The stock is a copy of one of the types used on the Sten Mk.II and Mk.III.

The Buckingham was a WW1 incendiary bullet. Only produced in .303" British. The RFC, RNAS and RAF only authorised Buckinghams for use against lighter-than-air craft (balloons and dirigibles, "Zepellins"). Pilots had to carry written orders, sanctioning the use of Buckingham rounds.

The Lanchester was a copy of the MP28. Not the MP38.

The gun was dimensioned for MP40 mags. But the MP40 and Sten used the same design and they were sometimes interchangeable.

Oh no they didn't.

It would be funny except the Sten was derived from the MP 28. Not the MP38, MP38/40, or MP40.

Except the MP40 magazine was not much more reliable then the Sten Gun's. Both guns used the same design. And once the early production issues were sorted the British ones were just as reliable.

The magazines of the MP38, MP40, Lanchester, and Sten were all copies of the MP28 magazine. And they all had the same feed problems.
