  23. @omb8D I could agree that I was pretty vague. Let's check what I know: * There are two kinds of cut-scenes: in-engine ones and pre-rendered ones. * In-engine ones are basically this: developers disable controls of the character and switch control (and a Camera) to a special game object that would "drive" characters and a Camera until cut-scene would not be over. Another way is, instead of switching control, developers would just despawn playable characters and spawn in their place special "cut-scene characters" that were designed for cut-scenes only. * Pre-rendered ones are basically this: developers (in most cases - a special "cut-scene team" that could even be from another company) uses the same game engine (sometimes) or use whatever they like to, would just use game assets (including characters) to create basically "a movie" that would be played at a specific time (and place) in game. So with in-engine cutscenes developers have full control at any time while in pre-rendered cutscenes they had full control until they rendered the cut-scene.

  25.  @eheboi9278  That's a good question. I think that modern games use more CPU for physics (particle physics and when you fight someone). Also, CPU is used to "feed" videocard all the instructions. Weak CPU will bottleneck game a lot. NPCs AI didn't get smarter. Physics didn't get better (except some unique cases). It's not a technical problem - more like a bad prioritization from game publishers (make a game beautiful - other things are not important). Look at Red Dead Redeption 2 for great details while looking good! Same with Kingdom Come 2. Same with Breath of the Wild. P. S. - Exclude particles from this - they are calculated on a GPU for modern games!

A few points: * There are Story 1 and Story 2 now (there are not called that tho). * First story is about Kiana-baka, Mei-sempai and Bronya-oneechan (names were a little bit modified by me xD ) * The second story is after the first story. Previous trio is still alive and well but now we are focused on new "girls in town" - Senadina, Coralie and Helia. * New players could start at Part 2 (Story 2) - That way they will have better movement, a faster developing story but would not understand any of so many references.

(yes, I actually said that!) * Last Epoch - it's like Diablo and Path of Exile 1 mixed * Path of Exile 2 - well, you saw it in the video. It's THE best aRPG on the market right now! * Victor Vran - it's good but the main selling point: every weapon handles differently and you character could jump! * Inquisitor Martyr - Diablo but in Warhammer 40k. If you like w40k - that's instabuy!
