  1. It was the League of Nations which granted the Jewish people the legal right to reconstitute their ancestral homeland in 1922. When the United Nations took over from the League of Nations in 1945 it ratified that agreement. Then the violent Arabs were given the chance to have a state alongside the Jewish one, and they rejected that chance. Now they've forfeited any right to a state of their own. #OneJewishState is the best chance now, where Arabs are given 'permanent residence status' in Israel, but not national voting rights.

  2. Nonsense. DNA clinics are everywhere in Israel. For some genetic tests such as for paternity you will need a court order because testing infringes on other family members’ medical privacy. And DNA is not a criteria for being #indigenous to the Holy Land in the way that the Jewish people are. They are still Jews even when they’ve been displaced for centuries …🙏💙🇮🇱

The Ottoman Empire joined Germany in the First World War against the British & Allies, and they were defeated in October 1918. The League of Nations made Britain the caretakers of Mandated Palestine in the interim period. Today that area is split into countries of Jordan and Israel. The Arabs have self-determination now over 99% of that Ottoman land which was liberated by the British & Allies, ie. Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria and Jordan. Israel was officially granted their own country by the League of Nations in 1947 on less than 1% of that liberated Ottoman Caliphate land. Within minutes of declaring independence, the surrounding Arab nations went to war against them. Israel won this war, and they won the subsequent wars, and they have increased their area of control to ensure security of their ancestral homeland (as promised in the Balfour Agreement due to their support to the British & Allies in WWI). I'm totally fine with the Jews being rulers of the Holy Land today. It's a very important strategic and ideological place in the world to billions of people, and Israel is there to stay. It's not illegal. The move in the Arab and Islamic world towards normalisation of relations with Israel (Abraham Accords) is only going to grow stronger. Palestinians who do NOT accept Israeli rule should be resettled in other Arab countries, like millions of others who have been resettled over the last 100 years (India-Pakistan being the largest displacement of people). The so-called Palestinians are being used as pawns in the game by the Islamic world.

They have had their ancestral homeland returned to them through the actions of the Islamic world going to war against the West. The Arabs today have self-determination on more than 99% of the collapsed Ottoman Caliphate land. Those Arabs who are still living in Israel should be resettled in the surrounding countries if they refuse to accept rule by the Jews. 20% of Israeli citizens are Arabs who chose to accept Jewish leadership, and they are in the top levels of politics, education, science, business, health, etc. today. Stop portraying these Arab 'Palestinians' as #victims in the game against the Jews. Millions of people have been displaced over the last 100 years, including 850,000 Jews who were expelled from Arab lands, and millions of Indians-Pakistanis. They have all gotten on with their lives and today don't cry victimhood or complain about 'oppression, cruelty and inhuman behaviour'. Rule of law prevails in Israel, and it can be harsh if you don't abide by it.

They invaded and occupied the land known as Palestine in 634-638, but they lost control in 1918 after going to war against the Western powers. The Israel of today is legal according to the United Nations. It is growing in economic and political power, and the trend is for normalisation of relations with Islamic countries. If the Creator of the Universe deems Israel as arrogant and unfit then we will see a decline. Until then, if you want to keep playing the #victim that's fine but be sure you understand what you are doing to yourself.

And one-fifth of Israeli citizens are Arabs who accepted life in a Jewish state, and who get equal rights under the law. Those Arabs who were hostile to the Jewish people having their own state should by now have been resettled in Arab countries or further abroad. That's how all #displaced people around the world have been treated with the EXCEPTION of the so-called 'Palestinians'. Why are they a special case?

I'm tired of the 'Palestinians' being treated as a special case when genuine indigenous people like the Kurds got nothing.

  15. What a horrible tragedy. If the Arabs in Palestine had accepted the UN's partition plan, and the five surrounding Arab countries not attacked the newly-proclaimed country of Israel, things could have been very different. All wars and conflicts involve atrocities and create refugees.

  16.  @HaithamYousef-j9j : I'm not assuming anything. The fact is that Israel is a sovereign nation TODAY and it controls who gets citizenship, like any other sovereign nation. The Jewish people were acknowledged in 1920 at The League of Nation's San Remo Conference as the #indigenous people of the Holy Land. That vote passed *unanimously*. Israel's first priority TODAY is to protect ALL of its citizens, including the minorities, and to ensure they have equal rights under the law and freedom of worship.  I don't put much weight on religious texts but I thought it was worthwhile reminding Muslims that their god says the Holy Land was for "the children of Israel". If Israel's lineage is not 'ethnic', then what is it?

Thankfully, a growing number of Islamic nations have seen the light and they are now normalising relations with Israel. All countries have the right to grant citizenship as they see fit, especially where overall security of their country is concerned. PS: can Jews live in Gaza?   25. Apparently they were given a short notice period of eviction before power and water was cut off and their homes demolished. I agree they should have been assisted to find new homes. Apparently compensation is being given to those who had legal title to their properties, but many are probably renting or squatting and not the property owners.

The #indigenous Jews were given less than 1% of the land, which is their ancestral home, and 21% of Israeli citizens are Arabs who accepted Jewish rule. More than 99% of the ex-Ottoman land was given to Arabs for their own self-rule, ie. the countries of Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Jordan. Any Arabs who resist Jewish rule should go and live in one of those Arab countries. What point have I missed? #IndigenousRights

  28. It seems EXTREMELY naive to talk about "promises" or "double dealings" in a time of The Great War. Britain was never going to relinquish the Holy Land to Arabs, especially when it's clearly the ancestral home of the indigenous Jewish people who supported the Allied Powers in WWI. The Holy Land of Israel has great geopolitical and ideological value to the Judeo-Christian west. What would have happened if the Germans-Ottomans had won the war? Would the Ottoman Turks, who had occupied the land for the past 400 years, have given it up for self-determination to the indigenous Arabs, Jews and others who currently lived there? Would they have broken up the Ottoman Middle East land and given 99% of it to the Arabs, as we see today in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Jordan? I don't think so. The Allied Powers were under no international legal conventions to do so at that time but they did. The BEST outcome has been achieved, so make the most of it. Israel comprises less than 1% of the Ottoman Middle East land and the Jews share it with one-fifth Arab Israel citizens who have #equal rights under the law, and freedom of worship.

Before 1948, the word Palestinian referred only to the Jewish people who lived in the British Mandate of Palestine.

The group that I taught English to were offered repatriation (flight and money) and some were happy to accept that. Otherwise they are only granted 'temporary residence' status and that doesn't always convert to citizenship so they are left in limbo.

  50. I hope they'll also tell them about the Arab Revolts of 1936-39 against the British administration of the Mandate for Palestine. And that the Arab nations refused to accept the new state of Israel so they attacked, telling those Arabs living in Palestine who didn't want to live in a Jewish state that they should flee and come back when all the Jews had been *annihilated*. They should also learn that a greater number of Jews were exiled from the Arab lands and left behind millions of dollars worth of property and businesses. That was the Jewish #nakba. One more thing that should be emphasised is that TODAY over two million Arab Israeli citizens have #equal rights with the indigenous Jews in Israel, and #freedom of worship. Their families accepted life in a Jewish state in 1948. They are the luckier ones.
