  1. British No.4 sniper rifles were not just selected for accuracy, as most countries did for sniper rifles. The selected rifles were sent to Holland & Holland to have scopes and cheek rests installed, triggers refined, and, if necessary, restocked.

  2. I don't know if the Italians made any new sniper rifles in WW2. But they continued to use those M91 sniper rifles that had been modified in WW1.
