  2. I have done hundreds of interviews for my own personal companies as well as major consulting companies. There has never been any nepotism involved. You might see that for internal postings (manager, director, etc.) but it is rare for a job that is offered purely to fill a needed role. It is just there are so dang many resumes and these days they are all practically identical.

  4.  tonygarcia2591  Indian developers knocked my consulting rate down by 1/2. But I am semi-retired and work because I want to, not have to. Even with my rate at 1/2 of what it was I still do better than $150K/year but I liked it better back when it was $300K/year. I live a $50K a year lifestyle and have owned my own home and car for years so this is just going into investments so no net difference to me or mine.

  14. I had roommates, drank plain-wrap beer, garage sale and milk crate furniture. I made homemade Hamburger Helper bc I could not afford the actual package stuff. So, boo hoo.
