Sure its deadly to people with compromised immune systems but when you have a 99.9% recovery rate amongst the healthy and the inverse for mortality one simply cannot term Covid 19 as a deadly disease. I can understand this attitude months ago but the data is in. The Wu flu is more contaigous but less lethal than the flu. Oh and FYI, covid has the chance to mutate and go full spanish flu so sorry. 0.0001% is not catastrophic. Quite the inverse really in that this could have been far far worse. There is an Ebola outbreak in Africa again, now that would be catastrophic if it broke out into the wider world. And where I am the across demographic fatality rate, as per official UK government stats, is about 1% so not sure where claims of 3-4% are coming from. Oh and given the corraltion between employment and suicide there is an argument for knee jerk reactions to covid killing more than covid will for years to come. So there's that as well. Basically, it'sd time to let the healthy go about their business and shield the vunerable. Pretty much what we do every winter season :/

I prefer a good story that is grounded in reality which then allows me to suspend my disbelief. Tolkien nailed that. As does many an author/director/content creator that grounds things in reality as opposed to first wold progressive dogma. Anything that includes "reflects the modern world we live in" as a defense of something should be cast out of hand for the propa it is.

For one it's rude to just go around begging for likes in other comment creators comment sections and second it's a bit pathetic which is not a good look. Finally WTF is that autotuned trash on your channel? If that is what you want to create then just stop now cos you aint got it. Either work on it till you got it (preferably without making the rest of us suffer as you learn) or find something else to do as a content creator. Oh and you really don't need a professional camera these days. Smart phone/ webcams combined with proper lighting and audio is all you need.

  17. I have not bought a AAA title since Fallout 4 was on a 50% off steam sale back in 2015 I think. Oh and DOOM and DOOM Eternal cos, well. They slapped. As is I still have not even gotten the Deadspace Remake cos screw you EA. Until I see Dungeon Keeper back and done right they can shove off. And even then I’d pour one out for Westwood Studios.

  21. I absolutely loath any modern fight scenes like at 4:45. Now I realise most people are sheltered these days so have never had a proper beat down in their life so have littel understanding of the reality of physics in relation to fighting via the mass difference between a man and a woman. However it is an immersion ruiner for me when you get scrawny women demolisihing not only men but men trained in violence. I'm 6 ft 2" with only some light fighting experiance having growin up in the white ghettoes aka council estates of Northern England and frankly, so long as I was not dumb about it, even a black belt ju jitsu female opponent would get curb stomped by me in a street fight. And even if they did get me on the ground they would have a hard time overpowering my beer bellied but higher muscle fibre density and overall mass. Female boxer? Likewise, so long as I respected my opponent's technical skill it would be a quick fight due to me being able to tank their best easier than they could mine. But according to Hollywierd any woman can go up against any man. Yeah. That's not the real world and it takes me outta the movie. Fantasy/magic stuff has always gotten a pass in that regard but now they expect the same magical bullshit to fly in the more grounded flicks. Fuck orf m8. EDIT. I mean when the Brits deployed tanks the Krauts just made what amounted to a 50 cal rifle that allowed a two man team to effectively take on tanks. Dumb scenes with no thought for cannon, continutity or logic really take me out of a film.

  41. I never really liked Star Wars. Sure the lightsabers were cool and the set piece battle scenes were even cooler but as far as stories go? Absolute meh. However even I, as someone in the same age range as The Drinker as well as a slew of other well known purveyors of media content, feel a lot of nostalgia for a time wherein Star Wars was a cultural bulwark. Nay. A lodestone of western cultural gestalt. What happened? Id pol nonsense is what happened. Where once I laughed at the downfall of Star Wars now I weep. But then again Amazon dun did my Lord of The Rings dirty so now maybe I share some camaraderie for those who saw their beloved IP fall to id pol nonsense.
