  3. Grass trees are a protected species, if you have them on your land you may relocate them but must remain on the property somewhere, did fencing for Pullman Bunker Bay Resort (Margaret River region) WA, 100's of them were relocated throughout the resort incorporated into the landscaping.

  6. That was Optus Stadium and Belmont Horse racing track on the Burswood Peninsula, Optus Stadium seats 60,000, and is voted most beautiful stadium in the world, no joke. Hosted the AFL grand final in 2021 during the crazy covid times.

  7. Only thing about having a high speed limit, as cool as it is, is once you are travelling over 100km/hr, your fuel consumption goes through the roof, 90 to 100 is kinda a sweet spot. And most cars are not designed to go 130 for long periods.

  8. 100% correct on extremes, it gets cold, but especially very hot, has its good side, flies mostly and a lot of spiders don't survive a heatwave, you know how bad our fly problem is. Jump in the pool, stay inside, go to the beach and tomorrow there will be no flies, for a little while anyway lol.

  10. As for chicken fast food, Red Rooter is the ugly cousin to KFC, it is not great, then we have Chicken Treat which is even worse, KFC rules the roost by a long way. Chicken Treat is the only joint that has made me sick. Although, RR do do roast chicken with peas and gravy which others don't do which isn't too bad tbh.

  11. You should look close at the South West WA, commonly known as the wheatbelt. It used to be forest, on google Earth you can clearly see the devastation from logging, for farming and hence why we have salt lakes all over the place.

  14. just watched Neil DeGrasse Tyson on why water floats, not new knowledge by any stretch, but feel the need to point out, if all the worlds oceanic ice, if it melted, would make no difference to sea level, it is only the glaciers and ice on land that will, and if they do, the level to put some perspective on it, the water wil be up to the statue of liberty's tits.

We have a massive total solar eclipse event in April 20th 2023 in WA and towns have been scrambling to prepare for 1000's and thousands of people to come and see it, they occur every couple of years but rarely over land, most of the time they are over the ocean, Kalbarri and the towns nearby are gonna get swamped. Is a complete logistics nightmare.

  25. All I know about rally sport in Aussie is the street rally sector, called Targa West. Not too far from where I live in Perth, you can go to the country town of Gidgegannup, 380 Clenton Rd, to see the memorial of the Great Peter Brock, where he tragically lost his life in a street rally September 8th 2006, He was driving a Daytona coupe. His co driver Mick Hone survived.

To be frank Australia doesn't really have a cuisine, all I can say is, if you want a true Aussie dining experience, it is our Aussie meat platter and mainly our seafood, Emu, Kangaroo, Crocodile, Lizard, and the vast array of fresh seafood we have, then we have our bush fruit, herbs and spices, everywhere does meat pies and rolls, boring.

  32. We have signs that say, 'turning vehicles must give way to pedestrians', in which I totally disagree with that law. As do most people. it is illegal to obstruct a footpath, I agree, it is also illegal to park in front of somebody's property without permission from the tennant or owner. We also have blue reflective markers on our roads that indicate an adjacent service like a water main for fire fighters for instance, you can't park there either obviously, many people don't know these laws.

There are a lot of things not taught before getting your license here in Perth, I actually asked my instructor towards the end of my tests, are we gonna do a parallel park, he said no, but we did it anyway cause I wanted to, I don't park like that these days cause I have big fourby with a canopy, not that I can't do it, I just choose not to where possible, roundabouts have to make you think, where lights just tell what to do. I avoid traffic lights as much as possible.

Independent suspension is best for touring, where they lack in articulation is fixed by diff locks, the drive comfort is far superior too, solid axle is superior for rock crawling and the more hard core tracks, but you sacrifice a comfortable ride in general. that can be somewhat fixed with airbag suspension but solid axle trucks are not designed for comfort.

Also, if you hit a roo with your car, it is policy to go back and make sure the animal is not suffering, and we are obliged to put a suffering animal out of its misery, as hard as that sounds, that is what we are required to do. I have hit two, last one was a big guy, caused over 2.5 grands of damage to my Hilux, they are not the smartest animals. they do see you and for some reason jump in front of you at last second. both my strikes were instant kills fym

  41. nope, circular track racing is like pulling teeth to me, I get it, it is great to see everything for the whole races, i have experienced sprintcars on clay, the speed and the sound and the angles really are cool, but still don't like circular track racing.

My xmas tree is super simple, it is like a 6 foot tall slinky in the shape of a tree of course, takes about ten seconds to put up, you just pick it up and attach it to its stand, decorating takes a bit obviously but it has its own built in lights, not huge into fussing with tonnes of decorations.

We burn more because we have more clear skies, pristine atmosphere, beaches and in summer we are more directly pointed towards the sun, we don't have a hole in the Ozone layer like many think, we are outdoors more and pail skin burns easily, we share the same sun as everyone else lol, it is just lifestyle.

People with English as a second language piss me off the most, especially in work or social settings, to me they are hiding something, either they're talking shit and using their first tongue to hide it, or they are embarrassed for some reason and feel like they will get judged, it is not the case, say what you want, nobody cares really, no need to hide behind language, also, it is pretty narcissistic to think we are listening in on everything you say, or care.

Redback spiders are quite invasive for a few months of summer but not at all aggressive, Snakes want nothing to do with you at all, I am more concerned with ocean critters, jellyfish, crocodiles. The vast majority of the wildlife will flee well before you see one, especially spiders and snakes. Yes we have a big percentage of the worlds most dangerous animals etc but you will rarely see them or get hurt unless you are really looking/hunting for them, Or purposely fucking with them. It is all hype mate.
