@Strofi Kornego Look, I think it'd just be easier to get the agreement of the the other 27 countries to leave the UK.

I disagree with your analysis Phil. Labour have been brexit enablers, they didn't leave the Tories to own the mess they didn't abstain they actually voted FOR Johnsons WA and compounded it with the cynical moronic Make Brexit Work slogan. You said that the public don't vote for parties who seem out of touch but they also don't vote for parties who are divided and right from the start Labour has been hopelessly divided on brexit and they still are. You also said that the public are fickle (which they are) so I believe the correct strategy would have been to plant your flag on your hill and leave it in no doubt as to where you stand, then when brexit does its work and the political pendulum swings (as it inevitably does) you will be there for a desperate public to flee into your arms, this has the added benefit of being more aligned with the Lib-Dems making a working relationship easier.

@tohellorbarbados7119 Yes Liz and Priti the doting grans. 😨

@anglonorse2943 Fascism wasn't defeated by judges.

Soon Scotland will be lost to England permanently.

The Australian model is scorched earth.
6
The Overton window can swing off it's hinges but it's still English exceptionalism to think it's their decision to rejoin.

Ah yes the old philosophical question, red or blue pill. Socrates thought an unexamined life was one not worth living, otherwise you may as well be just a pig with your head in the trough blissfully content right up until the hour they come to cut your throat (as must happen to us all).

What international standing does the UK have?
5
Why would anyone need the permission of their abuser to leave an abusive relationship?
5
@stonehengemaca This entertainment fashion of modern politics is a result of the ultra cynical Gen X coming of age, like brexit it will be a drunken party for awhile until the musics stops, humanity wakes up with an almighty hangover, looks around at the mess, eventually some adult will have to clean it up and pay the bills.
5
@garyshepherd9367 We're at breaking point, sound familiar?
5
He also pointed out that 500 years of English foreign policy was to ensure that no Continental power became strong enough to united Europe against it, Farage succeed where Phillip 11 Napoleon and Hitler failed. 😂
5
@sproutandkidneysoup2296 But don't you think it's a valid criticism? Even amongst well meaning English people like Phil there is an expectation that the UK will simply "have to rejoin the EU" and in Phil's case he thinks that they should have a say on whether Scotland should be independent (I'm not British btw so I'm not emotionally involved I come from a reason perspective). There is something in the English character (I have a theory that it relates to post empire trauma) that sneers at "excitable" foreigners with their rebellions revolutions and banana republics but the last 6 years has taught us that fascist coups can happen anywhere. I understand the desperation of your situation but there is no quick fix, England will have undergo nothing less than a cultural revolution in it's society and reform it's democratic system because it's not up to 21st century standards.
5
@gileshalliwell3591 Agreed, he is way too cautious and conservative by nature, he is not the right person to seize the opportunity a large majority has granted him, to take the extreme measures needed to repair the damage of 14 years of Tory rule and brexit.
5
We just need Rupert Murdoch gone next.
5
@philipcrossley1279 Vote Davros! It couldn't be much worse........
5
Those who aren't prepared to fight for freedom and democracy deserve neither freedom nor democracy.
5
@panzerkami2381 The very same, they're fattening up.
5
I don't Know which will taste worse. 😂
5
Max Robespierre described him as Kim Jong Un with a crap haircut.

Get in the queue behind Ukraine.

*English.
5
🤣 You win the internet today Sam.
5
Maybe the gardening program had a lettuce patch to show how the next Tory leader was coming along?
5
@glyptodon_ch 'I read somewhere that he might not be allowed to because of the ancient law banning suits of armour in the House.' But racists liars criminals and traitors are fine?
5
She was thinking the same as Cameron before and Sunak after her with Braverman, "better to have them inside the tent pissing out than outside pissing in with Farage"
5
And 6 years on from the referendum.
5
I listened to Mark Carney on The Rest is Politics. Trump has turned you blokes from teddy bears to grizzly bears lol.
5
Search Sir Les Pattison "cultural attache".
5
Making brexit work instead of getting brexit done. 🤪
5
"IRA: itching for a reason to suspend peace" Stupid statement, theres no need for armed struggle anymore, now that the UK has voted to virtually dissolve itself. The sordid history of nearly 900 years of British involvement in Irish affairs is nearly at an end.
5
It's strange that someone as knowledgeable of British and especially Labour party politics as Phil still thinks that any largest party would change a system that delivers them 100% of power.
5
Phil, you obviously understand that if brexit happens it will be Corbyns fault, how do you reconcile this with your desperate call for the Remain parties to fall in behind this brexit bozo?
5
And they aren't mad they're eccentric......
5
Priti Ugli.
5
At least you'd be part of the Single market.
5
There is no rejoin, there is no single market.
5
@ellied.violet7372 Fake Candida. At Max Robespierre its posts would be deleted.
5
Brexit is a roaring success, Scotland will soon be free and Ireland will soon be reunited.
5
Rinse and repeat....
5
@ Fat Hobbit Many humans are simple lazy creatures they instinctively go for the easy solution the low hanging fruit, thats what religion is it gives you all the answers so you don't need to think and brexit like other ideologies are forms of religions too. Theres no point arguing facts, its faith that matters in religion.
5
That's how the unionists in the Scottish independence debate will try to derail the process, by trolling and demanding to know what specific kind of independence do you want?
5
Phil: Trumps term is going to end. Phils trust in the US public is astonishing.
5
@jaypee6061 But is the Union fully committed to you?
5
Well we don't care about anything you comment and you are obviously impervious to information so it begs the question- Why are you here?
5
@cowbanchalam9725 And 80% of Wehrmacht casualties were inflicted by the Red Army, so with the USA paying for the materials and the USSR paying in blood everyone knows who won the war.
5
@jayklink851 Don't worry, she'll give the contract to Tory donors and they'll never be delivered.
5
Moronic comment. So because the Israelis have more sophisticated weapons it somehow gives them a higher moral ground?
5
@aleph8888 Yep all the high standard of living best you lot stay out, you're not happy unless you're miserable.
