Why you claim China has territorial conflicts with all our neighbors? China has settled boundary dispute approximately of 20,000 km with 12 countries out of the 22,000 km and is yet to settle about 2,000 km of boundary involving India and Bhutan.
-In 1961, Nepal and China signed border agreement.
-In 1962, Mongolia and China signed border agreement.
-In 1963, Afghanistan and China signed border agreement.
-In 1963, Pakistan and China signed border agreement.
-In 1991, USSR and China signed Sino-Soviet border agreement.
-In 1992, Laos and China signed border agreement.
-In 1994, Kazakhstan and China signed border agreement.
As for Bhutan and India, China has 21 talks with Bhutan and 19 talks with India but still fail to settle our countries borders.

There are many competent people in China yes, but still, you can't have all of them leading the country now can you? The government has many ongoing 5-year plans, 10-year plans, 15-year plans, 20-year plans, etc to chart out out China's future and to achieve specific goals in 2020, 2025, 2030, 2035, 2040, 2050, etc, so China needs a strong hand at the helm to see these long-term plans to fruition
But Western government such as USA, only have short term plans, because their presidential term is 4-8 years only. So at the most, the leaders can only make plans that expire after 8 years, because there is no guarantee that they'll be in power to see long term plans through. As for rebellion to remove a leader, USA has also done it before by invading Middle East and cutting off the country's heads like Muammar Gaddafi and Saddam Hussein. Next on the list appears to be the Assad Regime.

+Standardowy Login "They can read 2200 year old documents."
Some Chinese people can read books like The Analects of Confucius 论语 and Sun Zi's The Art of War 孙子兵法 written 2200 years ago directly. But can English people actually read Shakespeare's work written in Shakespearean English? Whether in "Times New Roman" or not?
" 'as Italian, French, German etc or simply European, not Roman.' When Chinese effectively discriminate against Chinese from their other provinces, this difference in strength of common identity is not so strong."
Chinese may discriminate against Chinese from other provinces, but the difference is not as potent, as say the English and the French sense of national identity.
Name change may matter so much to Europeans, but not to Chinese. Why Chinese care about Europeans who used to call themselves emperors and then changing it?
Within the Roman Empire, Christianity was banned and Christians were punished for many years. Feeding Christians to the lions was seen as entertainment in Ancient Rome.
And like it or not, Latin is considered by many scholars and linguists to be a dead language, since it is no longer alive and 'evolving' or being spoken natively by anyone.

@hadenali3714 The Ottoman Empire is no longer around today, whereas China has survived the violent passage of history to the modern day relatively intact. Chinese territories still consists of Tibet, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Manchuria, North China, South China, Hainan Islands, etc. Whereas Roman/Ottoman empire has fragmented into different independent countries like United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Egypt, Algeria, etc.

amanrehan manzer About corruption, China and India are not that far apart yes, but at least under President Xi Jinping guidance, the government is cracking down on internal corruption in the communist party. But is India actually doing anything about tackling its corruption problems?
And every businessman knows that there is always risk involved and possible failure in doing business. You can't possibly expect every business venture to always succeed, and given a large number of transactions in Belt and Road Initiative, there will be bound to be some that did not turn up quite so well. That is the natural and unavoidable part of the consequence of doing business that's all.
You talk about 'infrastructure' like its something unwanted, but 'infrastructure' was what led to China's development and growth in the first place. In African countries like Kenya, Nigeria, Angola, etc, China is building infrastructure like roads, railways, highways, schools, hotels, hospitals, powerstations, shopping centers, football stadiums and telecommunication projects. China has done much to develop Africa in decades, compared to what Westerners did in Africa for centuries.

You do not support US interventions, but it is clear that USA is attempting to spread democracy in Middle East by disposing of dictators like Muammar Gaddafi and Saddam Hussein. But what happened to those countries after their leader was gone? They became US puppets in the end. Now the USA is targeting the Assad Regime, then what do you think will happen if Assad is gone? Won't Syria become another US puppet as well, following this pattern?
As for the chemical weapons, those are just unconfirmed rumors, just like when USA invaded Iraq on suspicions of harboring WMDs, even though no WMDs was ever found after the Iraq war. So why you still think Syria has chemical weapons, when its obviously just an excuse for US to intervene?
I mean, USA has history of spreading democracy, just like Soviet Union with communism, yet you are skeptical of China when the government says that our system is not for export?

The Chinese government have put forward many 5-year plan, 10-year plan, 15-year plan, 20-year plan, and so on, to map out China's future and to set specific goals to achieve by 2020, 2030, 2040, 2050, etc. This whole Belt and Road Initiative is expected to take many decades (if not a century) to complete and requires great planning and foresight to pull off.
But the problem with the West is that they only plan short-term (such as 4-8 years for USA) because there is no guarantee that their government will remain in power for more than a decade, so they make short-term plans that expire once their term is over. Their long term plans get disrupted, such as when Obama planned the Trans Pacific Partnership for 8 years, but when Trump came to power, he cancelled the TPP, simply because Trump didn't like Obama (Obama humiliated him with his birth certificate).

Deren Bong Short-sighted view? Chinese government has made 10-year plans, 15-year plans, 20-year plans to achieve specific objectives in 2020, 2025, 2030, 2040, etc so how is that shortsighted? What about USA only able to plan for 4-8 years because the presidential term limits their long term planning?
If you look at history, in most societies, political power is held in the hands of the few elites, such as the nobles (aristocracy), the priests (theocracy), the kings and emperors (monarchy). This is because such people are qualified to make important political decisions regarding the future of the country. That's why such systems are common throughout history, because apparently they worked. Why have you people so against authoritarian regimes then?
I read elsewhere that you are a Malaysian. but look at your neighbor Singapore. Singapore was under a dictator Lee Kuan Yew, who showed no mercy to his political enemies and ruled with an iron fist. But he transformed Singapore from poor fishing village nation into a 1st world country. So who is the short-sighted one here?
