  2. If NATO were supplying them with long-range missiles, I'm sure they would. FJB won't approve anything with enough range to hit the bridge. A couple of dozen ATACMS missiles for the MLRS launchers we've given the Ukrainians would do that bridge a treat. So would the full-range Storm Shadow missiles, but the Brits have only given Ukraine the shorter-ranged "export version". Launch aircraft would have to fly through too much heavily defended airspace to use the export Storm Shadows.

And when Russia's Baltic Fleet sailed to Asia, the Japanese reamed them at Tsushima. Russia, in WWII didn't even offer to help against the Japanese, until Germany surrendered. The last time a European power invaded the US was Britain in the War of 1812. The last time ANY foreign power occupied ANY American territory was the Japanese, who occupied several of the Aleutian Islands.

The chips China makes are the sort that lets your blender play "Margaritaville" when the drink is done. Not gonna build "high-AI robots" with those. Secondly, if China COULD buy high-end chip fabricators, they couldn't keep them running. China depends on foreign technical experts to keep their third-rate chip making equipment running. Third, that sort of "high-AI robot" doesn't exist, yet, so there's no one for China to steal the plans from.

They can get workers easier, the product doesn't have to be shipped halfway around the world, and the existence of those American Toyota workers shields Toyota from protectionist impulses on the part of the US government. It's a win-win. We get good manufacturing jobs Japan didn't have the people to fill, anyway. Japan saves on shipping costs and doesn't have to worry about tariffs.

I don't foresee a big oil strike (which is what China truly needs). There ARE some shale oil reserves in Sichuan that China could tap, but Beijing doesn't like Sichuan, much, and would really rather not develop it more than it has to.

Gen Z voted in record numbers, and the broke HARD for Democrats. Also, Independents have had FOUR years of buyers' remorse. Four years of Democrats running the country into the ground, with little Republican opposition. Four years of the border sh¡tshow. Even blue city mayors are getting sick of FJB's border non-policy. And the polls' breakdown of Independents show them breaking FOR Trump. Battleground state polls are breaking for Trump. He currently leads in five of the six battleground states he lost. Democrats are panicking, with good reason.

  43. If the liberal NE United States was capable of long-range thinking, it would realize that solar and wind power won't EVER meet its needs, and start seriously looking at nuclear power. Paving Arizona with solar panels will not heat New York, in the winter. Neither will covering Iowa with wind turbines. The transmission losses are simply insurmountable. Switching to greentech will guarantee that the northeastern states will lose their economic dominance to the southwest and its cheaper energy. Maybe northeasterners might want to re-think their positions on energy.

High unemployment is good for the business community, because it drives wages down, but for everyone else, it sucks. Trump's policies drove unemployment to record low levels, allowing wages for American workers to rise more in his first year than they did in the sixteen years of Dubya Bush and Barack Obama's presidencies.

Restricting immigration tightened the labor market, driving unemployment to record low levels, which caused wages to rise, as employers bid for the smaller labor pool. Or to put it more simply, encourage businesses to grow IN AMERICA, and force them to HIRE AMERICANS.
