None of the usual get rich schemes are working for them, crypto is crapto, and the only way they’ve been able to make passive income is by dragging a mattress down to the wharves, lying face down, and passively taking it from sailors on shore leave. And few of these sailors have the common decency to give him a reach around. On the plus side of things, some of these sailors give him big tips.

  7.  @greebj  Bingo. I recently had to do some emergency travel when my cash reserves were low. I ended up putting a substantial amount on my credit card. Right now, to avoid the debt trap, I’m cutting back to the bone all possible expenses so I can pay down my high interest debt before the Christmas holidays. I’ve had to put off QoL purchases and I’ve gotten the food budget down to about $125. If the OP is feeling an unbearable squeeze because he’s starting a business, maybe this isn’t the right time for him to be starting a business. (There’s a lot of possible maybes as to why it’s not working out.) Anyway, starting a business is hard and there’s no guarantee of success. Most businesses fail in their first five years. And yes, it sucks, but blaming the external world is lame and counterproductive.
