Maybe right now, communism doesn't work, because people are assumed to be greedy, selfish, etc. But maybe far ahead in future, say 1000 years, maybe human attitude improved to the point where like Confucius said, that if you see widow, orphan, disabled, etc, on the streets, humans will still care for them like one of our own.

China has the world's largest internet market, by number of internet users, and China is world's largest by vehicle production. That's why foreign companies constantly want a share of China's markets all the time. China's economy is export based, and although countries have threatened to impose taxes on Chinese goods (and even boycott Chinese goods altogether) the demand for Chinese goods remains high, and the other country's governments can't afford to risk a backlash by cutting off people's access to Chinese goods entirely. The world economy today is so interconnected, such that if China suffers a recession, then the rest of the world will be affected because of their dependence on Chinese goods.

You call it low skills, but it factors greatly into the overall cost of the product isn't it? And just because many Chinese people are working in the manufacturing sector, doesn't mean that China will forever be stuck there. Already there are phones being designed by Chinese brands, such as Xiaomi and Huawei, that are beginning to expand into markets overseas.

  37. Gloria Hahn What makes you think that you know how the social credit system works? China is a meritocracy and people are rewarded based on their performance. In the West there are people jobless people who are living on government welfare and collecting food stamps, instead of finding a job, while the people who actually working pay taxes to support such a system. China's social credit system can hopefully help to remove this problem by encouraging positive behaviour and discouraging unproductive behaviour.

In 2008, during Shenzhou-7 mission, China became the 3rd country in the world to conduct "spacewalk" where the Chinese astronaut left the spacecraft interior and venture out into the vacuum of space.
