@stephenjenkins7971 putin wants 1999/2000 borders, not 1991. it's fair enough
2
@stephenjenkins7971 1999 earliest. america has bases and outposts in NATO countries. ukraine will leave russia exposed
2
no, USA will definitely intercept. america never passes on any opportunity to assert power
2
century of humiliation is debatable but kinda dumb. does qing even count? i think chiang started the century of humiliation phrase. considering the first one, a second one won't happen soon. manchu people aren't really in control of the country and the nationalist republic was ok during ww2.
2
America can’t collapse internally so it will collapse externally somehow
2
basically, USA has a hand over Russia after Putin’s death? RIP Russia
2
really depends on who implemented better
2
he's really trying to push something
2
great, another ww1 reference. totallyy never heard of this comparison ever....
2
US can easily be exhausted from war if there are high casualties on the american side, but that doesn't stop them from starting another one (resetting domestic opinion)
2
russia can take a little bit of land if they really wanted to, but better if ukraine is within russian sphere
2
it's better if russia remake the ukrainian government to fit into the russian sphere
2
America did try to counter China over the past 20-30 years, but each US president keep bouncing on each other, delaying or counteracting policies
2
war offloads a high number of people around the current areas but due to war, people want more children, thus higher rate of people
2
bigger size doesn't mean stronger, kid
2
fantasyland sure is nice
2
would have taken greater leadership to keep the USSR together during that time
1
the island will fall to china down the line, not sure how long it will take but it sure will fall
1
just have ukraine in russian sphere
1
nah, USA is really good at establishing sister republics. see japan, germany, and iraq. they are independent, but are also dependent on the united states. it would be in others' best interest to follow the US's example in establishing sister republics. they can also be called junior allies.
1
dead island is dead, no surprise there
1
depends on context. i bet the island is dead meat
1
depends on the face of the system
1
@damienchall8297 america has a hand over the eu. USA is the main player, EU is secondary
1
Russia isn’t in much of a crisis, Russia’s stability is in check
1
takes a lot of investment from initial cost and maintenance, due to russian environment
1
@lollllolll. the island will be taken down the line, not sure when though. but will happen eventually
1
a centralized military for the EU is not a good idea at all, better to standardize across the board while keeping armies somewhat unique
1
@tonymatic1704 how are European countries supposed to wiggle out of America’s arm without being noticed? I think they’re stuck in NATO (especially the big players)
1
big disaster for russia. china, specifically proper region, will then be a junior ally of america. then, the push begins
1
@joshjohnson2600 many powers don’t have military alliances. USA has many alliances or “friends” because they are all juniors, they follow what America does
1
US is the controller of the alliance, america is the senior
1
in victoria ii, a fascist america has the confederate flag. therefore, technically fascist i guess.
1
Canada isn't walking beside the US in the global stage, Canada is merely walking behind USA. countries that just follow a great power don't usually become a serious power themselves.
1
land of mexico is most unpredictable for the US. i think the land has potential to threaten america in the future. once stabilized tho
1
finland was working closely with america during the cold war. not necessarily within the US sphere, but nevertheless cooperating
1
looks like soldiers on the island lack morale. even if they had geographic advantage and more resources and better tech, low morale will surely lead to the fall of the island
1
you watch too much fg media
1
the island should just disappear
1
better to have ukraine within russian sphere than for russia to just take a bite out of ukraine and let them go
1
@polecat7377 if money dries up or a new gov tries to take them out, what will happen then? if the country collapses, they’ll keep working underground?
1
@polecat7377 good points, thanks
1
you mean, contribute to NATO to disrupt Russia's attempt to effectively secure its border
1
@Mircea076 nonsense
1
yeah, everything relies on the US for this scenario. either way, island is dead
1
opportunists will definitely try to seize power in those two regions. right now, the regions are heavily subsidized by the government, giving them more resources. the regions are poor on their own
1
i don't think china will take taiwan this decade. but, later on, the island will fall to china
1
you're looking at individual presidents rather than the whole federal government. big mistake. the US government will definitely intervene, it's an opportunity for them after all
1
@CaesarGB not if they keep being a junior under america. japan will have to backstab the usa to attempt a Japanese empire 2.0
1
The Junior theory states that Europe cannot ditch the United States. Political will and growth are just not there in Europe
