No special ammunition was made for British snipers. But British snipers would draw ammo by the case and then re-zero their rifle to that particular batch. Which was reserved for their exclusive use. Most snipers had their own favourite cartridge manufacture. Winchester was very popular. Explosive rounds weren't available. But most snipers carried some special rounds: tracer (for target marking), AP, and incendiary (for anti-material targets), and, sometimes, boat tailed Mk.8z rounds (for long range targets).

When the P-14 was renamed the Rifle No.3, the P-14(T) became the No.3(T).

Specialist snipers. Organised into their own platoon with the Battalion HQ Company.

Holland & Holland didn't just fit the scopes on No.4(T) rifles. They stripped and handfitted the action and trigger. And checked and if necessary improved the bedding of the barrel.
