But at the time of the events of this video, the USSR, then being nazi Germany's "best friend forever" (well at least until 22nd June 1941) was making ALL those natural raw resources available to nazi Germany, without the supply of soviet food, fuel and raw materials the nazis would not have been able to wage war against Britain. Also it wasn't just Britain that Hitler wanted, but access to the resources of the world's largest empire. He did the same with France... why do you think the Germans allowed the "Vichy French" rump nation to exist? If they had completely occupied France, then with the disappearance of the French govt its imperial colonies would have secceeded and became independent or changed alliance. By leaving the puppet French rump state meant that "France" still ruled over its French colonies in North Africa and Indo-China (You do know that Vichy France ALLOWED the Imperial Japanese Army to land unopposed in French Indo China in 1940 don't you?). It was only the Royal Navy's blockade of Germany that prevented the nazis from benefitting from the natural resources of the French empire. If the Germans had also conquered the UK they would also have left it either wholly or partially as a self governing puppet state for the same reason they did with Vichy France.
