Honestly speaking, it is the African government that is impeding the continent's progress. Here is a video about Chinese complaining to his African (Congolese I think) college about the conditions in Africa, The Chinese company was contracted to build a railway 6 months earlier, but hasn't started AT ALL, due to lack of government approval. Africa had railways since 1930s (something China didn't have at that time) yet the people did not learn how to maintain it. The infrastructure experience wasn't passed on, and the lines deteriorated after Africa was freed from colonial rule 50 years ago. Deren Bong Chinese workers help build infrastructure like roads, railways, highways, schools, hotels, hospitals, shopping centers, football stadiums, powerstations, and telecommunication projects in African countries like Nigeria, Kenya, Angola, etc, so how is that not empowering the African people? With the recent growth and economic improvement, more Africans students are returning to Africa after studies abroad in order to bring their skills and industry home.

In my opinion, it is those poor countries choice of which banks they want to acquire loans from. If they disdain and distrust the Western banks, then that means that they trust (or at least prefer) Chinese banks over them that's all. Otherwise, why they choose Chinese banks over Western banks, if our interest rates are so unfavorable as you claimed?

China also supply building materials like cement because those countries aren't able to supply it themselves. For example, Pakistan doesn't have enough engineers or cement for CPEC, so Pakistan is planning to train more engineers from its universities and to double cement production. In the meantime, Chinese workers and cement are imported from China so that construction can begin, while Pakistan trains more manpower and produce more building materials to eventually take over in the future.

The government have always welcomed Indian to join onboard the Belt and Road Initiative, but if New Delhi refuses then Beijing still respects its decision. Going with Chinese labor is more efficient, because Chinese workers have experience building infrastructure, than local labour. For example, in the Pakistan Economic Corridor project, China imports Chinese workers and building materials like cement, because Pakistan doesn't have enough engineers and lacks the cement production capacity. Pakistan is planning to double cement production and its universities are training more engineers, so that in the future, they can eventually take over Chinese engineers and cement supply once they are capable of it themselves. In the meantime, Pakistan is still getting infrastructure built by Chinese, while it is working to train enough manpower to take over the projects in the future.

WTO was formed in 1995 and China aimed to be included as a WTO founding member (which would validate our country as a world economic power) but this attempt was thwarted because United States, European countries, and Japan requested that China first reform our economic policies. The US imposed additional conditions on China and China had to agree to considerably harsher conditions than other developing countries. So don't act like the USA helped China to join WTO when its just your own biased Western propaganda telling you so. If the South China Sea dispute has nothing to do with USA, then why is USA sending warships and aircraft carriers from across the Pacific Ocean to SCS? USA is not a claimant in this dispute so why is it interfering in affairs halfway across the globe? As for your statistics about China's debt, if China were really much in debt, then why would China buy about $1.2 trillion dollars worth of US debt then?

President Clinton was the one opposing China's joining the WTO during its founding, so what sort of "help" is this, other than furthering US's own interests? If you do not trust Chinese government, then you can't expect Chinese to trust your government. China is currently peaceful and not at war with any country, since our last major war in 1979, but America fought wars at halfway across the globe, such as Gulf War, Iraq War, Afghan War, Libyan war, even in the 21st century. America wants to defend "freedom of navigation"? The USA does not even ratify the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea at all, so why is USA claiming "freedom of navigation" when it is not even party to UNCLOS? If China doesn't buy US debt, then how do you expect USA to handle its debts then? Western media like Fox News and CNN constantly paint China as the enemy, talking about pontential war scenario with China and going to trade war with China, whereas Chinese media like CGTN and New China TV talk about promoting peaceful cooperation with the West and how both Chinese and Western government system can both exist in the world. So which country is demonizing the other here? Even President Trump just unilaterally slap tariffs on steel and aluminum, without even going through the proper WTO channels at all here.

If the leader has proven to be capable of leading the country, then I personally see nothing wrong with leaving him in power, to maximize the benefits to China. A competent leader should be left in power to implement his changes, while an incompetent leader will eventually be overthrown by rebellion.

Even the Manchus did the same thing, making Tibet, East Turkestan, Mongolia, and even their own home of Manchuria, all part of China today. If you want to take Genghis Khan and the Manchu leaders to international court, then you are free to do so. Otherwise, Tibet is recognized as autonomous region of China, just like Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Manchuria by UN countries, which is why the Map of China is drawn like that.

Exactly. The Yuan and Qing were foreign dynasties of China that first incorporated territories of Tibet and Xinjiang into China. It was Mongolians that choose to first incorporate Mongolia into Yuan dynasty China, and it was the Manchu leaders that first incorporated Manchuria into Qing dynasty China. So if you want someone to blame for making Tibet and Xinjiang part of China, then why don't you blame Genghis Khan and the Manchu leaders? Simple as that.
