  4. Eric, I think you might need an Astro Pneumatic 4980 Air Hammer, might make it easier than using a handheld hammer.

  5. Would be interesting to see inside parts you don't take apart, maybe with a borescope. Wonder if the block wasn't machined flat or the head, so it never made a perfect seal from the factory.

  6. I had a 2011 Prius and never had any issue with the engine. I took care of it correctly, which isn't generally what happened to engines that make it to Eric's video.

  10. In the US car manufacturers aren't allowed to have specialized oil that you can only get from the dealer, unless it's free, see Magnuson Morris Act.

  14. That buzzing is just the low air pressure warning. It's the yellow button next to the red one on the dash, push it in to release the brakes and pull it out to set the brakes.

  18. The "dipstick" tube is for extracting oil. They probably use an electronic sensor for oil level.

  27. People put oil down the cylinders to try and free up the pistons so that can get the engine to turn over.

  49. Use a fully synthetic oil and use an oil flush at each oil change and you can go 15k but you also have to change it based on time too, one year regardless of miles.
