  11. It did sound a tad indulgent and a bit first-world-problem-y. But, on the other hand, her health and well-being (and her sense of personal attractiveness) are obviously important to that teacher. She might be worried about her weight. She might be trying to avoid type-one diabetes. She might have mental health issues that are helped by an exercise regime. Who knows? Would you be more sympathetic to her worries if she was obese or sickly looking?
