  18.  @odizzido  Hydro is the cheapest. Then Coal is cheaper. Natural gas is next. Then oil. Then wind. And finally solar is one of the most expensive. Wholesale is $1 per watt. However, installed is $4 per watt when the inverters and wire are added in. At 6 hours a day sun and 20 year life, it only makes $5.6 over the life of the equipment. Investing that $4 in an equity with 5% return is $53 over the same period.
