  5.  @schloops8473  There is already help for people in need. I would be for expanding some of those programs. And not for cutting jobs that people rather have than his UBI that would pay them less than their jobs do. It's not my understanding that the large amount of UBI is financed by the wealthy when Yang has mentioned social programs that he figures people will opt out of for UBI would pay for some of it then the VAT tax which can be debated on who that will hit. Point is if you are ok with the wealthy getting it then you are entitled to think that. If you are ok with Yang making people on social security choose for whatever reason you are entitled to think that but there is a lot of people that disagree with that including Mike on Humanist Report who while not in this video but in others have said that he doesn't support Yang as much as some of the other candidates because of that. How Would Andrew Yang's UBI Proposal Impact People on Social Security? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3oZr6arNhw Around 2:50 in the video Mike: "But that still begs the question why would someone for example on Social Security disability HAVE TO CHOOSE why would they not get as much as someone whose making a hundred thousand a year do you kind of see so there's just the disconnect and I'm hoping you can fill me in on that if I'm genuinely misunderstanding?" Yang replied, "No no well your understanding of it is CORRECT" "...Does it do as much for someone who's already receiving Social Security and other benefits? It does not do as much for those households and to me that's like a separate PROBLEM we have to tackle and solve which is that Social Security is suppose to go insolvent..." Yadda Yadda Yadda. Lift the cap and that problem is resolved! Yang sure does acknowledge problems with some of his policies that he should had worked out before proposing them! YANG ON MEDICARE FOR ALL..... He Is not definitely just for Medicare for ALL if you listen to him closely and at his website "or through creating a new healthcare system" What ever that means! Unless he changes that's not a direct commitment to Medicare for all! YANG ON VAT TAX......... Yang supports UBI paid for thru a VAT (value added tax) Yang even notes at his website: and yes this is at his website! "PROBLEMS TO BE SOLVED Corporations move money around to avoid paying their fair share of taxes The burden of paying for social services falls disproportionately on those who earn the least The Freedom Dividend should be funded by those who benefit most from the structure and work of society" He shouldn't endorse a tax that he know has problems and I doubt seriously he will care about solving them! https://www.moneycrashers.com/whats-is-your-opinion-about-a-value-added-tax/ CNN Town Hall with Yang......30:39 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WrnTBXmgqNw Yang is asked "As president you would appoint a news and information OmBudsman who would have the power to punish those who are seeking to misinform the American public and you say there should be penalties for persistent and destructive mis statements that undermine public discourse do you really think you should police speech" Yang replied, "Well, right now we are on the verge of a very difficult time so Americans can't trust what we see and this and this is before deep fakes hit the Internet where they can literally just doctor it so you and I have a conversation and it seems like we're saying whatever it is they want us to say and there are foreign actors are maliciously actually corrupting our democratic processes and then frankly having a good laugh about it like on the other side of the world like their investing a relatively modest sum of money and their seeing it's causing havoc so as a society what is the greater danger here is the greater danger that we're just going to descend into cacophony and no one can even agree on the facts anymore because in this day and age it'd be extraordinary hard for the gov. to somehow curb or sensor in systematic way but we have to be able to sort out people who are maliciously informing the American people and that to me is a much greater danger that we face right now" Then Yang is asked "How do YOU POLICE THAT?" You can listen to the rest of his answer. I didn't say that was at his website but that is in the interview with him.

  6.  @schloops8473  You have given your opinions on his policies and I have given mine based on his words. I don't agree with you and you don't agree with me. I won't vote for him in the primary or the general. As for his words on M4all having at HIS WEBSITE I quoted the exact words there. Some yang supporters don't even know some of his policies and that's a fact by the ones that asked me to post proof and when I did even if they still agreed they admitted they didn't know it. In addition to all of that he does not even have a political record for anyone to know what he would really do or not! I don't trust anyone coming out of nowhere throwing free money to most everyone to get their votes. Now, that is my opinion based solely on my opinion but I have enough about his policies that are facts that I wouldn't vote for him anyways! He should had ran for local office first like most politicians do and built up a record for people to know if he is just talking the talk or having walked the walk! He is not experienced, either, in all of the areas it takes to run a country! Some people are on the streets because they choose to be! I know people getting assistance through low rent housing, etc. Some are out of work lazy because they don't want to work and that's a fact, too! I'm not interested in helping people that don't help their self if they are physically able to work. If you think this country can fund all of Yang's over 100 policies think again LOL It's been hard enough to try to get medical coverage for everyone that can't help being sick that don't have the money for medical bills. Those are the ones I want to help and to create jobs for people that are willing to earn a living but not by throwing free money at everyone regardless if they can work or not. You don't care about those jobs Yang would cut but the people working on those jobs do! People take advantage of the system already in place and that's a fact so don't tell me there wouldn't be more people taking advantage of it if they had free money thrown there way.

  21.  @cp987  Let me help you know what I see in Bernie! Bernie pushed the Stop Bezos Act to increase minimum wage. Disney followed suit after Bernie protested in Anaheim. Six states have moved in that direction. 3 states — New Jersey, Illinois and Maryland — have enacted legislation phasing-in a minimum wage of $15 an hour. California, Massachusetts and New York are the other 3 states that have passed legislation that gradually increases the state minimum wage to $15. He recently got the vote passed for a bill to halt the Yemen War. This is the guy who wanted to break up the big banks and predicted the collapse of 2008. He was against the Bank bail outs. He wants to stop military funding increases and predicted the false-pretense war in Iraq & the rise of extremists (ISIS) 10 years ahead. He predicted the Patriot Act/NSA would break laws to invade our privacy. He wanted to prevent NAFTA/TPP He voted against the Patriot Act while just about all of the others voted for it. Don't pretend to be for our freedoms if you are not speaking out against all of the politicians that voted for it. Bernie is known as Amendment King. Those Amendments count as accomplishments, too! I'm not saying I agree with every amendment that he has helped pass. I am simply noting this because of all the people that say Bernie has accomplished nothing when he clearly has! As chair of the Senate Veterans affairs committee Sanders helped pass VA health care system reform in 2014. He also predicted the Panama Papers tax evasion scandal. He predicted the tax breaks would cut into Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and he was right. This level of intuition, and his abilities as a strategist, are what I believe we need in a president. https://m.dailykos.com/stories/2015/11/28/1453742/-5-Times-Bernie-Sanders-Foresaw-The-Future? He's been a public servant for the people for over 40 years. How many candidates do you know that have a similar congressional record? Who else brought these campaign ideas that everyone is holding into the mainstream? Bernie is a natural catalyst that incites change. And he's changing it from the ground-up, not top-down. He's walking the picket line with workers. He took a lot of people to Canada to get their meds cheaper since they couldn't afford them here. He did that years ago then again recently. Senator Sanders has the best voting record of any candidate on war and peace issues, especially on military spending. Opposing the oversized Pentagon budget, he has only voted for 3 out of 19 military spending bills since 2013. By this measure, no other candidate comes close, including Tulsi Gabbard. In other votes on war and peace, Sanders voted as requested by Peace Action 84% of the time from 2011 to 2016, despite some hawkish votes on Iran from 2011-2013. Bernie challenges the military industrial complex and HAS BEEN CHALLENGING THEM for decades. In terms of stopping the war in Yemen, Sanders has been a hero. Over the past year, he and Senators Murphy and Lee have led a sustained effort to shepherd his historic War Powers bill on Yemen through the Senate. Congressman Ro Khanna, whom Sanders has chosen as one of his 4 campaign co-chairs, has led the parallel effort in the House. Of course, Trump vetoed it. https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Bernie_Sanders http://www.triplepundit.com/story/2015/burlington-vermont-leads-charge-100-percent-renewable-energy/57641 https://www.mynbc5.com/article/report-vermont-ranked-as-best-place-to-live-in-america/22108021 http://www.triplepundit.com/story/2015/burlington-vermont-leads-charge-100-percent-renewable-energy/57641 Bernie CLOBBERS Opponents On Trade & Outsourcing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dd65h7h5HGI Proof Bernie Is A BOSS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yP194CAavys Ben Shapiro & Tucker Carlson Are 100% CORRECT About Bernie Sanders https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nko9CHjuVo8 He has always been for gay rights! He has always been for civil rights! He has always been for a woman's right to choose! He has always been for everyone's rights even before some of them were politically popular! He has always voted against any bills that would take our freedoms away such as the Patriot Act and the more recent anti-BDS Senate bill that even though he is against the movement because it threatened freedom of speech he voted against it. He spoke out against the peaceful Natives being brutalized at Standing Rock when none of the other candidates did except Tulsi. He has always spoken out against Social Security and Medicare cuts! Even when Obama and Biden proposed it with just about every Dem on board. He has always been against bad trade deals. He has always been for Medicare for all. He has always been for raising the min wage. He has voted for the least Military Budget increases than the other politicians have! That looks pretty consistent to me. Seattle, one of the cities to more recently raise the minimum wage to $15, has seen large increases in employment and income. According to MyNorthwest.com, not only have many of the businesses who opposed the increase seen higher employment numbers, some are even opening additional locations. In 2014, a study by the Center for Economic and Policy Research found that the 13 states that increased the minimum wage saw employment numbers increase faster than states that did not, an average of 0.85 percent compared to 0.61 percent in the other 37 states. 27.  kingtut777  President Donald Trump has significantly increased the number of drone strikes in places the US is not technically at war, In former President Barack Obama's first two years in office, the US conducted 186 drone strikes in Yemen, Somalia, and Pakistan, where the US is engaged in "shadow wars." In 2017 alone, Trump oversaw 130 drone strikes in Yemen, more than three times the year prior. When Trump vetoed the stop the war in Yemen, YES, he is responsible for killing innocent people! Comparatively, in 2017 and 2018 so far, Trump has launched 238 drone strikes in these countries, https://nordic.businessinsider.com/trump-has-expanded-obamas-drone-war-to-shadow-war-zones-2018-11?r=US&IR=T Surveys Find Outsourcing Continues to Grow under Trump Administration https://inhomelandsecurity.com/outsourcing-trump-administration/ Trump campaigned on: The country's infrastructure "will become, by the way, second to none, and we will put millions of our people back to work as we rebuild it", he said in his victory speech in November. 29.  @MK-oz2lf  Hogwash! You do what's best for the country and if you feel one person is better than the other that's who you endorse! Which by the way is exactly what the majority of Bernie voters expect him to do if he loses. I hear their applause when he says if he loses he will support the nominee AND hear some of his supporters say it, too. You won't convince me Bernie wasn't already for a lot of his policies for decades as I have listened to him in videos from decades ago which by the way Tulsi's not the same as Bernie on domestic policies anyways! If you think her foreign policy is better Codepink would disagree with you as do I. No one caring about what's best for this country would had wanted him to split the vote giving Trump the win and for sure Bernie wouldn't do anything to risk that. Bernie DID address the rigging so you don't need to lie about that! It doesn't help your cause any at all. Tulsi also defended Biden's racist record and Ellen being friends with a war monger! Now, don't misquote me (not saying you will) as I didn't say Tulsi defended a war monger. I said she defended Ellen being friends with one. STOP ACTING LIKE TULSI IS PERFECT! Many of you bashed Bernie too death for not going Independent when Tulsi said basically the SAME THING about not going Independent as Bernie did about wanting to change the Dem party! Such hypocrites! Do you even know how many Bernie supporters people like you have lost that were also supporting Tulsi? Not that you care but a lot. Keep on smearing Bernie. People like you make me regret all the people I got to donate to her in the beginning months to help get her on the debate stage. There is comments of mine posted on youtube channels, too, especially Ron Paul's channels back then proving I was trying to get them, too, to donate to her to get her anti wars voice on the debate stage. Bernie's not perfect but neither is Tulsi! But Bernie comes close to my views on the polices he's been consistent with for decades. He sure didn't have to evolve on any of them, either, like Tulsi did.
    1
  30.  @MK-oz2lf  You can google codepink just like I did and read their facts on Bernie, Tulsi, and others! Wasn't it Greg Palast that went off on Bernie having won but then backed off of that changing to the general talking about Hillary actually won more votes than she was given credit for? If not there was someone that did? But it didn't matter because super delegates could choose the nominee in the first round so Bernie wasn't going to come off as a sore loser. I remember how Gore's own supporters did him when he wanted the recounts. Let people speak out, protests, on changing our voting system. Bernie called out the rigging and with him being for the same policies for decades that I'm also for that's good enough for me! Blah Blah Blah, Tulsi did defend Biden's racist record. "Elizabeth Warren Kamala Harris — Joe Biden did not "celebrate" or “coddle” segregationists. His critics have unfairly misrepresented his important message to score cheap political points. I agree with Jim Clyburn and Joe Biden " https://www.facebook.com/TulsiGabbard/posts/2383774268345645?comment_id=2383831881673217&comment_tracking=%7B"tn"%3A"R"%7D Blah blah blah again on defending Tulsi for defending Ellen being friends with a war criminal. If I was for Tulsi's polices none of that would matter but my point is she says and does things that if I wanted to look at that instead of her policies I could find just as much fault with her as you are with Bernie. I don't defend the parts of Bernie's record I disagree with. I don't go off on an endless rant about Tulsi doing the same as someone else that I don't go off on a rant for. You are making excuses why it's ok for Tulsi to run in a corrupt party, not go Independent while bashing Bernie for not going Independent. And you ask me how are you implying Tulsi is perfect LOL More blah blah blah on Tulsi's past. I have defended her past with the same as you have but no longer do since you all want to bash Bernie then you can do all of the defending Tulsi yourselves. Yes, I regret helping get Tulsi on the debate stage after finding out she's not for the same policies I am AND with all of the Bernie bashing! But even with smearing Bernie like you have I wouldn't regret defending Tulsi, trying to get her on the debate stage if I agreed with her domestic policies. As for Dem Socialist VS Social Dem, I don't like labels! I go by policies. Bernie gave HIS meaning to why he's a Dem Socialist and with all of the different types him explaining what it means to him and that I agree with is fine with me but if I had my rather's with all of the confusion over Socialism I would had rather he just called himself a progressive. I could give you videos 3 years old of Bernie calling out the rigging but it is irrelevant to rehash the same crap. As soon as I saw it was Jimmy Dore as divisive as he is (Republicans love to repeat his crap, too) and Debbie that has gone off the deep end I didn't listen to the rest. I don't listen to Dore anymore. I know all about growing up in a conservative household having left the Republican party just to vote for Bernie. I would had left sooner if there had been someone sooner with a consistent record Bernie has on the issues I agree with him on. I don't agree with Bernie on everything but he comes closer to my views than any of the others having a CONSISTENT record on those views to show me he will fight for them! NO one and I do mean no one has any stronger backbone on the voting floor as Bernie does. Feel free to waste your time some more! I don't get side tracked off of policies to stop supporting the candidate I agree with the most.

  43.  Gregory Martinek  I don't agree with his policies! From the beginning such a turn off that he would give UBI to all the wealthy people in addition to their incomes but make seniors and veterans on social security choose. I have the video with his words to verify that was his position to start with AND YES HE FLIPPED when he saw he was losing a lot of votes. Some yang supporters say well it's good he listened to the people BUT how many candidates ran on doing what people wanted and then went back on it? That was a big turn off to me from the start. He shouldn't had to see he was losing votes to know he shouldn't had that position to start with! Then even though he changed on SSA he didn't on SSI and other welfare assistance having to choose UBI or their current incomes. As I have stated I am not on welfare but I know people that are and they won't opt out. Yang said some of the savings from those that opt out would pay for some of the costs of UBI. No doubt some will opt out but it's total speculation on how many that he is using to determine how much of that will pay for UBI. Then while in some interviews he says he won't eliminate social and welfare assistance then in another one he does say he would eliminate them but just "not all at once." UBI could hurt poor people more than it helps! I am totally against UBI for the wealthy! He has flipped on other issues. Wishy washy on Medicare for all which we need more than we do UBI and I do not believe both would pass. I think it would end up being like Charles Murray's version of UBI. I don't trust Yang and that's just about the nicest way I can say it. He should had ran for local office FIRST and got a record so people could know what he is really all about. Yang even acknowledged there are problems to be solved with the VAT. I don't trust him to solve them. I disagree with him not being for raising the min wage. There is more but this is long enough lol

  46.  Gregory Martinek  Yes, some of those are extreme cases on how much welfare they get but some still get that much and I gave a website that gave the averages, too, not just the extremes! I'm not sure what the site you gave figures into what they wrote the average monthly payments are but most likely including those that have incomes from other sources which would make welfare assistance a lot lower for them! But I know for a fact JUST SSI can be a lot more than that for someone that has no other income and of course depending on family size how much they get and if any other income that other family members get that live in the same house! That's not counting food stamps, energy assistance, housing assistance, transportation allowances, someone social services sends in the home for those that qualify for that, and other cash like programs so there is a lot of families that get a heck of a lot more than what is quoted there. The more accurate average payment should be based on no other income, families with children and/or other family members in the same house with no other income to get an accurate picture of what they would have to give up to opt into UBI. Now, I'm not going to keep on debating that when no matter how you put it, it is totally speculation on how many will opt out that Yang is using to say what the savings will be towards UBI when he should just give it on top of their incomes regardless! I don't like Yang's version, don't believe that will pass AND Medicare for all and we need Medicare for all more. He's wishy washy on Medicare for all as well as with his flips who knows what his final position will be on whatever he would propose! There is many reasons why I won't vote for him. You have centered on one and I have gave my reasons why I am not for that one but so many other reasons I have already posted. Tell me where was Yang when jobs were being out sourced? Before running for president did he ever say anything at all about any of the bad trade deals? NAFTA? TPP? What protests has he been in for gay rights? For civil rights? For anyone's rights? Any picket lines he has stood with workers on? When Obama and Biden proposed Social Security and Medicare cuts did Yang speak out against that? Since some of you yang supporters seem to think he is not going to eliminate social and welfare programs how about pointing me to when he has spoken out to protect them? Keep in mind I am talking about BEFORE he started running for President. Where was Yang when Trump did cut Social Security and Medicare? I like to know if Yang has protested against any of the wars? Other than giving people jobs which is hardly a good enough resume to be President of the United States what has he done? There are many important policies that are voted on and how a politician votes on them tells me if I want to vote for them or not. So tell me what policies has Yang voted on to show exactly where he stands on the issues? Oh, that's right he doesn't have a voting record. And then there's all of the flip flops Yang has done, too, since he started running for president. He should had ran for local office first so we could know for sure what that man is all about other than coming out of nowhere wanting to be president.
    1
  47.  @RadioFreeNorCal  LOL I probably started working at a younger age than you did if you have worked any. I promote able bodied people earning their incomes by working on jobs that's not what Yang is promoting with his free money with no strings attached! You can attack my opinions that are also the same as economists and other intelligent individuals all you want! It seems Yangers think Yang is the only intelligent person in the US. I have listened to both sides while most of you have only listened to one side. Once again a yanger is not giving the entire context as there are two forms of Social Security incomes! Yang flipped on one of them to get more votes but not on the other as in someone on SSI can not get the full amount of UBI while keeping SSI. Only someone totally disingenuous would try to say Nixon's UBI and Yang's are even similar when one would give free money to everyone as in no strings attached while the other one has strings attached. As far as Bernie's proposals we need Medicare for all MORE than we need UBI and there is no way the House and Senate would pass both. Yang has acknowledged there are problems to be solved with the VAT! If you trust him to solve those problems, fine, I do NOT! Yang comes out of nowhere, never having spoken out on many important issues before running for president, no political record to know he would do anything he says, with flip flops that no one can know for sure what his final proposals would be, it's nothing but blind trust for anyone to trust him. You choose to but I don't!! In addition to my disagreeing with his policies and some of his views.
