The great irony is that this rifle is illigal in california. I cant tell if this is funny or painfull
727
And so let forth his mighty battle cry "HOOWAAAAAAAAA"
675
"Oh i get it, they use the impact fuse grenades so that they wont be primed until they are fired and hit something, thats a clever safety mechanism" Ian: "So as you can see theres a striker infront of the chamber "Oh no"
635
I think the most important aspect of this design is the magnificent plum color of the metal.
328
Josh King the m249 seems like a pain in the ass
156
The tigerstripe on that stock is absolutely majestic
133
Interesting story! out of curiosity in the 80s was bulgaria issueing AK74s commonly or was it still largely Milled 7.62 guns?
102
Made in California Also illegal here the irony it burns
76
avshutsach Doesent matter, in the state of california its not transferable
75
Exceptionally S L I C C
73
get out of here stalker
72
It makes you wonder how many unregistered machine guns are floating around out there. Probably tons more than you think considering most of America outside of the big cities is fairly rural, I wouldn't be surprised if people run off into the forest and shoot them with some regularity
70
thats a funny mental immage, this big ol SMG with a tiney pistol box mag sticking out of the side
68
"I got a pocket full of shells" I appreciate that refrerence
67
@nikitajukov4915 I love how they had to add that because they knew right off the bat someone would do it
65
Yeah i dont trust it, this guy says they are allegedly good intentioned but the ATF has done so much horrific stuff it seems like you are playing games with your life in contacting them. Lets say great grand pappy dies and you pick up a couple of his guns, you see a norinco AK and assume that its just one of the 11 million semi auto ones that got imported in the 80s. you dont pay much attention to it then it goes in the safe. a year or two later you get to looking at it, check what it is and call the ATF, what if they decide that you where initially trying to hide it from them? Its all fun and games until you get ruby ridged
65
@lucky43113 There are not enough MG owners to really hold any political power, aswell as the fact NUMEROUS MG owners online have stated they would rather the regestry open then keep there investment. Including Ian by the way
64
probably lots of deer hunting.
61
Huh looks like if one was so inclined, you could still load up those cases for use. assuming one could find a proper pressure load.
60
yeah that sounds like what? 850? 900?
54
+Peter Timowreef "Its time we lock your flapper until a suitable groom comes along."
50
I mean if i had a mansion i can assure you there would be a shooting parlor complete with retro design, drink, and a vintage 22 short slide rifle
50
at a local outdoor range someone clearly was shooting a g3 derivative because there where 308 cases with a star pattern burnt onto them lodged half way in the dirt in the side of the canyon
49
I would buy one just for the laughs of hipshooting it at cans in the desert
48
@Stoopidmunky the tool marks are so bad that they almost transcend oversight and morph into decoration
47
To be frank, a revolver is innocent enough looking that i doubt anyone would give him trouble, also muzzle breaks are legal in CA. Now where you get into debates is stuff like the A2 muzzle devise which is a break that also supresses flash. Hence why on some websites you see it sold as a break and on some as a flash hider, basically so if someone in cali got harrased over it they could hold up a recipt. worth the risk? thats for the individual to decide
46
@bigbosso5604 you can if your the ultimate lifeform
46
@shaler950 Exactly, people are missing the point here, its not impenetrable, nothing is, not even a 10k mounted in the ground gun safe. but your not going to break into this without alot of fiddling, which means your guns not going to be used aganst you and MOST IMPORTANTLY, considering its the cause of most non intentional gun deaths in the US, your kids not going to grab it and turn your failure to secure a weapon into a tragedy.
40
heck even proprietary mags would not be an issue if they where not expencive
39
letsgoiowa you want to know something interesting? izhmash did that its markted as a "target" gun
38
Yeah it was not for lack of quality, they just wanted no part
37
a good upload for evening boredom. Is the designation actually "scorpion" or is that just a shnazzy nickname?
37
Anyone else notice the bluing is actually pretty snazzy
36
It looks like something you would find as a made up gun in a movie or video game
36
@dak4465 hold on now my dude, lets not pretend ww2 was fought with respect or civility. My grandfather was on the eastern front and was adamant that it was anything butt.
33
i love how the gun is this industrial marvel and the mount looks like its a repurposed horse carriage
32
shalafi4 how far are you on reverse engeneering it? it seems like the stats would be available somewhere.
31
If it was brought in the country before 1968 there is no requirement for a serial number
31
Shotguns are kind of like that sometimes, you can have 5 identicle off the rack guns and for some reason one will pattern tighter than the others
31
Nah like 400
29
any rifle would do that though, rifles are not meant to be squad support weapons, dumping 360 rounds through a rifle in rapid succession is going to cause problems. Considering the average combat load seems to be in between 6 and 9 mags, most guns are not even carried with enough ammo for that to be a problem.
28
Probably why the bullet was tungsten
27
@no1DdC i imagine thats probably where it failed, in a big troop movement and individual solder haveing to reload every 32 rounds is not really much a difference over 72, but the number of mags that can be carried might be
26
@cnlbenmc Please stop spreading that absolute nonsence, it doesent "BOUNCE AROUND"
24
just goes to show how gun control in the US would never work, there are probably billions of rounds of ammunition sitting in peoples cellers, simply haveing center fire cartredges in wide circulation means people can build remarkable stuff, look at all the open bolt sten esq tube guns floating around in 3rd world countrys, or the simple pipe shotgun
23
Forgotten Weapons I wonder how difficult it would be to rechamber an M1 garand to 22-06. seems like it could simply be accomplished by a new barrel. are there any necicary modifycations required to the gasport since 2 projectiles pass by it in such rapid secession while both may still be in the barrel?
22
rambokicksass77 Haha your right that would be pretty neat. lightweight, heat resistant, and most importantly styleish. How do I know its heat resistant? well, having tried to burn a piece of bamboo many times I will inform you that its simply not happening
21
absolutely
