If we had free access to nuclear weapons, as guaranteed by the Constitution, we’d find the money to treat mental health problems. Believe me, it would become a top priority over night. Also, we’d all behave more courteously and respectfully to one another.

The explosion happened in the U.S., not Russia. You’re on your own with your stolen elections, Ivan. Complain to the Kremlin.

Still there the last time I drove to LAX.

@johnnyjacuzzi7498 couldn’t be a stroke, it’s not in all caps. Probably a psychotic break, ongoing since November.

@MTREDHEADS She believes in policies a different GOP supported. The GOP has become a different party over the past 8 years. GOP politicians are not interested in policy and they’re not interested in governing. They’re interested in power and they’re interested in being social media influencers.

I don’t think so. This is too high profile to sweep under the rug. It’s going to be difficult for the AG to just drop the matter if Cuomo is impeached or resigns. That said, what do you think he might be charged with? Most of the behavior described so far is along the lines of sexual harassment and fostering a toxic work environment. From what I understand, one or two of the cases might rise to the level of sexual assault. If they can prove him guilty of sexual assault, he might well see jail time, but it’s less likely he would serve time for the weaker charges. That said, if he’s orchestrating a cover up (more than just issuing denials), he could be jailed for quite a long time.

He lived there. He didn’t go to a war zone, Putin brought the war zone to him.

@ThatOneGSXR17 It would have been nice if he had tried to get during the negotiations, instead of going back on his agreements. But I guess holding the American People hostage is for their own good and just how The Art of the Deal works. The foreign aid is part of the Omnibus funding bill, not the COVID relief bill. The foreign aid is money that Trump requested from Congress, and is now blaming on them.

Look up fertilizer bomb first of all. Acquisition of bomb materials is not extremely difficult. Timothy McVeigh used a fertilizer bomb. Second, throw a raw meatball at a brick wall as hard as you can, so hard that it sticks. Now pass a blowtorch over it. Scrape it off and you’ll find that part of it is still raw. That’s where you get the sample. The explosion shockwave doesn’t damage DNA, it’s the fireball that comes right after. If some of the human hamburger, uh, I mean remains are found and scraped up, there will be enough uncooked bits there to test.

@QUICKNEASYHANDYMAN a little too easy, thus the hundreds of convoluted conspiracy theories. It all makes sense when you realize ATT was selling pizza from that location.

They’ve agreed to not closing down the government. This a normal thing that has nothing to do with pandemic relief. It just makes sure that government agencies stay open. It has the potential to be a political football, so it’s good that Pelosi and Munchkin got it done with a “clean bill” (meaning no amendments for unrelated stuff).
1
The bill is ready to be signed immediately. Trump was always part of the negotiations via his negotiator, Mnuchin. Trump knows that there are two different spending bills involved here. He is purposefully mixing the omnibus components to keep the government from shutting down and the Covid relief bill. The foreign aid he finds objectionable was what he requested—its in his budget request to congress. Trump is either cynically lying or is suffering from memory problems and cognitive issues. Either way, he’s the current problem.

@gonefishn5138 What’s Mar A Lago got to do with this? We’re talking about a Democrat Governor in New York, not Donald Trump.

Or murdered him. They armed themselves as they exited the vehicle, which signifies they intended or at least were entertaining the idea of killing him. This doesn’t signify that they were content with overpowering him with superior numbers and beating the crap out of him, nor does it signify that they merely wanted to detain him. They were prepared to use their firearms when they exited the vehicle with those firearms in their hands.

Word on the street is that there were a couple of droids in that building. Look at the placement of the RV. It had to be imperials, because Tusken Raiders aren’t that precise.
1
@carterchain2831 How much experience do you have planting bombs? How do you usually do it? Study the history of terrorism a bit, and you’ll see that some terrorist groups send warnings.

They haven’t yet said if they’re excluding or including adult dependents.

@ikaros21 The other purpose of the stimulus checks are to stimulate the economy, so it doesn’t matter if a recipient spends their tax rebate on necessities or luxuries. It’s right there in the name, STIMULUS. I highly doubt anyone was buying a new car with their $1200 check, even if they had three wives and nine children. Maybe you’re thinking of fraud from the payroll loan program to businesses.

Why be as ignorant as the President? Is that the bar you use to measure your own intelligence and knowledge?

Have you talked to your doctor about getting a referral to a psychiatrist? You should do that soon. Make it a New Year’s resolution.

It happened months ago, but the prosecutor of that jurisdiction declined to prosecute, and the second prosecutor had a prior relation with one of the killers (ex cop) so had to recuse, and finally there was enough public outcry for the AG to investigate the case. Double check me, I might have details wrong, but it seems like there was an initial attempt to sweep this under the rug. If the case has an effect on the election, and if that’s because the case was delayed by a good ole boy network, it’s poetic justice.

Skynet is getting pretty old and haggard.

@Jonny Croxville No, not everyone. Just you and people like you.

I believe there were, but they were few. However, some cities reopened too soon because of political pressure, and experienced even worse second waves. My great grandmother died in the fall/winter of 1918 from the Spanish Flu. Great grandfather took to drink, and it fell to my grandmother to take care of her 5 sisters. Changed the entire course of my family.

@timewa851 They have twisters in Kentucky?

@reneebauman2994 In the general election Haley would sweep independents and she might pick up some dem voters concerned about Biden’s age. Desantis is seen as a clown and a weakling by Trump supporters, but if Trump found it difficult to campaign from a jail cell, they might be persuaded to back Ron (if he promise to give Trump a pardon). The other Republican candidates got nothing. Vivek is going nowhere. I think Haley will get some respect for just hanging in there. That said, unless Trump cannot continue his campaign due to jail, ill health, or a spontaneous change of address to a country without an extradition treaty, Hailey ain’t going to be the nominee. She has a pretty good chance if any of the above happens.
1
@lizhall2961 She’s the only Republican candidate that has hung in there against Trump. She’s the only one still fundraising—all the suspended campaigns are broke. Desantis is a joke. Ramaswami is an even weaker joke. Christie, bless him, doesn’t have the fundraising (not to mention that Haley is finally doing what he was begging her to do). Yeah, it’s a long shot, but Republican voters might finally notice that the Trumperor has no clothes between now and the Convention in June. Trump might yet prove to be man of convictions. 😉

@christopheralvarez1551 it’s not ideal, but that’s not the whole story. The JJ vaccine is 85% effective at preventing serious illness. This means that if you do get infected, the illness will be less severe and less life threatening. You won’t need to go to the hospital. Anyway, it’s an option and a backstop against severe vaccine shortages, if the Phizer, Moderna, or Oxford-Astrozeneca vaccines are unavailable.

The fault is on the American People, who betrayed the President by electing someone else to be President. This is sarcasm, except you know it also is not sarcasm—Trump is punishing all of us for not giving him his way.

It’s Huawei or the highway, buddy.

Something along those lines. Not unemployment supplement, but definitely something to help the non-working in general.

@cliffperkins2339 over the White House?

The bomber thought the NSA was controlling his mind via 5G. The ultimate irony is that the NSA implanted the suggestion to blow up the ATT building with 4G network technology.
1
@ballerz5011990 They’re going to restart their suspended campaigns with no momentum and with no money? She’s the last woman standing and I gotta respect her for not quitting. I think her chances are slim, but if history has taught us anything, if Trump can get elected once so can she. If she continues to make a good showing despite losing, people are going to remember her in 2028 as someone who didn’t quit and who can beat VP Harris handily.

Is that where they’re hiding the Dominion machines?

Do you know what lobbying even means? Congress doesn’t “lobby” itself. Whether they got a good deal or a bad deal, the Dems didn’t promise you that money, they promised to fight for it. The Republican Senate LEADERSHIP (McConnell) wanted NO stimulus checks, despite support for it among his own caucus—meaning Mitch could have gotten it done with bipartisan support. Except McConnell doesn’t want any bipartisan support from Democrats. $600 was the compromise between $1200 and $0 or there might not have been any bill passed at all. Don’t hang this on the Democrats. This is about McConnell exercising his Senate Majority Leader veto power. He has the sole sayso as to what gets voted on. He torpedoed the negotiations between Mnuchin and Pelosi when they were getting close to a deal by saying he wouldn’t allow their proposal anywhere near the Senate.

After handing down the sentences, the judge commented from the bench, and he had some interesting things to say about the case, and how we might derive larger moral lessons from it.

That was short and sweet.

If you were an American, you’d know that the FBI will have no involvement in the case. This is a state crime and will be handled by local and state authorities.
1
@ihave35cents95 and the slowest. Don’t leave that out. It’s actually the reason the chase was so long. It wasn’t a long distance.

Why would a guy trying to execute a plan in secret go on Facebook? Whether he was acting alone or with others, why would he go on FB?

You’re a liar, and you are not interested in honest debate, only lying.

@JohnnyLegato6M Alien disruptor beam. Don’t tell me you haven’t been watching the Mandalorian! Everything about the current situation is explained in the Mandalorian, if you know how to interpret it. For example, the Giancarlo Esposito character? Clearly he represents Mof Obama. Yeah, I think you’re starting to see it now. Of course, that would make Donald Trump . . . 🥁 🥁 🥁 . . . Baby Yoda!
1
@ki11ukw1k I don’t think she and Mnuchin were given the opportunity. They (Pelosi and Mnuchin) were hammering out details, when McConnell torpedoed that deal, saying he wouldn’t even let it on the floor. Then he tried to pass his $500 billion “skinny” package, and couldn’t get enough votes from his own caucus. And let’s not forget the aberrant tactics from Mnuchin’s boss. Negotiations are extremely difficult between parties that don’t trust each other. Even more so when one or both sides has a history of bad faith tactics. You can ascribe that to both sides if you want, but only the leader of one side literally wrote a book on how to engage in bad faith negotiations and how to get the other side to compromise by giving them false promises and then changing your demands. It’s also interesting that Senate Republicans refused to join the negotiations, but McConnell kept his veto power—and eventually used it. So I question the statement that Pelosi should have taken the better deal. There still wasn’t a deal when McConnell torpedoed the final negotiations.

@FierceMouse if the virus was spread by flatulence, you loonies would be protesting for the right to run around in public with your junk out in the breeze, and you’d gather in churches and bars to smell each other’s farts.
