Nepal has a point...The 75% returnees risk is a risk that India is accepting, why should Nepal accept it. From an India point of view, the Gurkha agniveer returnees (fully trained) can misguided by say, Chinese influences or such.

What is the mystery? The message is stop using fossil fuel cars and get on the renewable wagon (literally)

Post 2024 will also decide who will survive the 5 years. ...this will be the proverbial last chance saloon for the implicated since new & forever... (Invite you to Rajat Sharma's interaction with Hemanta in the format that he does... quite insightful)
8
That is Riddikulus
8
Great questions by Mr. Singh! Expected deflections from the incumbent CM.
8
Well analysed and summarised! Thank you for the welcome change in the topic
8
First person, second draft is a brilliant idea. Thank you!
8
The video clearly shows how the opposition members manhandled the poor woman marshal. These people are deploying a strategy that assumes Indian public are fools....
8
@PRINT There is difference between Accountability & Responsibility. The accountability is with the SPG but one suspects that the bulk of the responsibility of likely series of preceding mis-events & decisions (incl lack thereof or positively malignant) will fall with the Punjab Police & Administration and not with the SPG....
8
Just came in to say that Mr Rajan is proof positive that Politics is really everything.
8
Don't understand why Ms Sitharaman is so defensive... It's not personal! ...She appears to brazen her way through tough questions and ends up giving the impression that situation is bad and they can't stem the bleeding. Her job is to inspire confidence. Utterly fails to do that in this session, even though a lot may have been done and is planned... it's a pity!
8
Agree ... how do these incidents make Indians the "worst travelers'... bit of a stretch
8
Absolutely.
8
Thank You for this interview, @PRINT! Big Dalrymple fan here - more such interviews with interesting authors, please!
8
Man, does he know how to play to his constituent gallery...
8
100% with you on UCC
8
@shahidahsan6507 Fully acknowledge your hurt for the innocents who suffered and so many who died but if you believe that the Supreme Court of India is somehow biased for/against any particular religion then honestly, you should reconsider living in India (that is if you do live in India)... What's the point of living in such a country, right?
8
Excellent CTC! ...very informative and detailed! It would be enjoyable if it was not so thrillingly macabre.
8
India and China must find ways to have lasting good relationship...
8
Poor Akhilesh Yadav... clearly he is neither a uniter, nor an effective leader..
7
If the opposition has any strategic sense, then they will empower Navin Babu and unite around him as the PM candidate. Seriously.
7
Excellent program! ..a lot of the credit goes to the director, Abhay Karandikar
7
Let's see these fools run freebies in Punjab with a per capita state revenue way lower than that of Delhi. Hope people of Punjab don't fall for this idiocy...
7
The preamble should never have been changed in the first place (by Mrs. I Gandhi)... All changes to the Constitution done during the Emergency should be rolled back.
7
He did. Last year this time.
7
That is quite an interesting observation. Nice
7
Really small-minded of you Mr Khattar to only offer to Haryana players - proves to us that you have a provincial mindset and dont have requisite vision and broad mindset to be a national level leader (unlike Navin Babu, for e.g.). All the ladies played really well and fought super-hard for the country - the nation is proud of each one of them!
7
Just Brilliant! More power to each one of you at Humari Udaan . Umeed ki Rasoi / National Urban Livelihood Mission is an awesome COVID-Recovery focused program! Thank you PRINT for bringing this story.
7
India has really no other option than PM Modi... other person, Naveen Babu, is not interested or has the will/energy. So I 💝PM Modi and his Vision for India.
7
What a tremendously fascinating/horrifying sight must be on the night when the volcano was erupting along with lightening... One wonders what humans 10s of thousands of year ago would have made of this when this happened in the past.
7
It is not unfathomable or surprising that people may ask this question. Many people don't understand why reservations are necessary in India, at least till India becomes a solid middle income economy with equitable wealth distribution. The logic of exams not being holistic and longitudinal assessment of individuals is also a good argument (along with the diversity one).
7
Fair analysis..
7
Naughty Raut.
7
Giving subsidies for Sugar export is fruitless - how will the farmer ever be incentive to move out of sugarcane? Also, sugar should be taxed much more and made very expensive (outside of PDS), it increases national healthcare costs.
7
Does INC sill have the 20% vote ... it is worth revisiting the 2019 number.
7
You like your poison with honey? Straight up everytime for me...
7
How exactly do catholics become an ideology.....
7
PM Modi is the best PM ever!
7
If Mr. Kejriwal remains faithful to what he preaches, 100% FOR INDIA without any corruption or compromise, he and his party are a Billion times preferable to INC.... (and half as desirable as the BJP)
7
It is just amazing how some 'learned' judges are passing kooky opinions & judgments... one says forced sex in marriage is not rape, another one says kissing/fondling 14 yr olds is not sexual abuse. What the heck is going on!? There is something obviously and seriously wrong here!
7
Well... though one wonders how many wives have been abandoned like this by their "husbands".
7
@PRINT / SG Good information included in drawing the 1974 parallel! it would be great if some references were given for further reading. To get a sense of the current moment, I recently read Manmohan' Singh's 1991 budget speech & World bank's Nov 1991 USD 250 MM "structural adjustment" loan to India recommendation to it's EDs documents. To cut a long story short, while the situation today is probably not as bad in some respects (record FX reserves), it is certainly perilously poised on a precipice. If PM Modi wants to get back in power in the 2024, he has to bite the bullet NOW. At risk of being presumptuous - Do whatever is required to shore up non-governmental spend, cut back populist govt spend --> absorb the public ire of higher inflation, PSU job losses etc and hope that things will get back on track in 2-3 years (Most certainly PM Modi/BJP will lose states in this period). He would then have about a year or so to win back love and the national election. Else he/BJP will lose all of it is my humble opinion, FWIW.
7
Mr. Sibal engages in whataboutry when it suits his argument and decries it when it doesn't -- both in a mere 24 min video. There is no hope, the Indian public is not stupid.
7
@PRINT Thank you for the topical NI! It is noteworthy that in the 62 pages that have released in public domain, India has been mentioned 19 times (!), Afghanistan 7 , Iran & Russia 3 each, but US & China only 4 times each, Turkey twice and Saudi Arabia only once ("Arab" 0) ...Quite interesting signaling. This is a doc targeted to India & India should very carefully interpret anything.
7
Excellent ground report by Mr. Philip! ....Great to see Mr. Philip doing such outstation videos more often. At 11:56 its quite funny when Mr. Philip says "this is an Israeli System, manufactured by of course ELBIT " ... as if he were talking about Camcorders, of course Sony.... That's Mr. Philip, of course the -all-things-defense junkie 😉
7
That's what I was thinking ... a girl may be groomed for years before sexual act happens... is this really informed consent?
7
Excellent episode!
7
Couldn't find the full speech program on ThePRINT ... will it made available?
7
@PRINT Fantastic program! Great Indian in Japan lens view after other very good YT channels 'Paolo from Tokyo', 'Life Where I'm From' etc about Japan as viewed from expats' perspective...
