@alcoyne3333333333333 The government doesn’t set prices.

I bet you’re a lazy Joker, because you didn’t actually steal their money and burn it, you merely watched them burn their own money and the money of their investors. Nothing wrong with taking Joker-like pleasure in watching people be the agents of their own destruction, so don’t think my calling you a lazy Joker is a criticism.

@boudicajones6524 It’s not 300 million people having a problem, though. It’s jjkoester and a handful of people with bad luck that can’t seem to get ahead, no matter what they do. None of the usual get rich schemes are working for them, crypto is crapto, and the only way they’ve been able to make passive income is by dragging a mattress down to the wharves, lying face down, and passively taking it from sailors on shore leave. And few of these sailors have the common decency to give him a reach around. On the plus side of things, some of these sailors give him big tips.

@greebj Bingo. I recently had to do some emergency travel when my cash reserves were low. I ended up putting a substantial amount on my credit card. Right now, to avoid the debt trap, I’m cutting back to the bone all possible expenses so I can pay down my high interest debt before the Christmas holidays. I’ve had to put off QoL purchases and I’ve gotten the food budget down to about $125. If the OP is feeling an unbearable squeeze because he’s starting a business, maybe this isn’t the right time for him to be starting a business. (There’s a lot of possible maybes as to why it’s not working out.) Anyway, starting a business is hard and there’s no guarantee of success. Most businesses fail in their first five years. And yes, it sucks, but blaming the external world is lame and counterproductive.

@theondono right?

It could be that the numlock key is stuck.

Yes, it’s the social contract. What’s new is registering the social contract on the blockchain.

What percentage of your portfolio is allocated to “normal savings”?

Patrick, have you seen Colin O’Malley’s comedy special “Stand Up Solutions”? It’s on YouTube. I think you’d enjoy it. The basic conceit is applying AI to standup comedy. Also, O’Malley is a madman.
1
Modestly budgeted. I think his biggest expense is the value of his time that he spends creating and providing these videos.

On a side note, where do you get your spelling advice?

Eight Sleep isn’t just redefining sleep. They’re disrupting it!

@jonny-b4954 Experienced salesmen also know not to waste time or effort on non-buyers. Trying to cultivate non-buyers into buyers is for rookies.
1
@robo1p No, wasting time like responding to your comment, sir.

@TaoScribble You just need to work at it a little harder. 😉
1
@webaazul2500 It’s worse than doing nothing. It’s sleazy companies stealing $ while doing nothing.
1
@crelgen1588 So there is no correlation between announcing substantial layoffs and the substantial drop in stock price that followed. Because investors don’t react to news. 🙄 Back in the day, stock price would rise when layoffs were announced.

I don’t feel emotionally invested, but who doesn’t like a multi-billion dollar train wreck? Anyway, it’s less morbid than an actual train wreck involving death and injury.

@RinslerRR even Google kept its name. It just named its holding company Alphabet. Same thing for Facebook. The product/subsidiary stayed the same, but the parent company was renamed to Meta.

This is your opinion, but what do the numbers say?

@justletmepostthis276 That’s the truest thing you ever said: YDK.

You’re incorrect and obfuscating the fact that while the entry might have been legal, these immigrants from Asia overstayed their visas, making them just as illegal as someone who crosses the border.
1
@markmarcas6523 You sound like a juvenile delinquent and the liberals that coddle them. “I blame society for making me do dumb things.” Sure, people need to be held accountable. But what happened to personal responsibility?
1
@jeffw8218 That’s a lie. Brush clearance is actually legally required around houses and other structures. Your lie is so bald faced, I must ask you something. Are you a Russian?
1
Your body is more than blood. Who needs blood? You could easily survive with a pint less blood (permanently because transfusions are now illegal).

It’s Mitchell and Web. There’s a million clips. May I suggest one titled “Are we the baddies?”

What I enjoy most is the people bragging about Californians fleeing to their state turn around and complain about Californians moving to their state. The second best is conservatives who move to escape “teh libruls” discovering the hard way what it’s like to live in a conservative state.

@MarcosElMalo2 I can’t believe the misquote is getting more votes than you, self.

Additionally, it’s no brainer to rebalance your portfolio when you vest, so you don’t have your eggs all in one basket.

@sELFhATINGiNDIAN So hard that he takes his penis for granite.

The Scandinavians?

It’s a quasi legal means of buying influence. You can gain Trump’s favor and attention if you make a substantial purchase. Want a presidential pardon? Buy $10 million in Trump Liberty coins. Is your company being investigated for toxic waste dumping? Twenty million dollars of Trump Liberty Coins will end the investigation.
