@Anyonymous92 You’ll say anything to avoid being sent to fight in Ukraine, GRU troll. Gotta make those quotas.
82
That was brutal. I’m happy Ukrainian soldiers are doing what it takes to win, but that was hard to watch, knowing it’s not just a movie.
75
I can’t believe they forgot to set the parking brake before running for shelter.

@jonnykidnap4082 I’m just wondering how the Russians remove the bodies of their dead soldiers in an IFV. A wire brush and scraper, then a quick pass with a shop vacuum?
16
@BelloBudo007 Russian military had a limited amount of drones at the beginning. They can’t buy more drones due to sanctions. They can’t buy components to make more due to sanctions. (Side note: apparently the Russian military was paying $100,000 for recon drones that were assembled with < $5000 worth of consumer grade parts. They might have stockpiled 10x the amount of drones for the amount they paid.) When Russia loses a piece of equipment that uses silicon from Taiwan or South Korea, that equipment will not be replaced.

@okanaktug364 Uh, no. China is not sending weapons. Don’t wait at home for the delivery man. Chechens can’t send many fighters, or the government will be overthrown. Syrian fighters? Ooookay. Belarus military has threatened to quit if ordered into Russia, from the top generals down to the humblest private. India wants to play both sides and get some concessions from Russia. Face it, Russia is isolated. It has no real friends, just opportunists hoping to gain advantage.
13
@safetyoff.4430 That’s funny. The blast of the explosion is channeled by the trench. I don’t think he was able to cover the bomb with his body. More like, they were shooting at the drone, and the soldier said, “You guys got this. I’ll be right back, I need to change my pants.”
8
@LEE-nh5ut lol, it’s hard to believe someone could post a comment that stupid, but you proved it could be done.
8
@jetzenijeboer4854 Your understanding is impeccable. The KGB ran and organized the black market and criminal underworld in the USSR. The original Bolsheviks had connections to organized crime even before the revolution. SMERSH was originally formed as a bandit organization with state approval. Stalin was an honest-to-God bank robber before he joined the party. The Soviet Union was a house of kleptocracy, with a display of socialism in the front window. The only thing that changed is the gangsters rebranded the country, changed the name and logo, and changed the window display.
7
@blacktrollmoldova You can’t even troll properly.
7
@jamauljacobs9542 I know you’ll anger some people because you’re a Russian bot. But I think it’s great how you’re cheating your employer with these lackluster comments. Russian quality control strikes again. Keep it up, bro.

If this tank was knocked out by a javelin, it wasn’t high velocity, but rather a shaped charge. A shaped charge as you might know, cuts a hole into the armor somewhat like a plasma torch. The counter measure for this is explosive reactive armor, which causes the shaped charge to prematurely detonate, but the latest generation of AT weapons (such as the Javelin) have a two stage payload to defeat this. Older AT weapons do not. However, we’ve seen video of captured Russian tanks that shows the ERA containers filled with cardboard! The tankers might have thought they had some protection against AT weapons, but apparently they did not due to incompetence, unpreparedness, or corruption.
7
@ghignoluv The opinion polls taken BEFORE the invasion say that for the first time, more than 50% of Finns want to join NATO. I think that’s a huge change from last year when it was in the 40s. Those against are 26% and the remainder are undecided.
7
@luisgalindo4530 but the generals do have a choice. They can refuse a criminal order, and bravely accept the consequences. They can resign, either quietly or publicly to show their opposition. Look what happened in Belarus that has kept the Belarusian military out of it. The top general/minister of defense resigned, and other generals threatened to resign. The Belarus president has allowed Putin to use his country, but not his soldiers because he faces mutiny.

@jalilbabi4161 The only thing Ukraine is “loosing” is a shitload of whoopass on the Red Army.
5
My name is Giovanni Giorgio but everyone calls me Giorgio.
5
Nah. It wasn’t actually a tank, it was a IFV or APC. Those don’t carry ERA. Half the reactive armor on actual tanks doesn’t work anyway. Some clever procurement officers filled the boxes with cardboard, sold the ERA to India, and bought themselves property in London.

Really, Canada should be at the top of the list. But most importantly, these three allies trained the Ukrainian military to train itself. And now I bet the Ukrainian NCOs could return the favor and impart some experience, strength, and hope to our forces.
4
@IRISHSALTMINER61 it must be so hard to cope with Arnold Schwarzenegger doing all that shilling for the globe.
4
We just don’t know, unless you have other more detailed information. Normal procedure would be to just quietly relieve ineffective generals, and put other generals in their place whose abilities and stance are more in line with military objectives. Calling generals out as traitors is a pretty big deal and indicates there is more going on.
4
@freddyodonohoe2644 Pray to God, the Virgen, and your good ole St. Pat! 😄 I’m not a praying man myself, but I’ll join you! 🙏
3
He also said it was the same people running the Russian government that ran the Soviet government.
3
There’s been a lot of recent sightings of “N” tanks, but the public will be relieved to know that these are just Z tanks knocked over on their sides.
3
@brutusjudas5842 Western armies are still governed by rules, as Sylvia says. These rules might be different from civilian laws, but they can’t be overruled by an arbitrary military or civilian power. Military rule based discipline is the backbone of a strong military in a democracy.
3
@brutusjudas5842 No, I didn’t make your point, I argued the opposite of your point. I take it that English isn’t your native language? Let me put my point forward once again: militaries in democracies are rule based and exercise of power is not arbitrary. A court martial might be different from civilian criminal courts, but they are bound by the same principles of justice as the civil society that they protect. If the Ukrainian government is democratic, there will be no show trials in a kangaroo court, nor will there be a secret trial with a predetermined result. There will be a court martial with evidence presented and questioned. There will be the opportunity for the defense to present counter-evidence. Wartime doesn’t change this, even if the government has emergency powers. I guess we will see how much of a democracy Ukraine really is, but rule of law is a foundation of military discipline. Without military discipline, you get a sh¡t-show like we see in Russia.
3
Except for the anomalous years of 2016-2020 and at some points during the 60s, non-violent protests and non-violent civil disobedience are part of our national fabric.
3
Nah. All he wants is the freedom to go home, provide for his family, and be left alone by the Kremlin. He doesn’t want a medal. But why would you want to give him one? His two main objections is that they’re not being properly equipped and the pay is bad. If this company gets the arms and equipment they want and the pay they want, are they then going to go into battle and murder Ukrainians?

You need to find better ways to cope, Putzi.

@muuuuuud When I heard about how the ruble had crashed, I thought, “At least they won’t have any toilet paper shortages”. But it turns out that because of sanctions, their debit cards don’t work at the ATM, so they have to wait in long line to go into bank for toilet paper money. It’s real terrible—many Russians are pooping in their pants while waiting hours in line and unable to clean their butts. The best option now for ordinary Russian citizens is to withdraw all their rubles now while they can to insure they have a stockpile of toilet paper.
2
The nervous grins was because it’s shameful that they must tell a lie to explain the yellow suits. I don’t think most Russians will miss the symbolism.
2
They’re blithely driving around like this because they think this is territory that they control. This is not near a “hot zone”, unless you want to consider all of “Russian controlled” territory a hot zone. When the Russian forces advance, they leave behind an area that they cannot secure, so Ukrainian units can move in behind them and wait for a moment such as this. This is one reason the Russians have bogged down and their advance is crawling. They cannot secure their flanks. They cannot secure their rear areas. They don’t have enough soldiers in Ukraine and they can’t spare reserves needed in other parts of Russia.

What’s second prize? A two week vacation in Cleveland?
2
Plan to rendezvous with Moskva is underway!
2
@victorzvyagintsev1325 Uh, Ukraine was/is a manufacturer of Soviet style armaments before the invasion, including tanks. Look up T-84.
2
AA Kostic She didn’t say that. Stop being obtuse. She is saying that Ukraine’s military should be a rule based one that requires such evidence to be presented in a court martial, and that the defense be allowed to question that evidence and provide counter evidence. “During wartime” doesn’t change that. It is during wartime that it is most important.
2
The convoys have suffered from raids behind the lines but there is less video being taken to document it because of the situation.
2
This comment is very disrespectful to the Mother of Modern Russian Tank Design, Dr. Ivanna Popov.
2
Lol, heck no!
2
It’s too bad there was no audio. I wanted to hear what 20 tanks in reverse, all going “beep-beep-beep” sounded like. Make that 19 tanks. Wait, 18. No, 17.
2
The VDV officer that got fired must be thanking his lucky star that he was replaced. Maybe his luck will change his heart and he will work to end Russia’s senseless war. He’s been given a chance to redeem himself.
2
“Found one!” 😫 Good lord. The probably saw evidence of mines on the road, and thought they were being smart by driving on the field. Do the Russians not have engineering companies or battalions? Or were they in too much of a hurry?
2
@ianbrown8171 it was bag containing a wire brush, a scraper, and a vacuum cleaner, so the surviving tanker can recover his crewmates’ bodies.
2
@YansPL that tank should have quit smoking and taken up a healthier lifestyle, like not invading Ukraine.
2
@hamzterix Probably, but it was still a quick death. It’s going to require wire brushes and BBQ scrapers to recover their bodies.
2
They need a better weather app or they’ll keep getting rained on.
2
Maybe this is one of the own goals Russians made.
1
That will buff out.
1
That was confirmed by UKR defense forces? I’m concerned it might be a false flag to give Putin the excuse to declare war and escalate.
1
Bad news. 😟 Who are these generals? What have they done? Ukraine will win sooner or later, but having traitors might help delay Russia’s inevitable loss.
