@dhoffnun They have two talking points. 1) it’s edited, and 2) gas prices. They’re utterly brain dead. Trolling quality is way down.

@redplanet7573 Listen to Cheney’s full opening statement. And watch the next public hearing live.
4
@hippopotamus6765 more likely it’s the same old troll, new account.
4
You can’t get sick leave? Maybe you need to do some collective bargaining with your employer, but nobody, not even Mitch McConnell, is stopping you from doing that.
4
I’d say that there are more than a few Texan Republican leaders that are eager to repeat history.
4
@EngineeredChannel We don’t know for sure, but I 100% think you’re correct. They must have hit some exceptional conditions that the de-icing equipment couldn’t handle. I just saw this in the Blanco Lirio channel, and that’s what Juan Brown thinks. We’ll know more when they read the data off the flight controllers. It’s terribly disappointing but not surprising to see the racist comments against “3rd World” pilots.

Truss wasn’t the first woman PM. Do you not know who Margaret Thatcher was?

2023: woke cartels

I’m glad to hear it. McConnell is like the Republican Nancy Pelosi. Dems hate him as much as Republicans hate Nancy. Both of them are great Americans. Devious Americans, but great Americans nonetheless. 😂

That’s not actually true, although I wondered about that myself. A chambered blank looks like a chambered live round. You’d have to pop the mag and clear the round to tell the difference—which is what you’re thinking. Basic gun safety says to always assume a firearm is loaded. Ideally, before you hand it over to someone else, you should look (and perhaps clear the weapon), and the person receiving it should do the same. I’m with you on that. But this was a movie set. The actor is supposed to be getting into character and maintaining that, not pausing to do a safety check before every take. Even if the actor pulls back on the slide for a quick visual check, he or she won’t be able to distinguish whether it’s a live round or a blank. Same deal with the Assistant Director. There are safety protocols that weren’t followed on this set. We can agree with that. But they’re not what we would call basic weapons safety. And the most basic question is, why were real weapons being used as props. Replica props can be used, recoil can be simulated by the actor, and the muzzle flash added as a special effect later. Second question is why wasn’t the armorer/weaponsmith on set where she should have been? It was her job to check each weapon as it was handed to the actor or the AD.

@razrv3lc Yup. Look up Redstone. Huntsville is a good candidate location. Except for this anti-women’s rights b.s. the Alabama Christian Right is foisting on everyone else, it might be an ideal location.
3
@realitycheck2051 Because he defended himself? The shooter followed conservative stand-your-ground shooting doctrine.
3
He worked at the airport as a fueler. Likely he had access to the plane and it’s possible he was familiar with it.
3
Yes, and the proof is that “all prophecy” has come to pass at least twice recently. Remember when the world ended in 2000? How about 2012?
3
There were some unsourced allegations made over last summer, but I figured it was the Trump Team trying to undermine the Lincoln Project. But when the NYT reported it as they did, and the Lincoln Project immediately denounced the abuser, you know it’s not a rumor.
3
AMLO is playacting for a domestic audience, the Mexican left. It’s political kabuki. The interesting question (if you’re interested in Mexican politics) is why he has the need to do this? Is his power within his own party weakening as they look beyond his presidency?
3
@michaeldrone520 Go find a mask free store. If there aren’t any, that’s called a market opportunity: open your own mask free store and fulfill all that anti mask demand. Or don’t you believe in free enterprise?
3
Weaver admitted guilt.
3
Now you’re just trolling.
3
I’m pretty sure he will. He just wants to give Desantis an off-ramp before this winds up in court. I don’t think Desantis is smart enough to take the off-ramp. Iger wants to be seen as being forced to defend Disney.
3
@michaeldrone520 False. The non-mask wearer was asked to leave and when he didn’t, he was trespassing. It’s legal for a business to physically remove a trespasser.
3
@NeedMorePlebs He will have trouble suing the individual officer because police officers are covered from liability by “qualified immunity” during their work hours. The officer’s employer might also be protected unless it can be shown that their policies or their training is negligent. Judges regularly dismiss civil suits because of qualified immunity. It’s not a slam dunk case, despite this video clearly showing criminal behavior by the officer handling the K9. Look up qualified immunity if the law isn’t clear to you. It’s being challenged, sometimes successfully. The idea behind the law isn’t bad: without it, Law officers and their agencies could be overburdened with frivolous lawsuits. Obviously the problem is there are abusive cops and agencies that are shielded from consequences.

He should be in a boy band. 😍 🤮

@herefortheluls2267 Apparently adults are not allowed to debate issues that make Republican politicians uncomfortable. Discussing legislation is “inappropriate”. Punishment will be extracted from anyone who dissents from the Florida GOP. I don’t think this will hurt Disney’s existing business much. It will hurt taxpayers in Orange County. It might hurt any plans Disney has for growth and expansion, but guess what? That also hurts the people in the state. One thing that is striking is Republicans saying things like “Disney kicked the hornets’ nest. One would hope that elected politicians are not insects, but thoughtful leaders that give careful consideration and debate to how the state moves forward. Retaliating against businesses that dissent from your politics and for political expedience does strike me as the behavior of an aggressive insect, and not thoughtful leadership. It’s not a formula that will promote business growth in Florida.

Hamberder, fries, shake. I count only three courses.

“Local residents expressed gratitude that it wasn’t their RV. Back to you in the studio, Kay.”
3
This is hilarious. I’m sorry, Elaine. You need to either move or find a way to profit from this.
3
@reidflemingworldstoughestm1394 in fewer words, “My ignorance is equal to expert opinion”. The GOP has become a frikkin’ cargo cult/death cult. I say that as a conservative and ex-Republican.
3
On Nicaragua, for sure I agree with you. Cuba isn’t even a member of the OAS. When the OAS extended an invitation to rejoin, Cuba refused it. Non-members are invited at the host country’s discretion (and yes, Cuba has been invited before). I’m not crystal clear on how Venezuela can be disinvited as last I heard, they were a member of the OAS and should be invited. However, they’ve quit and rejoined and screwed around. The government is a criminal cartel. Not only are they undemocratic and corrupt, they are a threat to their neighbors. Like Cuba, they murder and imprison opposition leaders. I’d call Venezuela a gray area.

The last four years have made it clear that most self-proclaimed Christians in the U.S. are not followers of Christ, they’re members of a club.
3
False. The non-mask wearer was asked to leave and when he didn’t, he was trespassing. It’s legal for a business to physically remove a trespasser.
3
@JorgeMartinez-bw7nl Two continents. Just saying.
3
Independent investigation is certainly called for, but don’t be shocked if the result is similar. The cop didn’t intend to ignite the gasoline, he was incredibly stupid and negligent. If anyone dies, I could see it moving up to a felony.
3
You have to put a quarter in the slot before pressing the button. Two quarters if you have a copilot.
3
@teflontelefon Opening businesses now, in the middle of this winter surge, is NOT sustainable, unless you hope for hundreds of thousands of more deaths before enough people are evacuated. Not all businesses are closed, btw. But even if all were reopened, people don’t have enough money to spend at those businesses.

@joscallinet6260 No, no, no! A pedal file is when you’re cataloging all possible components of a bicycle and all their variations, and you archive all pedal related documents into the pedal file.
2
He’s confessed, dummy.
2
@Mouse_007 practice.
2
Of course there’s no bond. He’s a flight risk.
2
@robertmoir5695 If they can be safely relocated far from human habitation, there is no need to destroy them, but I understand your impulse. It’s a natural reaction.
2
AMLO is a dunce, but Nicaragua should have been invited.
2
Then vote in elections, at a minimum. Stop listening to the idiots that tell you that you live in a tyranny.
2
@michaeldrone520 Go breathe somewhere else, like a Trump rally.
2
He wants Trump to be the bigger man, but what is he willing to do about it? He could start by sending buckets of KFC to the President three times a day, maybe hamberders as well.
2
@michaeldrone520 That is false. You’re spreading medical misinformation. Are you ignorant or malicious?
2
@tashathayer6427 A foreign agent in this context isn’t a spy. It’s a lobbyist for a foreign country. They’re required by law to register as a foreign agent for country X (or multiple countries if they represent more than one). It appears that this woman didn’t register and attempted to conceal that Russia was her employer. She isn’t being charged with spying, she’s being charged with “lobbying without a license”.
2
Blame it on the liberal governor of Texas, Greg Abbott.
2
@johnhopkins3961 I think you’re right, but even if the don’t want these more progressive policies, they still want a solution. Maybe a solution can be found that is somewhere between M4A and current dysfunction? Just a thought. Maybe there is a workable solution between Green New Deal and burying our heads in the sand? Would be nice. One of the strengths of a democratic capitalist system is that we can take useful components from policies with which we don’t agree generally. We don’t have to be ideologically brittle. Most people have both liberal and conservative values and we should accept that, rather than try to eradicate one side or the other of ourselves.
