Terribly scary, but the fact that the steering wheel was locked by a club security device is comedy gold.

Will this affect his transfer to Liberty University? đ

@michaelquon1754 Chromebombâs statement isnât inconsistent with the video. Itâs the truth. The man protecting her might have saved her life, but there were still people pepper spraying her and punching her while he held her and was (presumably) hustling her out of there. If you donât think thatâs insane, that says everything about you. If you donât see the viciousness and immorality of beating someone who canât fight back, youâre a psychopath and everyone around you needs to be far away from you for their own safety.

âOne person was arrested.â Last one in(to their cars) is a rotten egg!

@lookoutforchris Who has a phone shaped like a pistol? Thatâs a firearm and the Officer was a split second away from being shot.
20
I donât know why anyone would want to miss this thrilling death defying pursuit in its entirety, but you can skip ahead to 11:45 to see the arrest.
17
Youâre out of line. You donât know if the perpetrator had or hadnât served his debt to society for his previous crimes. His drunk driving conviction was in 2007. He was driving on a suspended license. He had a FTA warrant. These are all HIS failures, and have nothing to do with the court system. Stop using other peoplesâ tragedies to score your anti-government political points.

I saw this footage last night in a different report. Itâs clear from the video that the dead man had a weapon in his waistband that he drew during the struggle and that he was a split second from shooting the officer. In the comments of that report were many claiming it was a cellphone. People see what they want to see, but who keeps their phone tucked into their waistband? San Bernardino LE has a reputation for racism, and that has to end. However, this video is not evidence of police abuse of power. Thereâs plenty of shit to protest without losing credibility by going after a justifiable shooting.

I donât think it was the speed so much as the wall was stationary. If that wall was moving at the same speed and same direction as the truck, these people would still be alive. Thereâs also the angle angle. If the wall had been built at an angle, the truck would have glanced off of it, like a bullet ricochet. Probably only the victim in the passenger seat would have died. I admit Iâm not an angle expert, despite being born in Los Angles. I got a C in trig. Are there any engineers out there that can discuss oblique and acute angles to break down this crash? Anyway, my main point is that it was PHYSICS that caused this fatal crash, but most people are avoiding that discussion and blaming the victims. PHYSICS KILLS, and society seems all right with that. We can put a man on the moon, but we canât seem to stop people dying in car crashes. I think itâs time to investigate BIG PHYSICS.

Threatening speech crosses the line. If itâs true that this expelled student made threats or implied them, then he has no place on a college campus. But thereâs also the matter of his participation in the attempt to overthrow the government. The University doesnât have to wait for his case to be judged in a courtroom: The evidence of his participation is clear. State universities are allowed to institute their own codes of conduct, and they are allowed to institute their own enforcement of those codes.

Sounds like 1) bad blocking, 2) a problem or mistake by the weaponsmith, and/or 3) a mistake by the stunt coordinator. Bad blocking can mean a bad plan or can mean bad execution (including the actor not hitting his marks). The DP is involved in setting up the blocking, and itâs possible she was not were she was supposed to be when the firearm was discharged. Itâs possible Baldwin didnât hit his mark when he discharged the weapon. Thereâs also the chance that Baldwin was fucking around, but the AD, the gunsmith, the stunt coordinator, the director should have put an immediate stop until the problem was resolved.

This doesnât look good for the resource officer. Shooting at a fleeing suspect? He will need to prove that he had reasonable fear for his own life. If the car was trying to run him down, heâd have justification. But driving away as he approaches from the side? Also, shooting in a high school parking lot right after school seems questionable. Pray for the injured girl, thank God no one else was hurt.

@geoffrey1012 Theyâre psychologically spoiled children. Their moral development is at about the level of a spoiled demanding four year old. Those that are bosses are the type that crap in their hand and want you to sniff it and tell them it smells good. None of them thought they were doing anything wrong until they got arrested. Now half are defiant, the other half trying to weasel out of it. These people have adult bodies, but THEY ARE INFANTS.
8
That is likely what the shooting investigation will find and recommend. But seriously, police officers have to be aware of whatâs behind the target. If itâs a wall that might conceal innocents, they have to choose their shots accordingly. The bad guys have no such limitations in a gunfight.
8
Ask your doctor for a psychiatric referral.

My speculation is that they were racing. Just a spur of the moment challenge at the intersection between strangers, no bad intentions but a lot of stupidity.
8
99.99% sure this was accidental. Without more information, itâs hard to tell who messed up.
8
Oh, the legal costs will hurt, but they wonât ruin most of these yuppie fascists. All those blue collar working class schmoes with economic anxiety that the Dems are accused of ignoring? Turns out theyâre business owners and professionals with 6+ figure salaries. So much downtrodden, such economic struggle.
7
This is terrific!

This has nothing to do with environmentalism and everything to do with NIMBYism. The freeway has been blocked since the 70s by the City of South Pasadena, an upper class suburb of L.A. However, the residences of South Pas have a point: the Freeway would have split the city in half. There were other proposals, such as tunneling under South Pas, but they fought that, too.
7
And the votes are being counted. The bunch of crap is your not understanding the basis upon which news networks call elections. That basis is called math.
7
His DUI conviction was in 2007. He was driving on a suspended license. This was all in the video. What was his punishment in 2007 that you think was too lenient? The fact is, some people are going to continue making shitty life decisions regardless of how severely they are punished. This guy is one of those people.
7
@garyhoover9983 donât forget hockey stick. Why would anyone with peaceful intentions bring that to a riot? Was he hoping that a hockey game would break out?
7
The extreme right disparages common decency and respect for others as politically correct and feign horror at âcancel cultureâ when there are consequences for shouting racial epithets. Yet at the same time, the extreme right will attack, smear, and cancel anyone who says or does something that hurts Trumpâs fragile feefees (or their own). Iâm not sure itâs fair to call them hypocrites, since that would require self awareness. They sure do have thin skin, yet they demand others stop being so sensitive. The issue here wasnât the schoolâs athletic program rejecting the athlete because of his language. It was his teammates. At some point you will understand that decent people donât want to be around unAmerican racists and bigots. If you donât like it, leave and form your own country where you have total liberty to do what you want without respect for others.
7
@Cold_Cactus On the brink of failure (any day now) and unlivable for almost 60 years. Yes, California has problems, just like any state. But at least itâs not Florida.
7
Iâll take spot the white supremacist for 800, Alex. For 800, the answer is, this cheesebrainâs head is so fat that it canât even fit his avatar. Who is vincent?
6
Do you support them without understanding the issue merely because theyâre truckers? I suspect they have a just cause here, but their occupation doesnât make it automatic. And please stop with the veiled threat of starving society. Truckers donât actually grow food. If they donât want to transport it, others will. Farmers grow food and if they decide to stop, someone else will grow it. Iâm fine with their right to protest. If they want to engage in civil disobedience and accept the consequences, I wonât try to stop them. This seems nothing like the freedom convoy jagoffs.
6
The most shocking thing here is that she lives in Encino.
6
Thatâs a good idea. Pull your kids out of school.

For some, rage is a thrill seeking behavior. It gives them an adrenaline rush. And for some of those, just like some drug addicts, they seek greater highs with increasingly outrageous behavior. They begin to look for justifications and excuses, even as their anger response becomes more and more disproportionate. And here is the thing: they hide this behavior from those closest to them, just as some addicts and alcoholics do with their friends and loved ones.

Iâm looking forward to it, too! La Familia Dodger vs La Familia Enano, game 5 is going to be great. But why you always gotta talk about money? Youâd think that the Bay Area was poor, not one of the richest places in the world. Itâs highly ironic that youâre trying to frame this rivalry as the âscrappy poor kidsâ vs the âthe stuck up rich kidsâ. How is it our fault if the Giants ownership are greedy tightwads while the Dodgers are willing to pay players what theyâre worth? Besides, youâre missing the ânerds vs popular kidsâ angle. Can we just admit that whoever wins this game, the real enemy is Houston?
5
Suspect wasnât shot. Did you even watch the video?
5
Wear a mask.
5
Yeah, itâs not the wacky messages on the car. This is Southern California. Plenty of wackos with weird messages on their vehicles driving around everyday. Itâs not something extremely rare to see, plus itâs Hollywood. Iâm not saying that mental illness played no part in this incident.
5
How about you donât want your kids to learn about different family structures, you home school them.
5
Ended two strangersâ lives over a parking spot.
5
Letâs see how good of a witness youâd be if you were trapped in a backseat with incoming fire. Youâd stick your head up and look around, would you? Gosh darn, you must have nerves of steel and a cool head under fire. Me? Iâd be examining the floor mats up close.
4
Bless your heart, as the polite little old southern ladies say when theyâre damning your soul to perdition. Bless your lying little Satan worshiping heart.

âCaptain, the suspect says he wonât negotiations unless we give him some crack.â âSargent Murphy! You keep crack in your patrol car for sprinkling on deceased suspects, do you not?â âYes, sir.â âGo get it. We might need it sooner rather than later. Oh, and Sargent?â âYes, sir?â âBring me back a couple of fat rocks, too.â
4
Hahahaha, thatâs a clever joke.
4
The courts support a pretty broad definition of an officer fearing imminent threat of death, but a car driving away from the resource officer probably doesnât fit that definition. Unless there is something we didnât see, such as the car occupants pointing a firearm, this is (probably) going to have very serious consequences for the officer, especially if the girl dies.
4
Yes, itâs constitutionally protected and the Supreme Court as affirmed this. (Also religious gatherings.) Itâs still dumb as heck and counter to the protestors own supposed aims. Theyâre prolonging the pandemic with these actions. The longer these infants refuse to make the minor sacrifice of their convenience, the worse the virus will spread and the longer it will take the economy to recover. I like to imagine that if the virus spread from farts, these same people would claim that pants are a communist plot.
4
Theyâre doubling the fine for masks, but are they doubling the penalties for disruptive and violent passengers?
4
I completely agree. Were you around ten years ago during the âTaco Truck Warâ, when the brick and mortar restaurants were trying to get the taco trucks shut down? The taqueros all got together, hired legal representation, and fought like hell for a licensing and inspection system that would allow them to operate their businesses. They answered every issue thrown at the, with a solution. Itâs not just a matter of being mad at the one guy stealing business and not playing by the rules, either. If the unlicensed vendor (who isnât getting regularly inspected because he can fly under the radar) causes sickness due to unsanitary conditions, ALL the taqueros get blamed. The food truck program works successfully because the County Board of Health makes the permit holders accountable. This one scofflaw could put this at risk with one salmonella outbreak.

PITs are not as effective on larger vehicles. Thereâs also the issue of higher center of gravityâa PIT maneuver might send a tall profile vehicle tumbling unpredictably, possibly into oncoming traffic.
4
@dac518 Your anti-social behavior infringes on the rights of others to pursue their own lives, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. If the police are increasing in power, itâs because of people like you, thinking they can do whatever the fuck they want without consequence. If you donât want to live by the rules and norms of society, you should go far away from humanity and do whatever you want in isolation.
4
What are you talking about? Do you know what âReconciliationâ means in the Senate? Did you know itâs been two weeks since the inauguration, not months and months?
4
I did too, and not because Iâm a Newsom supporter. Iâm a democracy supporter, and this recall was an attempt by the few to disenfranchise the many.
4
When many accidents occur in the same place year after year, and the local authorities do not respond despite pleas by residents for changes to the road design, then yes, there is a greater blame on the city, D.O.T., or whatever agency has jurisdiction over roads in North Hills. Someone is responsible for a larger problem that contributes to these individual cases. Is it really that hard to understand?
4
Glad to hear that, Drool. This isnât whatâs going on here in this shooting. A different agency is investigating the sheriffâs deputy. LAPD and LASD are not known to be chummy organizations. Maybe you should restrict yourself to topics you know something about.
