toyota, a 1986 Camry had a front vibration that was never diagnosed or corrected even after many visits to the dealer, they even paid for an on car wheel balance and it did not work. if this had been now with the lemon laws, I would have taken them to court for another car.

  39. The tech I like to use has a mobile service and getting him to fix my car takes days of waiting and if the car is not running and you need it, then you're out of luck and have to go somewhere else.

  46. I've seen videos showing Toyota safari tourist vehicles in Africa. They replace Land Rover, I guess those are no longer reliable.

  48. I wouldn't, it calls for 5W30. I use the high mileage oil from Walmart and a Denso oil filter and I've had zero problems. I live in a hot climate, don't trust that thin oil.

  50. I ain't got the money or the need for such a big vehicle, but I would prefer a used V8 big truck or SUV over the turbo V6. I don't care who builds it.
