@MannyC711 If you use cheap oil of course you have to change it more often. If you use a good oil it lasts much longer and saves money over the course of even a year.
1
@paulspomer16 Haha. The lab I sent oil samples to would disagree.
1
You can skip the walnut blasting if you do something like a BG induction cleaning.
1
Overkill? Is that even possible?
1
Have you ever taken apart an engine that uses a dry sump setup?
1
Remember, safety last.
1
They would have to have driven it more than a semi truck does per year in order to get that many miles on since new, doing 40k a year. So my guess is 70K

Might just be gelled fuel "science experimant"
1
Maintenance, what's that?
1
Lack of maintenance, sad.
1
@iadr Carbon did hurt the engine, then it was left outside because it wouldn't turn over. Using a good quality fuel cleaner would have prevented it from getting this bad. I work in the automotive service industry.
1
People that own Rolls Royce and Bentley cars don't care about speed they care about comfort.
1
There is another way Eric, an endoscope.
1
Dealer serviced means the cheapest bulk oil available.

Did the European market get a different engine?

Someone messed up, at the engineering stage.
1
Are the heads going to be in another video?

@ratdude747 The engine is already dead.
1
Yes, that's how the oil filter comes off.
1
Why was I expecting Eric to be sitting on the wrench when it suddenly broke free.
1
No need for parts that dent will come out from inside the fender.
1
Hard water used in the cooling system?
1
I have a feeling someone else messed with the head bolts.
1
Does that engine have pressed in cylinder liners?
1
Looks like pancake batter.
1
You'll have plenty of good parts to sell.
1
Get this man a plasma cutter....and an air hammer.
1
Mechanical over rev and is it possible this is a non interference engine?
1
Sounds like a manufacturing issue.
1
I had a 351 in my '93 F-150.
1
Wonder if this engine came from the old channel - Will It Blend
1
@thomasfletcher760 You can see a review here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EUihNKCJXI. it includes Eric from SMA
1
It's car murder
1
A quick clean with a laser will get rid of that rust in the cylinder walls.
1
Would have been nice if you cleaned the pistons.
1
AstroTools if you want a pneumatic impact and Dewalt DCF961 if you want a battery powered one, based on the results from the Torque Test Channel here on the Youtubes.
1
When you spend all your money on a car that you can't afford routine maintenance.
1
Finally, an external combustion engine.
1
An engine with barnacles.
1
My Audi just killed its second engine, this time with a cracked piston.
1
I think it takes about 12 gallons give or take a gallon
1
I had a 2011 Prius and never had any mechanical issues.
1
The whole time, I'm wondering why there is a box labeled Chicken Tenderloins under the bench.
1
Manufacturing defect like all the other recalled 6.2L's. Why do companies like Honda and Toyota not have any issues with 0W-16 and 0W-8 oils?
1
There is the option to switch to a waterless coolant.
