  1. RNAS 2F1 Camels had a synchronised Vickers Gun and a wing mounted Lewis gun. RFC FI Camels had two Vickers. And only added a Lewis gun to fire incendiary rounds against observation balloons.

  2. ​ @heneagedundas The Vickers K was developed as a direct replacement for the Lewis as an observers gun. Hence the resemblance, it was meant to fit into the same aircraft mountings.
