The racial distribution of police officers might not be similar to that of the whole population but you have to ask is that because trainees fail to qualify or is it because few people from racial groups other than white British want to join? I would expect more intelligent reasoning from an MP.

@Brajaxo But people do not gain immunity when they are in isolation and I hazard a guess that the virus does not disappear so as soon as lockdown ends people get it again. And that's what the empirical evidence shows - the number of cases now far exceeds the cases prior to the first lockdown, do they not? Otherwise we would not need a second lockdown.

@Brajaxo You population density figures are a disingenuous. Sweden has low population density only if you disregard that most of it is uninhabited due to being in the arctic circle. It has slightly greater urban density that the UK because everyone lives in a few cities. And it is similar for Finland.

@solentforest I'm not making any comparison between Sweden and Italy. I am stating that the overall population density is misleading. Nobody lives in the arctic circle - its too cold. They all live close together in urban populations. As for how much travel there is between cities, well I doubt it differs much from any other country. Have you got evidence to the contrary?

'if the Conservatives have so much power in today's parliament then why don't they do something about this issue???' He is and it's not his constituency. The real question is why didn't the Labour MP for that constituency investigate and provide credible evidence? Maybe people knew there was no point in raising the issue with their MP because they knew nothing would get done. The responsible person here is Andrew Bridgen.
