  3. Colt M1903 was a very popular pistol with SOE. Especially if it was made before 1939. Not only were they effective pistols, but if the Germans caught you with one there was still a chance you could convince them you were just a local miscreant, rather than a resistor or, worse, a British agent.

  4. The square sights may help with shooting, but the rounded sights are less likely snag during concealed carry. Swings and roundabouts.

  5. Office of Strategic Services, aka "Oh, So Secret". Don't mock them: the legendary Colonel Robert Ortiz USMC was an OSS agent. As well as a veterans of the French Foreign Legion, both in 1930s North Africa and the Battle of France. And he survived to make westerns with John Wayne and John Ford.
